I present this re-run of some old news just to prove a point...read it now and ask yourself, "Where are all the religious Democrats?" If you're like me you'll say, "There are none!" The point is, will you remember this religious scheme the next time around? Socialist Democrats will always feign religion for one and only one reason; to get votes...and that should be the number one reason not to vote for the hypocrits. - Norman E. Democrats Find Religion?

All of a sudden, the national Democratic Party has found religion.

The first official event of the recent Democratic National Convention was an interfaith service, complete with a Gospel choir and a rabbi reciting the Torah.

As the Associated Press reported, “Four years ago, such a scene would have been unthinkable at a Democratic National Convention.” But this year, faith is as popular as cell phones along the campaign trail, and Democratic Party officials are trying to get into the action.

Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama talks often of his faith. Look a little deeper, however, and you discover that the man that supposedly led him to Jesus was the fiery Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who also urged the Almighty to damn America.

Is this really religion? Or is this more show biz from a political party known for its Hollywood connections?

One of the problems with some Democrats invoking faith is the fact that faith and morals are supposed to go together, like the Old Testament and the New. One’s moral code is supposed to grow out of one’s faith in God. Yet, with some Democratic leaders, faith appears to be totally divorced from morals.

Take, for instance, John Edwards, the fair-haired boy whose star recently plummeted from the political sky following revelations he had had an extra-marital affair and lied about it. Edwards was nowhere to be found at the recent Democratic Party festivities. Instead, we received a command performance from former philanderer-in-chief, Bill Clinton. Like Edwards, Clinton had fooled around and lied about it. The issue here isn’t forgiveness—certainly any person of faith is required to forgive the transgressions of politicians—but integrity and repentance. A number of Clinton’s Democratic apologists will claim to this day that “everyone lies about sex”—a remark offensive to those who see both adultery and lying as sins against the Commandments.

There is another irony in the Democratic Party trying to claim religion’s crown. After all, Democrats and members of the American Civil Liberties Union have done their best to prevent prayer in schools, City Hall manger scenes, and other sincere expressions of faith. The Dems have spent 75 years banning prayer, and now they’re bowing their heads at party breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

I’m not really sure which is worse—being overtly hostile to religion, or playing the religious card in a hypocritical attempt to win votes. In either case, it would seem that Democratic Party leaders still don’t get it when it comes to ordinary Americans and their religious faith.

You see, for many Americans, God is the source and goal of their lives. They go to church not to score political points, but to pay homage to their Creator and Sustainer. They offer grace at meals not for the benefit of the TV cameras, but for the sake of their souls. Their faith is genuine—not like a costume they put on for some kind of morality play.

One can only hope that voters this fall, when examining the various candidates, will consider that Biblical admonition—by their fruits you will know them. Actions preach louder than words uttered by politicians in the shadow of the convention hall.

Only when Democratic Party officials’ prayers translate into pro-family policies can we say that their conversion is real.

Liberals Are Wasting Our Economy Away

What are the characteristics of a political messiah, let alone a spiritual messiah? First of all, he would redeem the situation and provide deliverance. Certainly President Obama was our most radical left-wing senator.

Many campaign promises have evaporated, others are coming into focus. The great lie of change and hope is that federal spending and socialist/marxist policies will fix our economy and nation.

Such change and hope are un-American, fraudulent and anti-Christian. Nationalizing our failing economy and destroying and redistributing personal wealth are marxist dogma. Saying that the private sector "doesn't work." Debt is being created (3.6 trillion); not wealth, not jobs. Taxes are being increased, to punish corporations, the successful and the responsible. A class war, a war on capitalism.

Take Note: President Obama is intentionally crashing the economy, because he regards America as an unjust and unfair capitalist nation. Since the federal government is broke, spending is being financed on a credit card — stimulating more financial fraud, with unrealistic plans of repayment. Liberal socialists talk of a central world bank that would issue currency.

Where are our patriots, at a time when individual liberty and freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution and Bill of Rights are eroded day by day?

One who openly violates his oath of office, to uphold the U.S. Constitution, should be removed by impeachment. What American patriot would give credibility to President Obama and his administration? Please call and write your elected representatives. Socialism is here. It is oppressive and ugly.

His poll numbers shrinking, his initiatives failing, Barack Obama returns to his Waffles:

“It hasn’t taken long for the recriminations to return — or for the Obama administration to begin talking about the unwelcome “inheritance” of its predecessor.

Over the past month, Obama has reminded the public at every turn that he is facing problems “inherited” from the Bush administration, using increasingly bracing language to describe the challenges his administration is up against. The “deepening economic crisis” that the president described six days after taking office became “a big mess” in remarks this month to graduating police cadets in Columbus, Ohio.

“By any measure,” he said during a March 4 event calling for government-contracting reform, “my administration has inherited a fiscal disaster.”

Obama’s more frequent and acid reminders that former president George W. Bush left behind a trillion-dollar budget deficit, a 14-month recession and a broken financial system have come at the same time Republicans have ramped up criticism that the current president’s policies are compounding the nation’s economic problems.

Obama had initially been content to leave partisan defense strategy to his proxies, but as the fiscal picture has continued to darken, he has appeared more willing to risk his image as a politician who is above petty partisanship to personally remind the public of Bush’s legacy.

His approval ratings remain strong — above 60 percent, according to the most recent Gallup poll — but have dropped from their highs almost entirely because of falling support among Republicans since he took office.”

Of course the whole “inherited” in itself a lie. The Stock Market has tanked more than 3000 points since Obama took office, as well as 1.2 million jobs. But this is typical of Obama, as he blame-gamed all throughout the primaries and the campaign. Just remember that “thrown under the bus” got a new meaning as Obama chucked friends, life-long pastors and others under his bus to remain “clean”.

It will only get worse was conditions worsen. Obama IS failing, and it won’t be long before more - than just RINO Republicans - turn on him. It will begin in his inner circle, among his confidants.

Expect him now to move more back to center - after spending the last two months on the lunatic fringe doing the bidding of his uber left-wing base - and that will begin the collaspe within that “cabal” that actually brought him to power.
