Census ‘faked’ 2012 election jobs report

 

In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington.
The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated.
And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it.
Just two years before the presidential election, the Census Bureau had caught an employee fabricating data that went into the unemployment report, which is one of the most closely watched measures of the economy.
And a knowledgeable source says the deception went beyond that one employee — that it escalated at the time President Obama was seeking reelection in 2012 and continues today.
“He’s not the only one,” said the source, who asked to remain anonymous for now but is willing to talk with the Labor Department and Congress if asked.
The Census employee caught faking the results is Julius Buckmon, according to confidential Census documents obtained by The Post. Buckmon told me in an interview this past weekend that he was told to make up information by higher-ups at Census.
Ironically, it was Labor’s demanding standards that left the door open to manipulation.
Labor requires Census to achieve a 90 percent success rate on its interviews — meaning it needed to reach 9 out of 10 households targeted and report back on their jobs status.
Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, I’m told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent.
Philadelphia filled the gap with fake interviews.
“It was a phone conversation — I forget the exact words — but it was, ‘Go ahead and fabricate it’ to make it what it was,” Buckmon told me.
Census, under contract from the Labor Department, conducts the household survey used to tabulate the unemployment rate.
Interviews with some 60,000 household go into each month’s jobless number, which currently stands at 7.3 percent. Since this is considered a scientific poll, each one of the households interviewed represents 5,000 homes in the US.
Buckmon, it turns out, was a very ambitious employee. He conducted three times as many household interviews as his peers, my source said.
By making up survey results — and, essentially, creating people out of thin air and giving them jobs — Buckmon’s actions could have lowered the jobless rate.
Buckmon said he filled out surveys for people he couldn’t reach by phone or who didn’t answer their doors.
But, Buckmon says, he was never told how to answer the questions about whether these nonexistent people were employed or not, looking for work, or have given up.
But people who know how the survey works say that simply by creating people and filling out surveys in their name would boost the number of folks reported as employed.
Census never publicly disclosed the falsification. Nor did it inform Labor that its data was tainted.
“Yes, absolutely they should have told us,” said a Labor spokesman. “It would be normal procedure to notify us if there is a problem with data collection.”
Census appears to have looked into only a handful of instances of falsification by Buckmon, although more than a dozen instances were reported, according to internal documents.
In one document from the probe, Program Coordinator Joal Crosby was ask in 2010, “Why was the suspected … possible data falsification on all (underscored) other survey work for which data falsification was suspected not investigated by the region?”
On one document seen by The Post, Crosby hand-wrote the answer: “Unable to determine why an investigation was not done for CPS,” or the Current Population Survey — the official name for the unemployment report.
With regard to the Consumer Expenditure survey, only four instances of falsification were looked into, while 14 were reported.
I’ve been suspicious of the Census Bureau for a long time.
During the 2010 Census report — an enormous and costly survey of the entire country that goes on for a full year — I suspected (and wrote in a number of columns) that Census was inexplicably hiring and firing temporary workers.
I suspected that this turnover of employees was being done purposely to boost the number of new jobs being report each month. (The Labor Department does not use the Census Bureau for its other monthly survey of new jobs — commonly referred to as the Establishment Survey.)
Last week I offered to give all the information I have, including names, dates and charges to Labor’s inspector general.
I’m waiting to hear back from Labor.
I hope the next stop will be Congress, since manipulation of data like this not only gives voters the wrong impression of the economy but also leads lawmakers, the Federal Reserve and companies to make uninformed decisions.
To cite just one instance, the Fed is targeting the curtailment of its so-called quantitative easing money-printing/bond-buying fiasco to the unemployment rate for which Census provided the false information.
So falsifying this would, in essence, have dire consequences for the country.

Orly Taitz is both a doctor and an attorney and she received an e-mail from Nancy Pelosi. Taitz is an attorney leading 7 cases challenging Barack Obama due to his use of a stolen CT SSN 042-68-4425 issued to Harry Bounel and his use of a fabricated Selective Service Registration and fabricated birth certificate. Taitz has been receiving lately unsolicited e-mails from Valerie Jarett and Nancy Pelosi.
Taitz is posting a part of a lengthy e-mail. Pelosi writes about a young woman, who graduated from College, and as an adult could no longer stay on her father’s health insurance. According to her mother this young lady decided to save money by weaning herself of insulin, fell into a coma and died.
Pelosi goes on writing that cases like this are a reason, why we should support Obama-care.
Here is a response from Dr. Taitz:
“Nancy, I am sorry that this young person passed away, however it happened not because there is something wrong with the country, but because of the girl’s unbelievable stupidity.
I posted below prices on prescription medication. Walmart provided $4 for a month worth of medication for most medications. Link below shows $24 per month for a total supply for Insulin for a month. It is unbelievable that a college graduate could not afford $24 per month for a life saving medication. And even if she could not afford it, she could apply for Medicaid and get it for free. And where were her parents, siblings, who could give her $24 per month?
If she could not pay $24 for a life saving medication, how did she pay for all her other needs, such as rent, phone, car, food, clothing? We have welfare for indigent to cover all of these needs if they are indigent and have no family which can help them, if they fall on hard times. Moreover, this girl could simply get a job. The most basic job at McDonalds could give her enough money to pay for the most basic needs, but as a college graduate, she could clearly find something better than McDonalds.
When I came to this country as an immigrant, I had to pass the boards, so I worked as an assistant and assisted other doctors, cleaned their offices after patients, even cleaned the bathrooms in their offices and took out trash, I did what needed to be done in order to make a living until I pass the boards. When I gave birth to my three sons, I worked and together with my husband paid off all the bills for labor and delivery, for my care and for the pediatric care of our children.
Example, that you brought forward, does not exemplify a failure of our health system, it is a failure of our education system, where instead of teaching young people some basic skills to start their lives, the schools are brainwashing the young people with socialist-communist garbage, anything and everything, but basic life skills. It shows that in many instances we no longer have responsible parenting: parents should be there teaching their children basic life skills: when you graduate from high school or college start going on interviews, take a low paying job until you can find a better paying job, live with your parents until you can afford to live on your own, have open lines of communication with your parents and turn to them in a time of need.
It is time for us to take care of ourselves, of our families, not acquiesce to Obama-Pelosi Ponzi schemes, which already robbed 5-7 million Americans of their insurances, which they liked, severed their relationship with the doctors that they trusted with their care. The number of cancelled policies is expected to rise to estimated 129 million. Obama’s pathological lying and scheming will ultimately lead to cancellation of most if not all existing policies. Millions of Americans are now seeing their hours cut from 40 to 29, as employees cannot afford Obama-care and refuse to be a part of Obama- scheme. Further, Obama-care will rob families of 3.9% of their house sales as an additional tax. This Ponzi scheme is exempted from anti-kickback provisions and will lead to enormous bribery and corruption. As a matter of fact, 700 million taxpayer dollars paid for a web site, which does not even work properly and run by Michele Obama’s girl friend, is a suspect of enormous kickbacks and bribery.
So, Nancy, as a doctor and a lawyer, I am telling you: stop scaring people, stop being a part of this great big Obama lie. Time for you to join the Republicans and call for the repeal of Obama-care, which is actually an Obama-tax. Further on, you should join Republicans in a call for an impeachment of Obama for multiple counts of egregious fraud on American people, not only fraud in Obama-care promises, but also fraud in usurping the U.S. Presidency while using a stolen CT social Security number 042-68-4425, which was assigned to Harry Bounel, as well as of fabricated IDs. And while you are at it, you should call for an impeachment of the Attorney General Eric Holder, who aided and abetted Obama in this RICO scheme to cover up theft of the franchise of the U.S. Presidency by Obama through Obama’s assertion of identity and legitimacy for presidency with stolen and fabricated IDs.

Etna volcano erupts, lighting up sky over Sicily

ROME — Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano, has erupted again, lighting up the sky over much of eastern Sicily and shooting up a towering column of ash.
The eruption, which began late Saturday and tapered off Sunday morning, didn't endanger any of villages dotting the mountain's slopes, and no evacuation was ordered.
The airport in nearby Catania said two air space sectors above the volcano were closed to flights, but that the airport itself was operating normally, including takeoffs and departures.
Etna erupts occasionally. Its last major eruption occurred in 1992.

All over America, our “friends” are selling out the cause of liberty.

Years ago while walking home from the movie theater among friends, (teenagers, we were) somewhere in the sidewalk chatter the subject prompted me to toss out this comment: “There’s no right way to do a wrong thing.”   One friend responded with, “That’s a very profound statement.”  The other friend added in a demeaning tone, “Yeah, especially from him.”  So you see one friend was giving me kudos while the other, although unknowingly, was killing me…not literally, but figuratively.  Just to clarify, the no-right-way quote did not originate with me.  I recalled reading it on a church’s outdoor message board some six or eight years earlier.
As the years passed those friends and more began killing friends like me and unknowingly, themselves with their un-informed status as voters.  They still support characters with a big D or R after their names without knowing exactly what that means.  For one thing, if support is for the big D then that means they have given up their faith in God…now don’t tell me you’ve already forgotten that the Democrats have removed God from the Party’s platform…better go back and check that Democratic Convention vote of September of 2012.  If you vote against your faith for political reasons, that puts you in the company of hypocrites.  And it goes without saying that if you are a Christian and you vote for a big D or sometimes an R you are destroying the very fabric that made you who you are.  But that’s OK, Democrats love that!  The agenda of the Democratic Party is to destroy all semblances of religion in American politics culture even though we were founded on Judeo-Christian principles.  They want to toss it all out in favor of some lesser cult such as Secular Humanism, or in the current push, for Islam. 
My point in all this is we are killing ourselves with all this political correctness nonsense and getting away from the things that made this country the greatest country in the world including the issues in the following commentary by Chuck Baldwin…he covers a bit more, especially about the 2^nd Amendment, complacent  gutless pastors and neocon Republicans…I just thought I’d throw my two cents in before all my friends kill me. ~ Norman E. Our Friends Are Killing Us by C. Baldwin

There is a prophetic verse of Scripture that records the conquering Messiah as being asked about the wounds that are in his hands. He responds, “Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.” (Zechariah 13:6 KJV) Indeed. It wasn’t the Romans that were fixated with killing Christ; it was the Lord’s own brethren. “He came unto his own, and his own received him not.” (John 1:11 KJV) In like manner, our nation is quickly losing its liberties and Natural rights, not because of our enemies, but because of our so-called friends and brothers. Edmund Burke summarized it beautifully: “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” And, for the most part, that is what good men are doing today: nothing! As regular readers of this column know, I am passionate in my defense of the Natural right of self-defense. I firmly believe that the only thing standing between us and tyranny is the right of the people to keep and bear arms. The freedom of speech, the right to assemble and redress government, the right to be secure in our own homes, the right to a trial by jury, the freedom of worship, etc., all depend on the right of the people to keep and bear arms. When the people of America surrender this right, all of the other rights will quickly disappear. Furthermore, Daniel Webster was absolutely right when he said, "Hold on, my friends, to the Constitution and to the Republic for which it stands. Miracles do not cluster, and what has happened once in 6,000 years, may not happen again. Hold on to the Constitution, for if the American Constitution should fail, there will be anarchy throughout the world." Amen! Not only does the Second Amendment protect the liberties of the people of the United States, the Second Amendment protects the free peoples of the world. Without the armed citizenry of the people of America, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, France, and the rest of the free world would plummet into abject tyranny and oppression. Look at how socialistic and enslaved people in these countries already are. Can one imagine how quickly they would plunge into the Dark Ages without the power and influence of the last bulwark of liberty: a free and armed United States of America? Daniel Webster uttered another profound truth: "There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow. Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter: from the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence. I must confess that I do apprehend some danger. I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct; that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men and become the instruments of their own undoing." Ladies and gentlemen, that is exactly what many of our so-called friends and brothers have become: “instruments of their own undoing.” It is not the liberals, socialists, amoralists, elitists, globalists, etc., who are killing us; it is the pastors, Christians, conservatives, Republicans, etc., who sit back and do nothing that are killing us. Let me say it plainly: neocon Republicans do far more damage to the cause of liberty than do liberal Democrats. Do-nothing pastors and Christians do far more damage to the cause of liberty than do atheists and agnostics. Compromising conservatives do far more damage to the cause of liberty than do liberals. Come on, folks! Think about it: who endangered the cause of independence more: King George III or Benedict Arnold? A known enemy is far less dangerous than an enemy who pretends to be your friend. All over America, our “friends” are selling out the cause of liberty. Every pastor who refuses to publicly repudiate the forces that are attacking our freedom is selling out the cause of liberty. Every Republican who refuses to stand firm against the forces that are attacking our freedom is selling out the cause of liberty. Every conservative who refuses to resist the forces that are attacking our freedom is selling out the cause of liberty. There is nothing new about big-government zealots. They have been with us ever since the Tower of Babel. They were with us in 1775 and 1776. Freedom does not depend upon the absence of would-be tyrants; it depends upon the presence of those who are willing to resist would-be tyrants. And that is what seems to be vanishing. Folks, this is an absolute truism: not all Christians are friends of liberty; not all pastors are friends of liberty; not all conservatives are friends of liberty; not all Republicans are friends of liberty; not all military personnel are friends of liberty; not all policemen are friends of liberty; not all attorneys are friends of liberty; not all physicians are friends of liberty; not all teachers and professors are friends of liberty; and not all gun owners are friends of liberty. Anyone who refuses to resist the forces of evil that attack our Constitution, Declaration, and Bill of Rights is no friend of liberty. For example, I have been a long-time subscriber to a couple of gun magazines: Guns and Ammo and Handguns. Both of these magazines are published by the same parent company. When President Obama and Senator Feinstein attempted to ban semi-automatic rifles and full-size rifle and pistol magazines earlier this year, I kept waiting for the editors and writers of these two magazines to sound the clarion call of resistance. I waited and waited and waited. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Throughout the entire debate, there was not one peep of protest to these egregious gun control laws proposed by Obama and Feinstein in these magazines. This in spite of the fact that practically every page of both magazines is filled with the very arms that would have been banned to the general public had Obama and Feinstein gotten their way. Had the gun-grabbing tyrants been victorious, I suppose Guns and Ammo magazine would simply have re-invented itself in order to fit into the new Amerika in much the same way that so many companies did in Nazi Germany. I guess they would simply have changed the name of the magazine to Military and Police Guns and Ammo. I wrote the publisher of the two magazines mentioned above and explained why, after so many years as a faithful subscriber, I was not renewing my subscription. Of course, I received no reply. And now I know why. Writing for Breitbart.com, AWR Hawkins filed this report: “In the December issue of Guns & Ammo magazine, editor Dick Metcalf uses his ‘Backstop’ column to argue that all constitutional rights need regulation, including the 2nd Amendment. “TheTruthAboutGuns.com has scanned and posted a copy of the column online. In it, Metcalf explains why he chose to address the regulation of constitutional rights: ‘I bring this up because way too many gun owners still believe that any regulation of the right to keep and bear arms is an infringement. The fact is that all Constitutional rights are regulated, always have been, and need to be.’ “Metcalf says he receives ‘bags of mail every year’ from people complaining of the myriad regulations related to concealed carry permits. He says these readers ‘typically argue’ that the 2nd Amendment ‘is all the authority they need’ to keep and bear arms, to carry a gun with them where they go. “In response, Metcalf writes: ‘I [wonder] whether those same people believe that just anybody should be able to buy a vehicle and take it out on public roadways without any kind of driver's training, test, or license.’ “Metcalf misses the point. The 2nd Amendment protects a natural right; that's why it is not to be infringed. Owning and operating a vehicle is not a natural right, so comparing it to gun ownership is like comparing the ability to own and operate an airplane with the rights to freedom of speech and religion. “This is an important point because our Founders' central reason for creating the Bill of Rights was to hedge in a body of natural rights as off-limits to government regulation and interference. “The 2nd Amendment says, ‘A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.’ Metcalf has seized on the words ‘well regulated,’ taking them out of context to the detriment of ‘shall not be infringed.’” See the report at: Guns & Ammo Editor: All Constitutional Rights Need Regulation, Even 2nd Amendment Hooray for Mr. Hawkins! He has a grasp of Natural Law. That is something that Dick Metcalf obviously doesn’t possess. The sad thing is Mr. Metcalf occupies a very trusted and influential position that should be utilized to protect the Second Amendment. Instead, he is using his position to help destroy the Second Amendment. Like I said, not all gun owners are the friends of liberty. But as long as Guns and Ammo magazine is rolling in the dough, don’t expect any change. I, for one, am not going to help pay a gun magazine editor’s salary that is using the money I send him to use the pages of the magazine to facilitate the destruction of the liberties that keep my children and grandchildren free. That means I have kissed my subscription to Guns and Ammo and Handguns magazines goodbye. By the same token, how long are Christians today who say they believe in the Second Amendment (and the rest of the Bill of Rights) going to keep sending their tithes and offerings to these churches where the pastors refuse to publicly resist these draconian gun control bills such as were recently introduced by Obama and Feinstein? How long are they going to keep filling the pews of these do-nothing churches? As long as these say-nothing pastors see their pews and offering plates full, don’t expect anything to change. I will say it plainly: if you attend a church and didn’t hear your pastor oppose the Obama/Feinstein gun control bills from the pulpit earlier this year, YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THAT CHURCH. The only thing holding this republic together is the people’s right to keep and bear arms--especially semi-automatic rifles with large-capacity magazines. By refusing to resist evil, your pastor has become an enemy of liberty. Wittingly or not, he is helping to put the chains of slavery around the necks of your children and grandchildren. Why would you stay and support such a pastor and church?
