Americans Finally Starting To See Through The President's Prevarications

As much as Barack Obama professes his admiration for our 16th POTUS, Abraham Lincoln, B.O. still seems determined to disprove one of Honest Abe's most famous bromides:

"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." (Abraham Lincoln )

The fact that this duplicitous non-achiever was elected in the first place proves his ability to fool nearly all of the people some of the time. Despite a near total lack of credentials, a voting record vacillating between rad-lib and "present," and a passel of communists, terrrorists, anti-Semites and criminials in his close circle of friends, Obama rather easily fooled nearly all of the people in our great land. Especially those who went to journalism school.

The increasingly tin-tongued Speechifier-in-Chief seems deterrmined to flay the dead horse that Obamacare has become, just as he continues out in front of the politically correct nit-wit national security apparatus he has constructed, believing that he merely needs to find the right way to parse his promotion of these bankrupt ideas so his intellectual inferiors can finally "get it."

Well, we're getting it, all right. The latest Rasmussen poll demonstrates just how much of America Obama has lost. When asked whether B.O.'s proposed freeze of discretionary federal spending would help much, fully 9% of respondents agreed that it would while 81% of those polled believed that the freeze would be little help, if any.
I'm sure Joy Behar, Keith Olbermann and Henry Waxman are still on board. After all, Lincoln did state that you can fool some of the people, all of the time. The starry eyed residents of Lib La-La Land are snug in their tin-foil hats with their Obama blankie to keep them safe and warm. It appears that all Obama has left is the true believers. After nearly a year of B.O.'s fork-tongued pontificating, he is reduced to fooling almost none of the people, all of the time.

Is Maywood, California the most corrupt and racist city in America?

It seems that the Los Angeles Times has just figured out that Maywood, California is corrupt. Maywood has a population of 30,000, 96% are Latino, half are foreign born and a good portion are illegal aliens. Funny that corruption should happen in a town just south of LA that has had a massive influx of Latin American illegal aliens.

Maywood has declared itself a sanctuary city and closed its traffic division at the urging of illegal aliens and their supporters after too many cars were being towed because those stopped didn't have driver's licenses. There are also pushes in the community to rename elementary schools after former Mexican President Benito Juarez. Maywood also had police stand by during an anti illegal immigration rally as Mexican reconquistas and illegal aliens raised a Mexican flag over the post office.

When immigrants, both legal and illegal, come here and don't assimilate, they bring their form of "justice, law and government" with them - all of which are corrupt in their home countries.

The Times story focuses on the 37 member all male police department, they deem as a "haven for misfit cops" and found that a third have previous criminal histories or suspicions of such, but the problem is obviously widespread throughout the community. Other law enforcement communities refer to Maywood police as the department of "second chances".

Among those on the job: A former Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy terminated for abusing jail inmates; a onetime Los Angeles Police Department officer fired for intimidating a witness; and an ex-Huntington Park officer charged with negligently shooting a handgun and driving drunk.

... included [are] accusations that police and city leaders were on the take from the owner of a local tow company; that a longtime officer was extorting sex from relatives of a criminal fugitive; that a police officer tried to run over the president of the Maywood Police Commission in the parking lot of City Hall; that an officer impregnated a teenage police explorer; and that officers had covered up the truth.

In addition, the newly appointed police chief has a suspicious past.

Back in August of 2006 I covered the Save Our State rally in Maywood where cars of the protesters were vandalized and had their tires slashed, a woman was assaulted as well as a 70-year-old man who was slashed and the police stood by and did nothing.

Arriving at the rally, the setup by the police was such that the protesters were actually forced to walk through illegal alien thugs in order to get to their location. During this trek, a woman protester was assaulted and beaten as police stood by and watched. On top of this, because of the parking situation, a number of the protesters cars were attacked and damaged by illegal aliens who saw them arrive. A few cars were spray painted and numerous car's tires were slashed.

I would deem Maywood, California the face of things to come in American cities across the country if illegal immigration is not put in check and if legal immigrants are not expected to assimilate. Currently the path this country is on will allow corruption to flow out of control. We no longer seem to care if immigrants assimilate. Groups, businesses and even our governments throughout the country support these unwilling immigrants by providing massive amounts of Spanish language channels, translation services, handholding and directions on how to apply for social services or file lawsuits soon after they arrive in this country.

Now none of this is wrong when it comes to helping newly arrived legal immigrants, but the fact is that this is not a short time program to help them get going on their feet and fit into American society. It is a concerted effort to allow third world communities to flourish within the United States with no loyalty or willingness to adapt to our way of government and beliefs.

Maywood is just an example of a community overrun that then elects officials who dismantle laws in order to encourage lawlessness and the continued invasion of this country by illegal immigrants. And dare I say it, it's all purely racist in nature. There would be public outcry by groups across the country if specific laws were thrown away to protect the Black, White or Asian individuals in the community from facing responsibility for their actions, but that is specifically what Maywood has done by becoming a "sanctuary city" and getting rid of laws because they are "a burden" to the almost 100% Hispanic illegal aliens in the city.

How much longer are we going to stand by as Americans and watch this?

Amid the chaos, Bruce Leflar, still listed on the department's website as chief, abruptly stopped showing up for work last fall.

And the officer whom he'd appointed to clean up the department, Al Hutchings, agreed to resign his post after being told a videotape had been made of him allegedly having an on-duty liaison with the female owner of a local doughnut store...

Sounds pretty funny, but perhaps we should look at those supposedly respectable forces who've enabled this corruption.

Has Message For Little Girls...

LOS ANGELES Bullock wants to spread a strong message to young girls...

Sandra Bullock played the sexually pent-up, over-informed nerd Mary in the comedy "All About Steve," and the experience of being ridiculed onscreen made her remember her own childhood difficulties.

"Why is that young boys and men are unique and eccentric and mavericks when they're different but women are ‘odd’ when we are eccentric or different? Would I have wished someone would have said to me when I was 12 or eight when I had my speech impediment? Uniqueness is something my mother pounded it into me," Bullock recently told Tarts. "She said be unique and I didn’t understand it then, now I look at it and I go I wouldn’t want to be like anyone else and I know I’m off. I had a lisp as a child, it’s all these things that made me different and I tried to squelch and then once I realized I had squelched them I didn’t feel like myself anymore."

Bullock is so upset with the unwritten rules and regulations in today’s world she wants to spread a strong message to young girls.

"Don’t change, be who you are. Society is really strong in their opinions so I made peace with the fact that the things I thought were weaknesses or flaws were just me," she added. "Why are we forcing people to follow another person’s path in life taking away their real happiness? What is about us that is a culture that tries to get rid of what we consider the runt? Sometimes the runt turns out to be the best of the litter."

Its not that I don't like going to movies, its just that there are not enough of them to get me in the mood. Over the past holiday season (Thanksgiving and Christmas) we spent the better part of two months on Cape Cod. I don't know what it was that attracted me to the theater in one of the local shopping areas, but it was there that I saw the ad for "The Blind Side" starring Sandra Bullock...it got me in the mood (the ad or Sandra, take your pick). Rather than me give you a synopsis, let me just say, "Go see it!" Blind Side is an excellent movie and according to the ad, a true story. Brown spokesman expects new Mass. Senator to be seated by Feb. 11

An issue that refuses to go away, which surrounded the Scott Brown Senate campaign, was when Senator-elect Brown (R - MA) would be certified and sworn in as Massachusetts’s new U.S. Senator.

The Washington Times spoke to Mr. Brown’s spokesman Felix Browne, who said they expect the GOP’er from Wrentham to be seated in the Senate by February 11.

On Thursday, Senate Democrats passed a $1.9 trillion increase in the federal debt limit. This legislation was passed with all Democrats voting for it and all Republicans voting against it. The bill now goes to the House and if passed, another vote on the debt will not happen until well after the mid-term elections in 2011.

Senator Paul Kirk (D – MA), who will be replaced by Mr. Brown, voted for the bill, which led some to question why Mr. Kirk is still voting on legislation. While Senate Democrat Jim Webb of Virginia requested that health care votes should not happen until the new Massachusetts Senator is seated, almost two weeks have passed since the election, and Rep. Niki Tsongas (D-MA) was seated two days after the 2007 special election for former Rep. Marty Meehan's seated. The Democrats needed Ms. Tsongas to help overturn President Bush's veto of the expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP.)

“He [Scott Brown] believes we spend too much and we borrow too much, so raising the debt ceiling doesn’t sound like the kind of thing he would support,” said Mr. Browne of the Senator-elect.

According to the Brown spokesman, Senator-elect Brown and his staff are monitoring votes on the Hill as they come up. “If there is anything of concern, he may seek to expedite his seating,” said Mr. Browne. However, as of now, “hi-jinks or chicanery” is not suspected at the state level, Mr. Browne noted. “The process appears to be unfolding and proceeding in a natural way.”

A rogue aviation network with links to al Qaeda is regularly flying drugs and weapons across the Atlantic Ocean, according to documentary evidence found by the Reuters news agency.

The US Department of Homeland Security report detailing "the most significant development in the criminal exploitation of aircraft since 9/11" was initially ignored by officials in early 2008.

They claim al Qaeda links were unclear at the time.

Described as a global security threat by officials in several countries, the network is allegedly transporting illegal goods from South America to the West African coast where the group al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb operates.

From here, officials believe that drugs are smuggled across the Sahara desert into Europe.

Reuters interviews with officials in the United States and three West African nations found at least 10 aircraft, including several retired Boeing 727s and executive jets, have been discovered since 2006.

The Sahel region in Mali has become a stronghold for a faction of al Qaeda

Actual numbers are thought to be significantly higher.

Reuters thinks the air network was set up by drug smugglers to transport tonnes of cocaine from the Andes to African countries including Mali, Sierra Leone, Mauritania and Guinea Bissau, where disused landing strips act as makeshift runways.

The US Drug Enforcement Agency said all aircraft seized in West Africa started their journeys in Venezuela, ideally located for flights to Africa on the Caribbean and Atlantic coast.

UN representative Alexandre Schmidt urged action from the international community against the rogue network, adding the issue should be the "highest concern" for governments in West Africa, Western Europe, Russia and the US.

"When you have this high capacity for transporting drugs into West Africa, this means that you have the capacity to transport as well other goods, so it is definitely a threat to security anywhere in the world," he said.

The issue highlights the need for central intelligence agencies to step up the effort to get a clear picture of the situation.

US President Barack Obama rebuked intelligence officials recently after their failure to spot and prevent the alleged attempt to blow up a plane over Detroit on Christmas Day.
