Former CBS News president Richard Salant (1961 - 64 and 1966 - 79) explained the major media's role: "Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have." ...and to this very day most Americans haven't noticed they're being brained washed! ~ N. Hooben
The separation of church and state guarantees that both are equally protected. Including my own preference of ignoring both types of silliness. It has worked admirably for over 200 years. The radical right is entirely too comfortable on the slippery slope.
Luckily, it's still a free country. Including the freedom of deluding one's self into believing what doesn't exist (as long as it doesn't interfere with anyone else's rights).
You think that just waving a flag and thumping a bible makes you a good American? It's a simplistic, short-sighted view.
And that, not envy, is the reason that even our friends can barely stand us.
Michael... I'm not sure where you are coming from (or for that matter, where you are going) either you do not explain yourself fully or I'm just an another ignoramous. And why bring in the radical right? Where are they referenced?
