How can a town of 3,500 afford Mercedes Benz police cars? This should worry you...really worry you!

I found this story at MBVD and had immediate concerns for this is just one of those things that we've been warning you about. With very little effort I was able to find related stories and a video from the local television station that verifies the existence of the private police force. At first glance it may seem like small potatoes but this is just the beginning and if this is not stopped in it's tracks soon the entire country will be beholding to the Obama Police Force. ~ Norman E. " . . .We have found out that our little town of Hardin is the 'test town' for President Obama’s new law to privatize the police force of local communities. Last night, the city council voted to disband our sheriff’s department and to bring in a private security company to police the town. . .

. . .Yesterday, a convoy of twelve 'blacked out' Mercedes Benz SUV’s were brought into town. They were already painted with Hardin’s colors and ‘Hardin Police Force’ was already painted on them! Hardin’s sheriff’s department will no longer be in operation after the month of October. During October, the Sheriff’s Department is to train this new security force in all the logistics of running the town of Hardin. . .

Obama Frets Over Global Warming, Ignores Terror

Barack Obama was finally talking tough.

The president said this week in New York City, before the General Assembly of the United Nations, that “we understand the gravity” of the threat. “We are determined to act. And we will meet our responsibility to future generations.” He said that a failure to address the threat could lead to an “irreversible catastrophe.” Time, he said, is “running out,” but “we can reverse” the problem. “If things go business-as-usual, we will not live, we will die,” he said. “Our country will not exist.” He told us that it wouldn’t be easy, but “I am here today to say that difficulty is no excuse for complacency. Unease is no excuse for inaction.”

And there was action. As he spoke, bomb-sniffing dogs were out in force in New York City. Ray Kelly, the New York City police commissioner, was giving a press conference on the situation. A cell of Islamic jihadis targeting New York City was planning to attack the transit system, as well as sports stadiums and the sites used for Fashion Week. Self-storage lockers in Queens were being searched for bomb-making materials.

Muslim terrorist Najibullah Zazi was planning to kill on the eighth anniversary of 9/11. He and his fellow jihadis bought chemicals in beauty-supply stores to make bombs like the ones that killed hundreds in London in 2005 and Madrid in 2004. Twenty four others were allegedly involved in the plot. A New York imam — one who worked as an informant for the FBI — tipped off Zazi that police were asking about him. The imam demonstrated where his loyalty lied: Shariah (Islamic law), not American rule of law.

But while the bomb-sniffing dogs and frantic actions by New York police showed what the real threat was, Obama had a very different mortal threat to the nation in mind. He wasn’t talking about the “irreversible catastrophe” that would come to New York City and the entire nation if these Muslim terrorists succeeded in their attack plots. He had nothing to say about the prospect of thousands being murdered by Islamic jihadists at a baseball or football game.

No, in the upside-down world of Obama’s America, he was in New York talking about what he thought was the greatest threat to Americans and to future generations. “We understand the gravity of the climate threat,” Obama said. It was about the climate threat that he said, “we are determined to act” and that we would “meet our responsibility to future generations.” Not jihad. Not about what brought New York to lockdown. Global warming.

Yet the latest scientific evidence cites a lack of credible data on global warming. The data is flawed due to inadequate documentation, the continued use of faulty, outdated instruments, and more. Never before has so much depended on such inaccurate data.

But science does not get in the way of policy when it comes to the great global warming scam. And jihadi activity does not get in the way of Obama’s denial of Islamic empire lust. Just this week alone, a Muslim in New York was indicted for plotting to kill American troops. Another was arrested in Dallas for plotting to blow up an office building. Yet another was charged in a plot to blow up a federal building in Springfield, Ill. Other Muslims have been accused of plotting an attack on the Quantico Marine base. And other Muslims disappeared after arousing suspicion while photographing the Philadelphia subway system.

The irony reached its height when Obama said: “The United Nations can be an institution that is disconnected from what matters in the lives of our citizens.” This from a man who has not said a word about the real threat that had New York on edge last week. And in another disconnect from reality, when the story broke yesterday that the Islamic Republic of Iran had built a second nuke plant near a heavily populated civilian area, Obama declared: “This isn’t a football game, so I’m not interested in victory; I’m interested in resolving the problem.” He is not interested in victory? Then what is left for us but failure?

Is this any way to fight a war?

This is the hard lesson some students at Fenger High School have to deal with after a day of learning. For them it's a hard lesson of reality on the streets.

Thursday after school, two rival gangs got into a fight three blocks from the high school.

In all four students were beaten in that melee -- one was released from the hospital Friday morning.

While police continue their investigation, some students say they don't want to go back to Fenger next week.

Rival gang members have been fighting for a month -- and each time one of their fellow classmates is injured.

No knives and no guns were used in Thursday's fight. Just fists, feet and boards.

Derrion Albert, 16, was struck in the head by one of those boards.

Seconds later the honor student hit the pavement. That’s when witnesses, who are other high school students, say gangbangers began stomping on and punching Albert.

Derrion Albert's mom said witnesses told her he was "trying to help another student and kind of got mixed in with the crowd of the fight and he was hit.”

A senior who witnessed the whole thing says the melee lasted less than five minutes.

The video shows students and workers from a nearby community center rescue the boy -- but many out there knew it was too late.

Surveillance videos are mounted on businesses in the Roseland area, but Chicago Police say those don't show faces.

Police have a copy of this footage and it may help identify Albert's killers.

But while that investigation goes on, students say they will remember Derrion Albert as a good kid. A quiet, smart kid with no gang affiliation. But just a kid who may not have had enough street smarts to go another way.

The original article was published in, of all places, the Tehran Times back in January of '08. Why Tehran? I'm not really sure, but if I were to speculate, I would say that both Hillary and Obama are more attuned to the philosophical leanings of Iran rather than that capitalistic country called the U. S. of A. Remember...Iran was a very large contributor to the Democratic Party...heck, even Joe Biden got much of his campaign money from the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad group but that's another story.
Oh and before I forget, it was Jimmy Carter that was using taxpayer's dollars to send out copies of Alinsky's, Rules For Radicals to Community Organizers. Now you don't suppose Obama recieved one of those copies...do you? ~ by Norman E. Hooben

Most Americans never heard of Saul Alinsky. Yet his shadow darkens our coming election. Democrat frontrunners Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama both worship at the altar of Alinskyism.

In a 1971 book called Rules for Radicals, Alinsky scolded the Sixties Left for scaring off potential converts in Middle America. True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within.
Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties.
In his native Chicago, Alinsky courted power wherever he found it. His alliance with prominent Catholic clerics, such as Bishop Bernard Sheil, gave him respectability. His friendship with crime bosses such as Frank Nitti -- Al Capone’s second-in-command -- gave Alinsky clout on the street.
In our book The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party, my co-author David Horowitz and I trace the rise of Alinsky’s political influence since the 1930s.
He excelled at wooing wealthy funders. Start-up money for his Industrial Areas Foundation -- a training school for radical organizers -- came from department-store mogul Marshall Field III, Sears Roebuck heiress Adele Rosenwald Levy, and Gardiner Howland Shaw, an assistant secretary of state for Franklin Roosevelt.
Alinsky once boasted, “I feel confident that I could persuade a millionaire on a Friday to subsidize a revolution for Saturday out of which he would make a huge profit on Sunday even though he was certain to be executed on Monday.”
One Alinsky benefactor was Wall Street investment banker Eugene Meyer, who served as Chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1930 to 1933. Meyer and his wife Agnes co-owned The Washington Post. They used their newspaper to promote Alinsky.
Agnes Meyer personally wrote a six-part series in 1945, praising Alinsky’s work in Chicago slums. Her series, called “The Orderly Revolution”, made Alinsky famous. President Truman ordered 100 reprints of it.
During the Sixties, Alinsky wielded tremendous power behind the scenes.
When President Johnson launched his War on Poverty in 1964, Alinsky allies infiltrated the program, steering federal money into Alinsky projects.
In 1966, Senator Robert Kennedy allied himself with union leader Cesar Chavez, an Alinsky disciple. Chavez had worked ten years for Alinsky, beginning in 1952. Kennedy soon drifted into Alinsky’s circle.
After race riots shook Rochester, New York, Alinsky descended on the city and began pressuring Eastman-Kodak to hire more blacks. Kennedy supported Alinsky’s shakedown. The two men had an “understanding”, Alinsky later wrote.
Alinsky’s crowning achievement was his recruitment of a young high school student named Hillary Rodham. She met Alinsky through a radical church group. Hillary wrote an analysis of Alinsky’s methods for her senior thesis at Wellesley College. They remained friends until Alinsky’s death in 1972.
Alinsky tried to hire Hillary as a community organizer, but she chose instead to attend Yale Law School. Nonetheless, Alinsky’s network continued guiding Hillary’s career.
Fresh out of law school at age 26, Hillary received a prestigious appointment to the House Judiciary Committee’s Watergate investigative team in 1974. She got the job on the recommendation of Peter and Marian Wright Edelman.
The Edelmans have been trusted mentors of Hillary since 1969. New Republic editor Martin Peretz called Marian “Hillary’s closest sister and ideological soulmate”. Marian Wright Edelman also happens to be an Alinskyite, having served on the Board of Trustees of Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation.
Many leftists view Hillary as a sell-out because she claims to hold moderate views on some issues. However, Hillary is simply following Alinsky’s counsel to do and say whatever it takes to gain power.
Barack Obama is also an Alinskyite. Trained by Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation, Obama spent years teaching workshops on the Alinsky method. In 1985 he began a four-year stint as a community organizer in Chicago, working for an Alinskyite group called the Developing Communities Project. Later, he worked with ACORN and its offshoot Project Vote, both creations of the Alinsky network.
Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style organizing. While trying to build coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama caught flak for not attending church himself. He became an instant churchgoer.
That Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama share an Alinskyite background tells us two things. First, they are leftists, dedicated to overthrowing our Constitutional system. Second, they will go to any length to conceal their radicalism from the public.

That is the Alinsky method. And that is today’s Democratic Party.(rense.com)

Remember the television series I Spy ?

Well I guess everybody can spy now. I received this video in my email and watched in almost disbelief. But in this day and age anything is possible. In any event, I went on line and Googled the words, "I Spy" and to my amazement there are many websites that explain just how this is done (see video below) and to beat it all, some websites say it is completely legal. There's not too much chance of me attempting this 007 stuff so I'll leave the legalities for those willing to skirt the law. Meanwhile, I wouldn't put it pass Eric Holder & Co. to utilize this throughout the land just to keep tabs on all those cowards out there. The subject line of my email message stated, "This is unbelievable!" ... not anymore!

Now don't get any ideas that I support this kind of nonsense, but if I had one of those programs that allows one to snoop at other people's cell phones, there is a certain blackberry in the D.C. area that just may prove interesting. ~ Norman E. Hooben
