It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president
You really can’t make this stuff up: a consulting company founded by Harvard professors has received millions of dollars from Moammar Gadhafi for, in effect, rendering the services of propaganda machine to the deranged dictator.
The Boston Globe reports that the professors tried to help improve the dictator’s image:
It reads like Libyan government propaganda, extolling the importance of Moammar Gadhafi, his theories on democracy, and his “core ideas on individual freedom.’’ But the 22-page proposal for a book on Khadafy was written by Monitor Group, a Cambridge-based consultant firm founded by Harvard professors. The management consulting firm received $250,000 a month from the Libyan government from 2006 to 2008 for a wide range of services, including writing the book proposal, bringing prominent academics to Libya to meet Khadafy “to enhance international appreciation of Libya’’ and trying to generate positive news coverage of the country.“The really nefarious aspect of this is that it reinforced in Khadafy’s mind that he truly was an international intellectual world figure, and that his ideas of democracy were to be taken seriously,’’ said Dirk Vandewalle, associate professor at Dartmouth College and author of “A History of Modern Libya.’’Beyond writing agitprop for Gadhafi, the firm sent a coterie of distinguished academics to visit Ghadafi, including Joseph Nye of the Kennedy School, Lord Anthony Giddens of the London School of Economics, and Francis Fukuyama of Stanford University. The firm also helped Gadhafi’s son with his dissertation for the London School of Economics. Is that what passes for academic honor these days?
But the Monitor Group defended itself citing–what else?–hope, or change, or something: “The firm said that assistance and the book proposal were mistakes. But its statement stressed that the firm’s main effort was designed to help Khadafy’s dictatorship bring about change.”
Well, change is coming to the country–but not exactly of the kind that Gadhafi was hoping for. Maybe Gadhafi should ask for a refund.
Italy makes immigrants speak Italian for work visa By FRANCES D'EMILIO, Associated Press Frances D'emilio, Associated Press
FLORENCE, Italy – Svetlana Cojochru feels insulted. The Moldovan has lived here seven years as a nanny to Italian kids and caregiver to the elderly, but in order to stay she's had to prove her language skills by writing a postcard to an imaginary friend and answering a fictional job ad. "I feel like a guest," said Cojochru. She had just emerged from Beato Angelico middle school where she took a language test to comply with a new law requiring basic Italian proficiency for permanent residency permits following five years of legal residence. Italy is the latest Western European country turning the screws on an expanding immigrant population by demanding language skills in exchange for work permits, or in some cases, citizenship. While enacted last year in the name of integration, these requirements also reflect anxiety that foreigners might dilute fiercely-prized national identity or even, especially in Britain's case, pose terror risks. Some immigrant advocates worry that as harsh economic times make it harder for natives to keep jobs, such measures will become more a vehicle for intolerance than integration. Others say it's only natural that newcomers learn the language of their host nation, seeing it as a condition to ensure they can contribute to society. So far, Italy is only giving a gentle turn to the screw. Cojochru and other test-takers described the exam as easy. No oral skills were tested. In Austria, terms are tougher. There, where native speakers have been sometimes known to scold immigrant parents for not speaking proper German to their children, foreigners from outside the European Union need to prove they speak basic German within five years of receiving their first residency permit. Failure to do so can bring fines and jeopardize their right to stay. The government argues that foreigners who master German can better integrate and help foster understanding across cultures. But, like in Italy, critics say it's a just a pretext for erecting barriers. "The German language is increasingly being used as a marginalization tool," said Alev Korun, a Turkish-born member of the opposition Greens party who immigrated to Austria when she was 19. Austria's Cabinet approved new rules requiring most immigrants to have elementary German skills before they even enter the country. They're part of a plan to create a new "red-white-red card" — the colors of the Austrian flag — for a work permit for qualified non-EU citizens aimed at filling gaps left by an aging work force. The legislation now goes to parliament for consideration. Critics say requiring people to speak basic German before they set foot in Austria would be an unreasonable barrier for people from poor, rural areas who can't afford or access German classes. "I think this is a very clear form of discrimination of certain type of immigrants," said Barbara Liegl, head of the Austrian anti-racism organization ZARA. "I see massive disadvantages for specific groups." Terrorism pushed Britain to start strictly enforcing a requirement for English-language competency for prospective citizens. Three of the 2005 London suicide bombers were native Britons of Pakistani descent while the fourth was born in Jamaica. Since 2005, would-be citizens and permanent residency holders have been asked to prove their command of "Britishness" by answering multiple choice questions, in English, on British history, culture and law, from explaining the meaning behind the fireworks-filled Guy Fawkes Night, to knowing which British courts use a jury system. Britain's government has pledged to dramatically cut immigration, and the language requirement is effectively a tool to put a cap on the number of newcomers, said Sarah Mulley, an immigration expert at the Institute of Public Policy Research, a London think tank. Home Secretary Theresa May, who aims to cut immigration to below 100,000 by 2015, said language tests will help weed out those who don't plan to contribute to British life. She has singled out spouses seeking marriage visas to join English-speaking partners as a particular concern. "There is a concern about long-established communities in the U.K. who are not well integrated, for examples, some of the Pakistani (and) Bangladeshi communities, and that's largely linked to language limitation," Mulley added. But Mohammed Reza, a Pakistani on a student visa who is studying for Britain's citizenship test, saw language as a path to integration. "If I'm wearing traditional clothing on my way to the mosque, everyone on the tube (subway) looks at me funny and gives me wide berth," Reza said. "It's hard to beat the stereotype, but speaking English is probably the most important thing for fitting in. That's why I read as much as I can and try to learn the lingo here." In Italy's case, there has been a much weaker tradition of immigration and no major Islamic terror attacks. Still, a strong spike in newcomers in recent years — along with the very newness of the immigration phenomenon — has fueled a xenophobia surge and boosted the popularity of the anti-immigrant Northern League, Premier Silvio Berlusconi's main coalition partner. In 1990, immigrants numbered some 1.14 million out of Italy's then 56.7 million people, or about 2 percent, according to the state statistics bureau, ISTAT. At the start of this year, foreigners living in Italy amounted to 4.56 million of a total population of 60.6 million, or 7.5 percent, with immigrants' offspring accounting for an ever larger percentage of births in Italy. Amid the trend, Northern League leader Umberto Bossi's influence in government has grown ever stronger, his rhetoric often laced with a racist tinge. Bossi once referred to immigrants as "bingo bongos" and has suggested that migrant smugglers' boats off Italy's shores be fired upon with cannons. Last year, a Northern League lawmaker proposed extending the language requirement to all non-EU citizens who want to open a store or other business in Italy, but the move died in Parliament. Bossi "represents the extreme" in stands on immigration, said Manuele Bacci, 38, one of a fourth generation of butchers running a shop in Florence's cavernous San Lorenzo covered market. The other extreme, he said, is absolutely no restrictions. "We need to take a step toward them and they need to take a step toward us," was Bacci's formula for integration. But many immigrants say they'll be rejected no matter how hard they try to fit in. Cojochru, the Moldovan nanny and caregiver, hoped obtaining permanent residence would help her bring her two teen children to Italy; they live with her sister in Moldova, where wages are among the lowest in Europe. She was skeptical that the language requirement would encourage integration. Italians always "see me as a foreigner," an outsider, despite her years in the country and despite her flawless command of the local language, she said.
In a time of momentous change in the world, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton (left) sets out on her most heartfelt mission: to put women and girls at the forefront of the new world order. – Newsweek Dominant Social Theme: She's just the best. Free-Market Analysis:Tina Brown, the much feted editor of Vanity Fair, the New Yorker, Talk magazine and The Daily Beast has finally issued the first all-new edition of Newsweek. The revamped magazine – which was bleeding millions before Brown was brought in to salvage it – looks a lot like the old Newsweek from what we can tell, and the cover story is no exception. It is beyond adulatory, providing Hillary with a message and focus that we're not sure she ever had in real-life. The article is deeply dishonest on so many levels that it is difficult to know where to begin. The Hillary Doctrine starts off with a shocking cut line (see above). Apparently after decades of denying that anything like "a new world order" existed, the American media establishment (as represented by Tina Brown) has decided to speak more openly. There is a new world order and Hillary is at the forefront of its realization. Having placed Hillary in her rightful position, the article goes on to establish her bone fides: But Clinton was far from a passive observer. She was in energetic discussion on the Egyptian news site Masrawy.com, where her presence excited a stream of questions – more than 6,500 in three days – from young people across Egypt. "We hope," she said, "that as Egypt looks at its own future, it takes advantage of all of the people's talents" – Clinton shorthand for including women. She had an immediate answer when a number of questioners suggested that her persistent references to women's rights constituted American meddling in Egyptian affairs: "If a country doesn't recognize minority rights and human rights, including women's rights, you will not have the kind of stability and prosperity that is possible." The Web chat was only one of dozens of personal exchanges Clinton has committed to during the three months since Tunisia's unrest set off a political explosion whose end is not yet in sight. At every step, she has worked to connect the Middle East's hunger for a new way forward with her categorical imperative: the empowerment of women. Her campaign has begun to resonate in unlikely places. In the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, where women cannot travel without male permission or drive a car, a grandson of the Kingdom's founding monarch (Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz al-Saud) last month denounced the way women are "economically and socially marginalized" in Arab countries. The problems in the Middle East are far greater than women's oppression in our view. More than that, the US has been a prime enabler of the dictators and oppression in the Middle East. The difficulty is the financial environment, the central banking system that creates endless booms and busts and starves entrepreneurs of capital. It seems a little precious in our view to worry about women's rights when the average Egyptian is living on a dollar a day. This doesn't stop Tina though. Hillary's campaign to help oppressed Muslim women grinds on. It is part of a larger effort as enunciated by the US State Department's mission statement: "Advance freedom for the benefit of the American people and the international community by helping to build and sustain a more democratic, secure, and prosperous world composed of well-governed states that respond to the needs of their people, reduce widespread poverty, and act responsibly within the international system." One could ask, reasonably, when did the State Dept's objectives changed from pursuing cordial relationships with the countries of the world to an activist approach that "advances freedom" via the creation of "well-governed states." None of this is theoretical either. There is factual documentation that Western elites have set these color revolutions in motion. The raised-fist logos that appeared during the Eastern Europe color revolutions have reappeared in Tunisia and Egypt; a much-discussed UK Telegraph article that reported on US intel involvement in training Egyptian "youth" on various protest tactics prior to Egypt's recent upheavals. The training apparently went on for at least two years. We've reported on AYM, The Alliance for Youth Movements (AYM), which began with a December 2008 summit in New York City to, as Wikipedia puts it, "to identify, convene, and engage 21st century movements online for the first time in history. The United States Department of State partnered with Facebook, Howcast, MTV, Google, YouTube, AT&T, JetBlue, Gen-Next, Access 360 Media and Columbia Law School to launch a global network and empower young people mobilizing against violence and oppression." Hillary is an imperial factotum of an empire that is fomenting revolution around the world. One can argue that such revolutions are "good" but this begs the question; why did the US sponsor the thugs and dictators that ran the Middle East for so long. And in the long run, the kinds of societies that will come out of these color revolutions will doubtless continue to contain the ruinous financial infrastructure that has done so much damage in the West. The likelihood as a matter of fact is that many of these countries will end up with Islamic republics. Thus Hillary's stated concern about "women" must be seen within the context of what these color revolutions portend. The West needs Islam to pursue its phony war on terror and one watches with a certain dreadful fascination as the West builds yet another faux-enemy for purposes of advancing authoritarianism at home. Conclusion: Finally, we note the article was written by someone named "Lemmon" who is identified as a "fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations." There is something deliberately provocative about all this. Certainly Newsweek has been the mouthpiece of the Imperium for decades. But the article is a tissue of lies, easily debunked with even the smallest amount of research on the ‘Net. Presumably Newsweek will have to turn a profit at some point and generate an audience as well. We fail to see how with articles like these Tina Brown is giving Newsweek any chance at all – not that we really believed she would. But that is the dilemma of the mainstream media in the era of the Internet.

The only thing that Hillary has got near right, and even then she got that entirely wrong, is that Uncle Sam has lost the information war for control of hearts and minds. Her contention that Uncle Sam was losing, rather than admitting it had lost, being a misspeak which is just so her abiding weakness which she appears to imagine is one of her strengths.
Old dog, new tricks ..... springs immediately to mind, and the impossible likelihood of anything so fundamental being in her tired familial repertoire.
A crock, is a crock, is a crock, no matter how hard you try to spin it in IT with media collusion, cloaked in, and as something else.
The problem is not the persecutions of smart and not so stupid women, it is the prosecutions of stupid and not so smart men, who imagine that the world is theirs to play with, as if a toy for their own personal pleasure.

The American ambassador to Kenya is (according to wikileaks) orchestrating and fomenting a "youth movement" to oust the "old leadership" in that countries next general election scheduled for 2012. The comments in response to the ambassador's antics at the bottom of the page are also quite interesting.

Evidence of how biased and truly lame the the MSM really is. I trust the internet implicitly on all fronts, before any MSM at this point in time.

One thing I have noticed is, in all these regions of conflict around the world, there is little evidence of commercialism. You look at their downtown and there are no Coca cola or Fuji signs or BP gas stations, etc. If their culture is too traditional, anti-west, actually anti consumerism, where they cannot be controlled by their pocket book, then they get an oppressive dictator. The young people in Egypt obviously love their computers and cell phones, so maybe they are ready. It will be interesting to see what develops. Hillary is giving out the call, c'mon girls, you can play too.

Well, we in Australia were obviously dragging our feet in bowing to the NWO's God of Global Warming... Herr Hillary came down to see her Sister-in-Charge Gilliard and bang! ...we have carbon taxes suddenly announced, even though Gilliard promised no such thing would happen in her election campaign! The reality show on the internet and the mirage shown in the mainstream media are diverging more and more.

@DB: "But Clinton was far from a passive observer. She was in energetic discussion on the Egyptian news site Masrawy.com, where her presence excited a stream of questions..."
You're too trusting (read: possibly gullible). What makes you think it was REALLY Clinton and not some proxy mouthpeace, or, even a team of them, creating the ILLUSION of a wise seeress, adapting and telling the marks EXACTLY what they want to hear? Just as centralized A/V media can create a larger than life (FALSE) image, so can the internet.
And, despite laws on the books, against propagandizing (lying) domestically, well, Newsweek appears to be admitting that it is such an instrument, on the "NWO" Mission. Just last week, Clinton was begging Congress for more propaganda funding and, viola, Pavlov's media salivates by glorifying her. It is forgotten that the Clintons were at the heart of the S L collapse (fraud), just a dry run for larger crimes, as we see today.
Either elites know something we don't and are confident, or, they are stupid because US majority sentiment is tending towards "non-intervention" and dealing with their own domestic woes (and the criminals who caused them).

Ah! Yes! The Alliance for Youth Movement...
"The organization was formed during a December 2008 summit, the Alliance of Youth Movements, that brought together experts in social media with pioneering grassroots movement leaders for the first time in history. Founders of Movements.org include Jared Cohen, Director of Google Ideas at Google, Jason Liebman, CEO and co-founder of Howcast, and Roman Tsunder, co-founder of Access 360 Media."
And we all know that the three founders of this organization " all of whom are Jewish " will be totally objective, right?
Is the state the 'village' to raise their children?
Perhaps the recent 'attack on women' in the media is meant to rile them to the cause of state control over the 'enemies of women'?

The longest running dominant social theme of the power elite is matriarchy. Cultural devolution and social dissolution are evidences of an authoritarian regulatory democracy. When weapons of mass destruction were not found, the theme for sustaining the campaign turned to equality for girls, gays and gals. How many stories on oppressed women and gays in Islamic nations have their been? How many stories on economic crisis caused by debt-currency manipulation? Google it.

Since the Game remains the same no matter which branch of the Republicrat Party is in control and since the Department of War (which ironically changed its name to the Department of defense after WWII) is always a constant through successive elected administrations, nothing really ever changes. Military hegemony prevails. Once this has bankrupted the USA and perhaps the world we may reasonably expect military oligarchy to reign supreme aka the Roman Empire. The Swiss Navy cannot save us. LOL

The only reason she has the position she has is because of the radicals we have in the White House, the DOJ,the Pentagon, and other Gov Dep`s.
American better wake up soon....Real Soon!!

Dear Hillary, As Foreign Minister, I know you are aware that 7 Middle East Arab Muslim countries are in an uprising against governments sponsored and backed by the USA. I am also sure you are aware that these uprisings may call into question the entire oil distribution and payment scheme the west has spent decades protecting and benefiting from. Since the ground in this region has now shifted decisively, do you not think it wise to direct your intellect and efforts to address this reality and its implications?
With regards, Mr. Curious.

Hillary has also been mentioned as a "role model" (i.e., a modern, successful, powerful, progressive woman) in dialogue by one of the lead female characters on the CW Network's television series "Gossip Girl" (whose target audience is 18-34 year old females).
Thus, the (corporate indoctrination) beat goes on.

Is it possible for you to provide an example of a recent "attack on women' media meme?
"The secretary of state is on a mission: putting women's rights at the forefront of a rapidly emerging new world order."
If Lemmon says so. Lemmon sure scribbles sickening sweet Clinton cliche cream puff pieces. And not necessarily in a bad way. Just too much information. Too rich. Even the pink pantsuit gets mentioned. A Clintonesque cliche salad.
Such a sweet salad makes me want to laugh until I puke. Lemmon seems to use "New World Order" as a fashion accessory. A cosmetic gravitas broach. It's hard for me to take Browns's piece de resistance seriously. Heck, it's hard for me to take even more that a few mouthfuls at a single sitting. LOL.

.........Quoting Hillary........"The forefront of the new world order." Troublesome. Will we soon be seeing a Girl's Youth Corp., and a Women's Corp.,.......all wearing brown shirts as they march for social justice, or whatever the "Justice" flavor of the day becomes. This woman is dangerous in her naivete. Of course, Tina Boorown – thanks to her husband's money, now has a magazine in which to publish her left leaning propaganda. Newsweek will continue on its swirling ride down the toilet as long as it continues to be a mouthpiece for the left. Readership figures, anyone? And while you're at it, do the same for Time magazine.

Does the start of a modern center of finance ( Islamic? ) in Tunisia have anything to do with the fact that Tunisia was the first to explode?
Why do you see no threat to our well being from the not-a-religion called Islam? Its dogma states its purpose is to control the entire world by hook or crook ( war or breeding ).
Posted by Jeannie Queenie on 3/7/2011 1:42:09 PM
Surely this woman deserves no credibility when she is advocating for the UN to have final authority over US parent's offspring, thus cutting the parent's power from them...or when she advocates for all women to climb the corporate ladder, and on her way up, grab a shard from that glass ceiling and gouge the eyes of the man beneath you...or when she actually believes that single motherhood helps the family unit. Or being LGBT is just another life choice that aids in keeping a society strong and sane.
Oops, I forget, when you advocate for LGBT, you really don't give two figs for the family unit, which is the foundational basis for any society to thrive. Wait, isn't that what the PE wants? The dissolution of the family so that each and every person can be controlled by the state? And the entire notion of the individual is eliminated in favor of the collective or the larger group? This one big happy global family!!
You know much about this woman when her very own daughter marries a man whose father's reputation as a one man crime spree, spent five years in prison...Chelsea hasn't even been married a year and already rumors of her marriage on the rocks due to severe pressures of work/home/marriage. And yet, Mommie dearest would have daughter dearest believe that women can have it all...what a major crock if ever. And there aren't even any children on the scene yet...oh dear, that would really spoil the soup!
@ERIC--You're spot on in your analysis...Yes, women are more susceptible to state control..and yes, they view the state as one big daddy figure..
What they don't know is that daddy loves all those extra tax dollars and they love the fact that she doesn't love her kids enough to be home with them and desires the state to babysit them as well. Which makes it all the easier for the state to brainwash the kids via public education.
The feminazi's could care less that schools are teaching the kids crap galore. When mom is more concerned about that second car, new furniture, or whatever the faux ad world presents for her wish list, the kids take backseat, and oh hell, the kids can be bought off as we have seen a few generations of US women doing to absolve their guilt over mom's absence.
Yes, Eric, the state is the 'village' to raise her children. We also know it takes a village idiot of a woman to promote this insanity. Or a woman whose husband needs a village to satisfy him. Hillary was clueless that her old man's indiscretions reflected on failing, frumpy feminism.
Can't tell me that Hillary isn't part of the PE that wants to get all women out there working three jobs...first as a wage slave working for corporatism where the company is all that counts..when she is done with that job she can go home and do two more jobs...deal with children and all the many hours of cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. All the meanwhile her kids are brainwashed at public schools, and her weenie husband goes along with it all for he lost his manhood when feminism set out to de-ball all white men...and now she bitches that he isn't pitching in with her other two jobs...and we wonder why few marriages survive anymore. It's all so funny, if it weren't dead serious in it's sad, sordid way.
Reply from the Daily Bell:
Very good.

If Clinton hadn't made his consort the healthcare czarina back in '93, if he'd handed GHW Bush's campaign healthcare plant (Old Bush) to, say, Donna Shalala, he'd have accomplished more (if thats how you look at it, and I do) than Obama did with all the sturm und drang last year.
She was senator from a state where public opinion was strongly against the Iraq War but she voted for it (as did the other NY senator, Schumer, because Israeli government wishes and Israeli lobby money trumps everything).
Well, she's just dreadful.

@Sovereignjim---right on..'by hook or crook, war or breeding'. Some among them have said they don't need guns or missiles, their women's bodies are their weapon of choice. By breeding faster than the Western world, it's a no brainer that numbers don't lie. Europeans decided eons ago to limit their numbers...and the US has been doing this since at least the sixties when 'free love' was more important than 'free lives filled with liberty.
That hotbed of insanity the sixties birthed, is now manifesting in all its sick glory...it just seems to grow from bad to worse. Bad enough the hippies were doing it in the poppyfields, now the latest 60's resurgence finds a professor in a human sexuality class at NorthWestern University having a live sex act in the classroom using a tool on idiot research subject to bring her to the Big O. Obviously this professor is a total whackjob who should have a tool like a dairy milking machine hooked up to him in the same area....one that doesn't stop until it gets 20 quarts from him. The insanity never ends! US colleges get sicker and sicker.

DB: may have been lost or rejected, again
"Are women more susceptible to state control?"
No, women are socialized to have to "appear" to be kind and caring which means they must fit into the perceptual social box constructed for them, to be socially "acceptable". To appear otherwise is to be an alleged "bitch". The current "kind and caring" social box is equated to socialism.
OK, here's where I will really get flamed. IMHO, a lot of female "nature" is an evolutionary adaptation because, relative to males they are physically less powerful and since goals (including survival) can only be achieved by the usage of force, fraud or peaceful, honest trade, females are less prone to violence, leaving fraud or honest trade as their statistical options. Hence, the "feminine mystique" to keep males guessing about what females are really after and, how they intend to achieve it. It also explains their apparent "need" to find a strong man, to ally with, for those matters which do require "forceful" addressing.
Evolution and adaptation to environment determines EVERYTHING:
...which is why we ALL should be thinking about the "or else" option of the basic "obey or else" choice we are faced with.
Having said that, I KNOW that there are some fine females out there. I happen to be married to one.

Nobody can fight back until they heed their objective reality side. Then, fear is not an option, because "going along to get along" inevitably leads to a far darker place:
REALITY is NOT a mere OPINION, equally valid to all others. REALITY bites the unwary. And, attempt to force your "opinion" on others and well, they may differ, at a minimum.

Wow, great piece, Daily Bell. I was going to comment earlier, but decided I had better keep my thoughts to myself. No matter, Jeannie Queenie said it all and so much better than I would.
@Jeannie Queenie, I am standing up cheering right now! You go, girl!

@OL Gray Ghost...you say, "Men can't fight back when they're trying to get in touch with their feminine side"...first off, thanks for the clink clink...but really now, are you telling me that men don't have rights anymore and you're just going to forget about them? Please, all you guys 'man up' out there...quit allowing these feminazis to quit pushing you around. It is about time that women grow up and become women, and that does not necessarily equate to climbing a corporate ladder or even working outside the home at a full time paying job.
At their core most women want one thing and that is to be cherished and protected..to know that she is first and foremost in a guy's mind. Now if she is the lazy kind who never improves herself, lets herself go, does not develop god given talents, never picks up a book, nor gives a hand to others in need, then I'd say you have a big job on your hands.
If she is no good in the kitchen, fire her...for there's a good chance she won't be any better in the bedroom. Of course, if you are one of those guys who has let himself go, don't expect Sharon Stone at your stove fixing up some hot enchiladas to widen that six pack belly.
I am all for a real marriage of equals..but that doesn't necessarily mean that I have to compete with my man in the wages workforce. It also doesn't mean that he gets to play Patriach with a capitol P, meaning he will not tolerate any other opinions other than his own. In the end, the father must be the head of the household, but it doesn't mean he has to be a total ass and pretend he is Hitler reincarnated.
So too, women should take more seriously their roles as women, and stop trying to be MEN...I as a female, never felt like the feminists do, that in order to be a real woman, first you must become a man..how ridiculous is that? And so too, no man should first feel he must be so sensitive that he loses touch with his masculinity. I really don't know which is worse, women who must emulate men, or men who feel they must become more sensitive than three year old girls. Both are basically a joke. For my part, I love 'viva la difference". That difference is there for a very good reason, and those who don't heed those differences do so at their very own peril.
In case, you wonder why I use the handle "Queenie", 1)It rhymes with my name, but moreso, it's because I do feel that every woman should treat her man like a King, and by god, if she is doing that with real love and without manipulation, she deserves to be treated like the Queen she is...so guys if you have a real Queen on your hands, don't take her for granted, for they get rarer with each passing day. And gals, if you have a King, take good care of him morning, noon and especially, night!
Want to destroy the state?...grow that love which no one can take from you..that bond withstands all those who would destroy the greatest thing ever, this thing called love. Without family, there is nothing. To see the difference between genders, and as this is an adult audience of feedbackers, this is funny as heck. Note the baby girl is very verbal, and the baby boy...well, he's an early learner--chip off the old block? Click to View Link
To Save America, We Must Dethrone King Obama By Lloyd Marcus
Incredibly, Obama continues to boldly go where no other president has gone before. Apparently, none of the rules apply to him. Without consequence, at will, Obama ignores laws and the Constitution to implement his progressive/socialist agenda.
America's first black president has morphed into America's first king. All hail King Obama, our supreme ruler. Think about this folks, King Obama has put together his royal court of an unprecedented 32 czars who only answer to him. His czars consist of people who have socialist and communist leanings, many simply do not like America. King Obama's czars, without congressional over sight, set new rules and regulations for our lives; boldly ignoring laws and the U.S. Constitution.
Given Obama's unprecedented government overreaches, when we vote him out in 2012, will His Royal Obamaness surrender the Oval Office? Just kidding. Such a concern is a bit over the top. Right? Right?
Meanwhile, displaying an amazing total disregard for the sanctity of freedom, guess who cheers on Obama's every unprecedented lawless "power grab" and dis of the Constitution; the despicable liberal media.
Most of the mainstream media are liberals promoting their progressive/socialist agenda while calling it journalism. A liberal black presidential candidate was their dream come true. Obama's skin color was a gift from the liberal gods; the ultimate political trump card.
The Left exploits Obama's black skin color as their "Weapon of Mass Intimidation"; a coat of armor insulating him from all opposition and reasonable critique.
Any supplicant daring to question or oppose His Royal Obamaness is forced to endure the liberal media's "shock and awe" battery of accusations of racism and violent intentions.
Is it unfair to say Obama governs more like our king rather than our president? You be the judge.
Obamacare was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge. King Obama basically said "screw that! I'm implementing it anyway".
DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) is the law. King Obama said in effect, "I don't like that law and we are not defending its copnstitutionality."
A federal ruling said King Obama's deep offshore drilling moratorium in Louisiana is illegal and ordered it lifted. Again, King Obama simply ignored the federal ruling.
Federal immigration law is much tougher than Arizona's new Law. The Arizona law says if someone is stopped for a traffic violation or suspected of a crime, they must show proper ID. Well duh! All Americans are required to show ID in such situations. King Obama wants members of a special ethnic group to be protected from such inquiry. Thus, King Obama has declared the Arizona law racist and is suing Arizona for enforcing "federal law". King Obama views illegals as potential future new Democrat voting supplicants.
King Obama wants to force health workers to perform abortions whether they like it or not. The "Conscience Rule" protects health workers who refuse to participate in abortions or other medical procedures that go against their moral and religious beliefs. King Obama is working on rescinding that law.
If we have learned nothing else from the passing of Obamacare against the will of 70% of the American people we learned, legal processes be damned, whatever King Obama wants, King Obama gets.
And, let us not forget that King Obama fired the CEO and took over a private sector auto company. Thus, the birth of King Obama Motors.
And what about King Obama's seige of the banking industry. After accepting TARP money, a bank chairman read the tea leaves of things to come; government running his business and dictating salaries. He requested to pay back the TARP money with interest. King Obama denied the bank chairman's request and threatened "adverse" consequences if he persisted.
The new Black Panther Party is guilty of voter intimidation in Philadelphia. King Obama refuses to press charges against the new Black Panthers; now get this folks, because they are black. His royal enforcer, Attorney General, Eric Holder, who is black, told the House Appropriations subcommittee that the New Black Panther voter intimidation case demeans "my people."
Holder went on to explain that the suffering of African Americans seeking the right to vote in the South in the 60s far surpass the intimidation white voters recently endured in Philadelphia. So much for any pretense of King Obama dispensing equal justice to all Americans. We're talkin' Affirmative Action justice.
King Obama is systematically taking control of every aspect of our lives. Cramming Obamacare down our throats was a huge step toward achieving his goal. Please read, "20 Ways ObamaCare Will Take Away Our Freedoms".
Exempting themselves, liberals are notorious for making rules for us supplicants. Queen Michelle Obama recently feasted on high calorie greasy bar-b-que spareribs while seeking to federally mandate/regulate menus and portion sizes in schools, restaurants and etc.
Bottom line, King Obama is out of control. In 2012, We The People MUST raise up with pitchforks of votes to end King Obama's tyrannous reign. American as we know and love it could be lost. Defeat is not an option.
As Vice Chair of The Campaign to Defeat Obama in 2012, I sincerely covet your support.
We are gathering "One Million People To Defeat Barack Obama 2012". Please join us!
Constant reader (and friend) B.W. sends me a few dozen emails a month, most with photos of a naked woman with a request asking me if I see the waterfall or the beach behind the woman. The expected response of course is, "What beach, what waterfall?"
Among the emails are many urban legends because B.W. expects me to check out their validity. The story he sent me is both true and false. Before I explain, here's the email:
General VoNguyen Giap.
General Giap was a brilliant, highly respected leader of the North Vietnam military. The following quote is from his memoirs currently found in the Vietnam war memorial in Hanoi:
"What we still don't understand is why you Americans
stopped the bombing of Hanoi. You had us on the
ropes. If you had pressed us a little harder,
just for another day or two, we were ready
to surrender! It was the same at the
battle of TET. You defeated us!
We knew it, and we thought
you knew it.
"But we were elated to notice your media was
helping us. They were causing more disruption in
America than we could in the battlefields. We
were ready to surrender. You had won!"
General Giap has published his memoirs and confirmed
what most Americans knew. The Vietnam war was not
lost in Vietnam — it was lost at home. The
same slippery slope, sponsored by the U.S. media,
is currently underway. It exposes the
enormous power of a Biased Media to
cut out the heart and will of
the American public.
A truism worthy of note: . . . Do not fear the enemy,
for they can take only your life.
Fear the media,
for they will destroy your honor.
*** End of Email ***
Now most of my readers, including B.W., know that Snopes will usually have the answer regarding Internet hoaxes, and they do have an answer to this one, it's false. That is to say, the General never said or wrote the words in the email.
But reader B.W. doesn't just want a true or false, he expects me to put my own spin on the matter. And the truth here is that although the General never made the statements attributed to him, the sentiments expressed are indeed true. For example, George Washington never said, "Energy equals mass times velocity squared," nevertheless, the statement is still absolutely true.
So now I ask my readers to consider this Wall Street Journal interview (published in 1995) with Bui Tin, a former colonel who served on the general staff of the North Vietnamese army:
Q: How did Hanoi intend to defeat the Americans?
A: By fighting a long war which would break their will to help South Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh said, "We don't need to win military victories, we only need to hit them until they give up and get out."
Q: Was the American antiwar movement important to Hanoi's victory?
A: It was essential to our strategy. Support for the war from our rear was completely secure while the American rear was vulnerable. Every day our leadership would listen to world news over the radio at 9 a.m. to follow the growth of the American antiwar movement. Visits to Hanoi by people like Jane Fonda and former Attorney General Ramsey Clark and ministers gave us confidence that we should hold on in the face of battlefield reverses. We were elated when Jane Fonda, wearing a red Vietnamese dress, said at a press conference that she was ashamed of American actions in the war and that she would struggle along with us.
Q: Did the Politburo pay attention to these visits?
A: Keenly
Q: Why?
A: Those people represented the conscience of America. The conscience of America was part of its war-making capability, and we were turning that power in our favor. America lost because of its democracy; through dissent and protest it lost the ability to mobilize a will to win.
Q: What else?
A: We had the impression that American commanders had their hands tied by political factors. Your generals could never deploy a maximum force for greatest military effect.
Is that in any way different than the sentiments expressed by General Giap? Don't bother answering.
The same thing happened with our war in Iraq. If Liberal cowards and appeasers in Congress had only kept their weaselly traps shut, our military would have been able to end the troubles in that country years sooner and with fewer lives lost. Our enemies see that we are weak and Democrats are to blame for the resurgence of the Taliban in Afghanistan.
How long will we in this country put up with these traitors who aid and abet our enemies?
Although I'm not a big fan of the Chatham House I do occasionally come across informative material that after my once over appears to be objective and without any suggested meddling in the internal affairs of another country (i.e. such as you find in their paper on Franco-British Defence and Security Treaties but that's another story). Jane Kinnnmont, irregardless of her connection to the Chatham House, presents an unbiased assessment of the Arab countries currently in the news...she also provides information that the main stream media overlooks. A notable observation is that other than the one time use of the word Shia there is no mention of Islam as it pertains middle eastern politics. ~ Norman E. Hooben
Unrest in the GulfSource Chatham House(ChathamHouse.org UK) Wednesday 2 Mar 2011
by Jane Kinninmont , Senior Research Fellow, Middle East and North Africa Programme
Every country in the Middle East is being affected in some way by the wave of Arab unrest. The oil-rich Gulf monarchies are no exception.
This week, two protestors were shot by the police in Oman, normally a sleepy and conservative country. Bahrain, which has more of a history of protest, experienced a dramatic escalation in violence earlier this month, when seven protestors killed by the security forces. Serious questions are now being asked about the potential for unrest in Saudi Arabia, the Arab world's biggest economy and the world's largest oil exporter, where the grievances are many but the outlets for political expression are few.
The six oil-exporting Gulf monarchies - with a combined GDP of nearly US$ 1trn - have been close allies of the UK for over a century. The UK was instrumental in consolidating the power of the Gulf royal families during the era of the British empire. British political influence is still significant today, but the GCC countries' modern-day wealth means they have more power in the partnership than they did in the past. They are important providers of energy and portfolio investment, as well as destinations for British exports and direct investment, all of which was highlighted on the British prime-minister David Cameron's recent tour of the Middle East.
Mr Cameron has faced some domestic criticism for saying that there was no contradiction between supporting Arab democracy and selling arms to "democratic" governments like Kuwait's (which has the strongest parliament in the Gulf but can hardly be described as a full democracy). Oman was the final stop on his Middle East tour, two days before the protestors were shot. Meanwhile, Bahrain has repeatedly been singled out for Western praise for carrying out limited political reforms, even though the reform process had been stagnating for years. This month, however, the UK revoked more than 40 licences for British companies to export arms there.
Handout time
So far, the Gulf governments have responded to the regional unrest with a mixture of heavyhanded policing and economic handouts, but have avoided structural political reforms. Violent crackdowns in Bahrain and Oman simply brought more protestors onto the streets. Meanwhile, Kuwait and Bahrain have promised financial gifts, Saudi Arabia offered a US$ 37bn package of new public spending, and Oman said it would spend more on the unemployed.
The other trend has been to tweak a few cabinet posts. Kuwait made the biggest concession, dismissing its interior minister after allegations that a citizen had died under torture. In Oman, the sultan changed six faces in the cabinet, but he continues to hold three ministries and the premiership himself. Bahrain's king has reshuffled four ministers, but only in the area of public services. By contrast, opposition groups want to see the ministers of defence and interior go, along with the prime minister - the king's uncle - who has been in office since 1971.
These moves imply that the Gulf governments view the protests as fundamentally driven by economic grievances. Although the Gulf is famous for its abundant energy resources and massive sovereign wealth funds, there are problems of wealth distribution. In Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Oman in particular, there is significant dissatisfaction over unemployment, the high cost of living, and the quality of public services, which are under pressure from rapid population growth. These issues will not be solved by one-off handouts.
Moreover, there is widespread discontent over corruption, nepotism and the lack of meritocracy. There are calls for greater political rights, equality before the law, moves to tackle torture, and, especially in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, an end to perceived sectarian discrimination.
Political challenges
Bahrain has the strongest opposition movement, but it is now divided over whether to keep its decades-long focus on reform under a constitutional monarchy, or to seek the outright overthrow of the ruling family, which would be opposed by much of the country's Sunni minority as well as other Gulf states. The government has called for dialogue and may consider some deeper reforms than the limited steps taken to date.
Opposition groups in Oman are far less well-developed, but the events in Tunisia and Egypt indicate the potential for new movements to emerge quickly. So far, protestors are calling for reform under the existing system - but there are long-term worries about the lack of a clear successor to the sultan.
In Saudi Arabia, the opposition is repressed and fragmented. The country has not experienced the large-scale protests seen elsewhere in the Arab world. Yet there have been three small demonstrations in different regions, and the authorities have reportedly prevented at least three others. Meanwhile, seven men have been jailed for setting up a political party, and the government is showing no sign of organising the municipal elections supposed to be held this year. More than 100 intellectuals have called for a constitutional monarchy and a Shia cleric has been detained for making the same appeal.
Clearly the Saudi opposition remains weak, but the government's refusal to accommodate demands for political reform may also be a source of weakness in the longer term, as it shows little flexibility to adapt to the changing currents in the region. This is not helped by the fact that the king and crown prince are both in their eighties and have had to spend long periods in hospitals abroad in recent months.
The UAE and Qatar appear the least at risk. Their economies have developed dramatically over the past decade, despite the recent downturn in Dubai, and they have hefty energy export revenues to distribute among their small numbers of citizens, who in any case make up only a tiny minority of their populations.
Yet the uprising in Tunisia and the protests in Oman illustrate the potential for surprises. Western countries should bear in mind that Tunisia is one of the most economically developed countries in Africa, with a sizeable middle class. The increasingly well-educated Gulf population will not necessarily be silenced by economic handouts alone.
The most trusted name in news. First it was Walter Cronkite, the so-called most trusted man in America only to find out he hated America (C'mon now! you should all know that by now! Check the video out here. He clearly stated that we should give up our sovereignty [and Hillary agrees!].) Now we have the most anti-American Secretary of State announcing that Al-Jazerra is the most trusted name in news or at least Al-Jazerra is real news, not like we have here. Well its all coming together now isn't it...Hillary Clinton and Walter Cronkite the most trusted pair of hypocrites this side of Global Governance. ~ Norman E. Hooben
Is Al-Jazerra now the most trusted name in news? Well, that’s what Hillary Clinton and other leftist leaders are saying. The network has been gaining popularity ever since the events in Egypt, but people seem to be ignoring it’s very anti-American stance. Glenn reacted on radio this morning.
Glenn played audio of Hillary Clinton saying, “ In fact, viewership of Al-Jazeera is going up in the United States because it’s real news. You may not agree with it, but you feel like you’re getting real news around the clock instead of a million commercials and arguments between talking heads and the kind of stuff this we do on our news which, you know, is not particularly informative.”
Pat joked, “Imagine having both sides presenter and the viewer would have to make the decision.”
“We knew it was the propaganda arm of the Middle East and Islamic extremism. We knew it. Now suddenly we’re all saying, oh, yeah, Al-Jazeera, there’s real news for you,” Glenn said.
“Why does she say you may not like it? Because they hate America and everything they do has that spin and they begin from that standpoint with every single story. America is the great satan. I was going to say, let’s not forget. They have talking heads, too. The talking heads are through their contacts, videos of Osama bin Laden and the greatest terrorists on earth because they’re playing them all the time,” Stu said.
“Who is their talking head on election night here in America? Do you know?” Glenn asked.
Glenn explained, “It was Robert McChesney who was saying we should have a PBS, robust, national PBS. We should pour more money into that. Let’s get rid of all the commercials and everything else. That’s who he goes over to help them with their coverage. That’s who they go for. He helps them and now everybody in the press, and our own press is saying, we should watch Al-Jazeera. No, we shouldn’t. If we’re not covering it right start covering it right.”
Pat dissected Hillary’s statement. He said, “You have the commercial aspect which the evil corporations are making money on their newscasts. That’s wrong. We know making money is awful. When these corporations are making money on news, that’s even worse. You’ve got debate. You don’t have the talking heads battling back and forth. We don’t want debate, and you have legitimizing a Middle Eastern news source that is completely skewed and not real news. Not real news.”
“She is not legitimizing them. She is promoting them. The numbers are going up. Why? Because it’s real news. You have the Secretary of State of the United States of America saying you cannot get real news here in America. You can only get it from Al-Jazeera and everybody knows it. This is insanity,” Glenn said.
Waking People Up And Getting Them To Realize That The American Dream Is Quickly Becoming The American Nightmare
Yes, You Can Survive The Coming Economic Nightmare – One Family In California Grows 6,000 Pounds Of Produce On Just 1/10th Of An Acre
If you work hard and get prepared, you can survive the economic nightmare that is coming. All over the United States and around the world there are millions of people that are learning how to become more self-sufficient. For example, there is one family that is actually producing 6000 pounds of produce on just 1/10th of an acre right in the middle of Pasadena, California. In fact, they grow so much food that they are able to sell much of it to restaurants in the area. Video of this incredible "urban homestead" is posted below. The key is to start with what you have. The family in the video below would like to have a large acreage, but for now they have turned what they do have into an absolute miracle. Yes, a horrific economic nightmare is coming to this country, but you don't have to be afraid. One of the main reasons why so many of us are trying to warn people about what is coming is so that they will wake up and take massive action to become self-sufficient like the people in the video below have.
If you are not already growing your own food, now is a great time to get started. According to The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the global price of food rose 2.2% during the month of February to a new all-time record high. In fact, this was the third month in a row that the global price of food has set a new record. 2.2% may not sound like a lot, but if the global price of food were to increase by that amount every single month during 2011 by the end of the year the global price of food will have gone up by 26.4%. 26.4% food inflation is something that is very, very serious - especially in those areas of the world where millions are already teetering on the brink of starvation. As I have written about previously, the world is on the verge of a major food crisis. The price of corn has increased by 33 percent just since December, and according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. corn reserves will drop to a 15 year low by the end of 2011. Many other agricultural commodities are also in short supply and are experiencing significant increases in price. So now is a great time to try to become more self-sufficient. After all, do you really want to eat the garbage they sell you in the stores anyway? Today, virtually all corn and virtually all soy has been genetically-modified, and more "frankenfoods" are being approved by the government all the time. But it isn't just genetic modification that we need to be concerned about. The reality of the situation is that most of the food that we buy is complete and total garbage. The next time you go to the grocery store just take a few moments and read some of the labels of the products that you are buying. The truth is that our foods are absolutely loaded with chemicals, poisons and toxins. Those that learn to grow their own food will end up a lot more healthy in the long run. But food is not the only area where we should be striving for self-sufficiency. Water is being called "the oil of the 21st century" and already some very significant shortages are being reported in many areas of the United States. In fact, some cities have already started to turn toilet water into tap water. Fortunately this is not a widespread thing in the United States yet, but a number of localities are now seriously considering going to such a system. Would you want to drink your own recycled toilet water in the future? If not, perhaps now would be a great time to learn how to become more self-sufficient when it comes to water. Even now, most localities are dumping massive amounts of fluoride and other toxic chemicals into our drinking water. The tap water in most cities is so absolutely disgusting that it is a wonder that anyone is still willing to drink it. In any event, the key is not to focus on the problems once you realize the truth. Instead, the key is to focus on the solutions. That is what one family in Pasadena, California is doing. As mentioned above, they are producing a whopping 6,000 pounds of produce each year on just 1/10th of an acre....
Isn't what that family is doing absolutely amazing?
Well, you can do it too.
For most Americans, the coming financial apocalypse is going to absolutely blindside them.
But that does not have to happen to you. You know what is coming. You have time to get prepared.
As I have written about previously, there are many other ways that you can start becoming more self-sufficient.
If you are currently dependent on a job, you can start developing alternate sources of income on the side.
If you are enslaved to the banks, you can reduce your expenses and start paying down debt.
If you have never had any self-defense training, now is a great time to get started.
There are hundreds of practical ways that you can begin preparing for the coming economic nightmare right now. Just putting up some solar panels or starting a "victory garden" would be a great first step for many people.
The key is to stop fretting about things so much and to start taking action.
We have now entered a time in human history that is going to be extremely unstable, but that doesn't mean that we have to live in fear.
If you are new to all this and have no idea how to start becoming more self-sufficient, there are a lot of great websites out there that can help you out. Some of the most popular ones are Prepper.Org, American Preppers Network and The Suburban Prepper.
But it doesn't have to be complicated. Just start to take action. Your family is going to need food, water, energy and shelter when the economy collapses. Begin preparing now so that you will have those things when you need them.

Quote Of The Day
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” ~ Author Unknown “If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you’re not a racist, you’ll have to vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot.” ~ From: Voting American

The real goal of "health care" legislation, the real goal of "cap-and-trade," and the real goal of the "stimulus" is to rip the guts out of our private economy and transfer wide swaths of it over to the government to control. For those who promote a race they are called, "racists". For those that promote American they are called "American". For 'American' is a 'concept' and no racial tones are tolerated either in shades or sounds. -Norman E. The Police State of Massachusetts is now imposing laws against nature. Massachusetts is by far the most un-Constitutional government of the State, by the State, and for the State than any among the the fifty that hold a star on the banner of freedom. It is run by Socialists and hypocritical so-called Christians…the worst among them are the Catholics who go to Church on Sunday and forget what they Prayed for on Monday. - Norman E. Hooben - "A proud Catholic proud of my Faith. A proud Catholic NOT so proud of my Church!" - July 16th 2008

From the first time I heard about the boogey-man as a child to the first time I got shot at in Vietnam, nothing in my entire lifetime, THAT'S NOTHING! has put more fear into me than this man Obama. - Norman E. Hooben - July 2008
We are here for only a mini-second in the sands of time. Then we become the dust that makes the sand; and the Hand of God molds us anew. Take care my friend and may God Bless... - Norman E. Hooben on the death of our dearly beloved pet dog, Stirling
"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." -- Josef Stalin --
When it comes to lying, prudent people are guided by a Higher Authority driven by ‘thou shall not’ written in stone. Whereas Bill Clinton has no Higher Authority to guide him, ‘thou shall not’ has no conscious objections; for without a conscience there is no guilt.” - Norman Hooben

The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny. - James Madison, the Federalists Papers
There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some Exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back And stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.
In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked,'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly, the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity. The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America.
The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms- just a little at a time.
One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free Lunch!' Also, 'You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
You apparently don't share a sense of patriotism, Americanism, freedomism, or whatever kind of 'ism' that true Americans believe in... You do however, display a bit of socialism, communism, marxism or whatever kind of 'ism' that you make excuses for... ~ Norman E. Hooben (in response to an Obama supporter's views about the ACS census)
Anation that knows not from where it came, knows not where it is going!Today, Americans know too little about the foundations of our nation. The result is a nation now in chaos, its people unable to discern what is wrong with the transformation (paradigm shift) of our society and form of government that, if left unchecked, will destroy every facet of freedom, liberty and justice. The price of freedom is vigilance; the price of vigilance is knowledge. Many of America's founding documents are now available on the web. ~
