Facing Death...facing reality

We are at a crossroad... What shall we do?  I ran across this video by chance and was about to move on to continue with my original search when the thought hit home.  We have a very close friend of over forty years who is dying of a fatal form of cancer (multiple myoloma).  Watching a person die is a very traumatic experience...the ultimate feeling of helplessness dominates...
Always a bit skeptical about the intents and purposes of such documentaries combined with the recent hullabaloo over the so-called Obama care death panels...you know the part Pelosi and Reid were in denial about then removed that part from the bill (how could they remove what wasn't there in the first place), this video certainly exposes end of life counseling.  Is there a political message here?  In my humble opinion there definetly is...and we should expect more of the same in the coming months.  I don't believe that any of the participants in this video knew that politics played a role in its making...producers/backers, now that would be another story.
Meanwhile our friend's time on this planet is getting short and we worry about that.  What we don't concern ourselves with is the money it costs to keep her alive...that's what the insurance companies care most about, our friend is just a number on a insurance policy.  They're in business to make money, not to save lives and that leads us to Obama Care. ~ Norman E. Gibbs Quits...Obama's Wife Pregnant... Wow! How could this happen?

...a little news from the homefront
source: Politics Alabama

Poor, Underpaid Presidential Spokesman by Matthew Givens

I don't know if you caught this, but in saying goodbye to his Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs, PresBo actually had the nerve to call his $172,200 a year salary "modest." These were his exact words:
He’s had a six-year stretch now where basically he’s been going 24/7 with relatively modest pay. I think it’s natural for someone like Robert to want to step back for a second to reflect, retool and that, as a consequence, brings about both challenges and opportunities for the White House.
I won't comment on whether or not his job has been as hectic as PresBo says... I have no reason to doubt it. But to call $172,200 a year a "modest salary" is ridiculous. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't PresBo claim that any person earning $200,000 or more is "rich?" How can we go from a "modest salary" to "filthy rich" in just $27,800?

There's a logical disconnect, there.

But you see, to PresBo, surrounded by people who are worth millions, that $172,000 probably does look pretty modest. It's a sense of entitlement that they have. Since, after all, they are serving our nation by running it, they deserve all the perks they can wring out of a grateful peasantry. The politicians are, at least in their own view, America's version of royalty. And for royalty, is $172,200 really that much?

Personally, this is an attitude that has to GO. Those working for the government should not be making more money than 92% of Americans... as did Gibbs.

US official resigns over Mrs Obama's pregnancy?

Washington, Jan 7: Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary suddenly resigned from his post which forced many to came out with their own speculations.
But rumours said, Gibbs became the victim of the first lady, Michelle Obama's scorn as report revealed that Mrs Obama got angry with Gibbs after he disclosed about her "pregnancy."
US President Obama, stating about Gibbs, said, "sad...Gibbs would temporarily...lose his mind...and reveal Michelle's pregnancy to the public."
Few days back, Gibbs, in conversation with media, disclosed about Mrs Obama's pregnancy, though he did not confirm or deny the rumor directly.
However, WWN has confirmed that Michelle Obama is about two months into her pregnancy and the President and First Lady expect to have the baby sometime in late July 2011.

"...massive inbreeding in Muslim culture" ...is that a problem?

Bryan Fischer-Focal Point (cross-posted from Patriots For America)

A huge Muslim problem: Inbreeding
By Bryan Fischer

Nicolai Sennels is a Danish psychologist who has done extensive research into a little-known problem in the Muslim world: the disastrous results of Muslim inbreeding brought about by the marriage of first-cousins.
This practice, which has been prohibited in the Judeo-Christian tradition since the days of Moses, was sanctioned by Muhammad and
has been going on now for 50 generations (1,400 years) in the Muslim world.
This practice of inbreeding will never go away in the Muslim world, since Muhammad is the ultimate example and authority on all matters, including marriage.
The massive inbreeding in Muslim culture may well have done virtually
irreversible damage to the Muslim gene pool, including extensive damage to its intelligence, sanity, and health.
According to Sennels,
close to half of all Muslims in the world are inbred. In Pakistan, the numbers approach 70%. Even in England, more than half of Pakistani immigrants are married to their first cousins, and in Denmark the number of inbred Pakistani immigrants is around 40%.
The numbers are equally devastating in other important Muslim countries:
67% in Saudi Arabia, 64% in Jordan, and Kuwait, 63% in Sudan, 60% in Iraq, and 54% in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar .
According to the BBC, this Pakistani, Muslim-inspired inbreeding is thought to explain the probability that a
British Pakistani family is more than 13 times as likely to have children with recessive genetic disorders. While Pakistanis are responsible for three percent of the births in the UK , they account for 33% of children with genetic birth defects.
The risk of what are called autosomal recessive disorders such as cystic fibrosis and spinal muscular atrophy is 18 times higher and the risk of death due to malformations is 10 times higher
Other negative consequences of inbreeding include a
100 percent increase in the risk of stillbirths and a 50% increase in the possibility that a child will die during labor.
Lowered intellectual capacity is another devastating consequence of Muslim marriage patterns. According to Sennels, research shows that children of consanguineous marriages lose 10-16 points off their IQ and that social abilities develop much slower in inbred babies.

The risk of having an IQ lower than 70, the official demarcation for being classified as "retarded," increases by an astonishing 400 percentamong children of cousin marriages.
(Similar effects were seen in the Pharaonic dynasties in ancient Egypt and in the British royal family, where inbreeding was the norm for a significant period of time.)
In
Denmark, non-Western immigrants are more than 300 percent more likely to fail the intelligence test required for entrance into the Danish army.
Sennels says that "the ability to enjoy and produce knowledge and abstract thinking is simply lower in the Islamic world." He points out that the
Arab world translates just 330 books every year, about 20% of what Greece alone does.
In the last 1,200 years of Islam, just 100,000 books have been translated into Arabic, about what Spain does in a single year. Seven out of 10 Turks have never even read a book.
Sennels points out the difficulties this creates for Muslims seeking to succeed in the West. "A lower IQ, together with a religion that denounces critical thinking, surely makes it harder for many Muslims to have success in our high-tech knowledge societies."
Only nine Muslims have every won a Nobel Prize, and five of those were for the "Peace Prize." According to Nature magazine, Muslim countries produce just 10 percent of the world average when it comes to scientific research (measured by articles per million inhabitants).
In
Denmark, Sennels' native country, Muslim children are grossly overrepresented among children with special needs. One-third of the budget for Danish schools is consumed by special education, and anywhere from 51% to 70% of retarded children with physical handicaps in Copenhagen have an immigrant background.
Learning ability is severely affected as well. Studies indicated that 64% of school children with Arabic parents are still illiterate after 10 years in the Danish school system. The immigrant drop-out rate in Danish high schools is twice that of the native-born.
Mental illness is also a product. The closer the blood relative, the higher the risk of schizophrenic illness. The increased
risk of insanity may explain why more than 40% of the patients in Denmark 's biggest ward for clinically insane criminals have an immigrant background.
The U.S. is not immune. According to Sennels, "One study based on 300,000 Americans shows that the majority of Muslims in the USA have a lower income, are less educated, and have worse jobs than the population as a whole."
Sennels concludes:
There is no doubt that the wide spread tradition of first cousin marriages among Muslims has harmed the gene pool among Muslims. Because
Muslims' religious beliefs prohibit marrying non-Muslims and thus prevents them from adding fresh genetic material to their population, the genetic damage done to their gene pool since their prophet allowed first cousin marriages 1,400 years ago are most likely massive. (This has produced) overwhelming direct and indirect human and societal consequences.

Bottom line: Islam is not simply a benign and morally equivalent alternative to the Judeo-Christian tradition. As Sennels points out, the first and biggest victims of Islam are Muslims. Simple Christian compassion for Muslims and a common-sense desire to protect Western civilization from the ravages of Islam dictate a vigorous opposition to the spread of this dark and dangerous religion. These stark realities must be taken into account when we establish public polices dealing with immigration from Muslim countries and the building of mosques in the U.S.
Let's hope America wakes up before a blind naiveté about the reality of Islam destroys what remains of our Christian culture and our domestic tranquility.

Has the light bulb in your brain lit up yet?

If you're reading this for the first time or was not aware of what your government is doing to you as it not only concerns light bulbs... it's your freedom! Wake the hell up!

From the Washington Times

EDITORIAL: Light-bulb banning begins
Left-coast and European bureaucrats are grabbing incandescents
By THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The cost of illuminating your home is about to go up significantly. Most Americans take for granted that when they flip a switch, darkness immediately gives way to a warm, natural light. That's no longer possible in California, where a regulation that took effect Jan. 1 only allows the sale of harsh, cold compact fluorescents above a certain wattage. Unless the new Congress takes action, the same rules will apply to the rest of the country, beginning next year.

The prohibition on buying real light bulbs follows from the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, signed into law by then-President George W. Bush. The measure gave bureaucratic zealots in the Golden State permission to embark on their confiscatory policy a year early. Of course, in true Orwellian fashion, the California Energy Commission strongly denies it's doing anything to prohibit consumers from buying the type of bulbs they prefer. "You can still buy any type of light bulb you like, the only difference is that the new bulbs will use less energy and cost less money to operate," the commission's website explains. Left unsaid is that it's a crime to sell newly manufactured cheap bulbs that produce a pleasing, natural light of 100 watts or more.

With more than a century to perfect Thomas Edison's great invention, manufacturers sell the brilliant 60-watt bulb for as little as 29 cents. The less-effective squiggly versions run $2 to $5 each, with prices for higher wattages and three-way configurations sometimes exceeding $10 each.

Congressional busybodies don't care about the impact on consumers. They want to be just like the Europeans who began bulb banning in 2009. The final phase will be complete in September after the popular 60-watt incandescent is declared contraband. As London's Daily Mail reported, this marketplace manipulation will bring a predictable outcome: The cost of government-mandated compact fluorescent fixtures is about to triple. Absent competition from traditional lighting, manufacturers won't need to discount the deadly, mercury-filled substitutes in order to attract buyers. Companies will no longer receive credit from Brussels for subsidizing the cost of the bulbs. As a result, their price will rise. ...Full story continues here

Obama-Holder & Company...enemy of the state...time to put out the 'WANTED' posters

Back in June 1997 there was a United States Supreme Court ruling that ruled the Brady Bill was in fact unconstutional and that the Federal Government could not commandeer state or county officers for federal bidding.  Some of you may remember this case concerning Sheriff Richard Mack versus President Bill Clinton... Clinton and the Federal Government lost big time! ...and this was a great day for America.  Federal agencies could no longer do whatever they damn well pleased.  The ruling stated at least three times that the States were "not subject to Federal direction."  The case proved that local officials have the right, the power, and the duty to stand against far reaching incursions by our own Federal Government.  Justice Scalia wrote for the majority, stating, "The Federal Government may not compel the states to enact or enforce a federal regulatory program."  I ask anyone, "Is this not the law of the land?" So what the hell is Obama and Holder doing by encouraging foreign countries to interfer with the internal matters of a sovereign state?
For what you are about to see is basis for the immediate apprehension and arrest of Obama-Holder and company.  This in fact makes the Obama Administration an enemy of the State and any sheriff in the state of Arizona (and probably elsewhere) should have no qualms about making the arrest...time to put out the "Wanted" posters...they should offer an award.  ~ Norman E. Trump this !

Trump Says He Will Run for President
By Ronald Kessler ~

Billionaire Donald Trump is telling friends he has decided he will definitely run for president as a Republican.
Trump will make the announcement when his NBC show "The Apprentice" finishes the season in the spring, he is confiding. He has been soliciting recommendations on political advisers, focusing initially on the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. Trump declined to comment.
In October, Trump said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" and on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that he was thinking about the possibility of running. In an interview from Scotland, where he has been building a golf course, Trump expanded on his comments to Newsmax, saying that "the world is laughing at us" and the United States is now “a punching bag for the world.”
It is “sad what’s happened to the country,” Trump said. “We’re no longer a respected nation, and we should be the most respected.”
According to a Newsmax/SurveyUSA poll conducted Nov. 3 and 4, in a head-to-head race between President Obama and Trump, the entrepreneur would get 47 percent of the vote, versus 53 percent for Obama.
Trump polled strongly among Republicans and conservatives. He got 50 percent of the votes of independents.
Understandably, many are skeptical that Trump would actually run. He has toyed with the idea before and is now at the pinnacle of his real estate career.
At his New Year's Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, his home and club in Palm Beach, he clearly was enjoying his celebrity, shmoozing with Regis Philbin and Rod Stewart in between dances with his stunning wife Melania.
But Trump has told friends he believes Obama is a "disaster." An advocate of a strong national security, he becomes livid when he talks about the decline of America compared with other countries like China.
“I look at the jobs numbers, and I see what’s going on in China, where it’s booming," Trump said on Fox News. "You know why it’s booming? Because they’re making all our products. They’re taking all our jobs. We are rebuilding China, and our country is going to hell.”

Humans! You do not control the biosphere of life on Earth. You do not control its natural calamities!

Humans! Get Over Yourself !
 By Alan Caruba

The greatest absurdity has been the belief that human beings have any influence over the planet on which they live.
The Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the fifth largest of the Solar System’s four terrestrial planets. It is the only planet that sustains life as we know it and humans came late to the party.
The Earth is dated to be 4.5 billion years old in a universe that is increasingly believed to have always existed, despite the Big Bang theory. Such evidence as exists suggests it is the only planet that has given rise to the evolution of life from self-replicating molecules, starting around 4 billion years ago.
Scientists have given names to the various periods of time of the Earth’s existence. These include the oldest, the Devonian, followed by the Silurian, Ordovician, Cambrian, Paleocene, Cretaceous, Jurassic, and Permian among others.
Robert W. Felix, in his book, Magnetic Reversals and Evolutionary Leaps”, notes that “For all intents and purposes, though, life on Earth began about 580 million years ago at the beginning of the Cambrian Period, when new life suddenly exploded across the Earth.”
“A dizzying burst of shelled forms took place, and virtually all major forms of animal life.” This is known as the Cambrian explosion and Felix notes there was an “abrupt change from simple life forms to more advanced. No one knows how or why it happened. What we do know is that the pattern has always been the same—sudden—always sudden.”
What we do know is that mass extinctions have marked every period since the Earth’s beginning. Following the Cambrian explosion around 535 million years ago there have been at least five major mass extinctions, all pre-dated the existence of mankind. Indeed, mankind didn’t begin to gain traction as a species until the end of the last continental glaciation—ice age—about 10,000 years ago.
The Archaic Homo sapiens, anatomically human, date back about 500,000 years, but what we regard as modern humans did not make an appearance until 200,000 years ago and the earliest indicators of anything resembling Homo sapien sapiens, humanity, date back a mere 35,000 years ago.
Civilization is defined in a variety of ways, but is usually dated to the development of agriculture and the organization of human life around villages and cities. The Jews date their history back 3,500 years, but some date their arrival to 5,000 years ago. The last ice age ended about 10,000 years ago, so humans as we know ourselves didn’t begin until well after that event.
We are now 11,500 years since the last ice age and the next one is due any day now. The Earth has been in one of its cyclical cooling periods for a decade, the result of less solar activity, also a cyclical event.
Humans, you need to stop worrying about “controlling” carbon dioxide and stop passing laws to reduce its emissions. As far as the atmosphere  is concerned CO2 is 3.618% and man-made CO2 is even more miniscule, only 0.117%. Without CO2 we and everything else dies.
As the late Dixie Lee Ray, former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, noted, “Such increases (of CO2) have occurred in the past without any help from us at all, and this time is probably no different. Most likely, the causes were and still are colossal cosmic forces quite outside human ability to control.”
The Earth’s atmosphere is composed primarily of 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. Water vapor is being constantly recycled from the atmosphere to the Earth and absent the atmosphere no life would exist on Earth.
The other major factor affecting our lives is the Earth’s magnetic fields. The magnetic poles drift and periodically reverse. The magnetosphere deflects particles in the solar wind. The collision between the magnetic field and the solar winds forms the Van Allen radiation belts that protect the Earth.
The most recent magnetic reversal occurred approximately 700,000 years ago and reversals appear to occur in sync with ice ages and with the procession of the equinoxes.
We just experienced a winter solstice, one of the equinoxes marking the seasons as the Earth hurtles through space, circumnavigating the Sun, completely indifferent to human beings and all other life. In the southern hemisphere, they had a summer solstice.
As the human race continues to grow in numbers; it reached 6,803,000,000 by the end of 2007 and is projected to reach seven billion by 2013, it is worth keeping in mind that only 13.3% of the Earth surface is arable; which is to say is available for growing crops that in turn feed us and the livestock we grow.
Only about one-eighth of the Earth’s surface is suitable for humans to live on. Three-quarters is covered by oceans, while half of the land area is either desert (14%), high mountains (27%) or unsuitable unless you are an Eskimo or Bedouin. Most of us live in or near cities.
The relatively short history of humans demonstrates a capacity for violence documented in myths, the Bible, and recorded documentation of wars without end.
There is little evidence that murder, individual and organized, for any reason or no reason will end. The primary change of the last century was the development of nuclear weapons to destroy humans in numbers that defy the imagination.
So, humans, get over yourself!
You do not control the biosphere of life on Earth. You do not control its natural calamities. Your attempts at governance are fought with conflict, conquest, and oppression.
After the next magnetic reversal, the survivors—if there are any—will likely learn nothing from the experience.

Since He's Been In Charge, We've Never Been The Same...not only you, but Biden and Pelosi

The most corrupt administration of all time...truly the fault of the sheeple!

"What America really needs is a wall-to-wall people's insurrection, preferably based on force and fear of force, the only thing oligarchs understand." ~ Joe Bageant
Perhaps it's coming to that... I might also add that there's a fairly apt description of the average American in Mr. Bageant's commentary.  It describes what has happened to us collectively as a nation of what some of us refer to as sheeple...certainly between the media and the educational system, they have driven us into flocks just waiting for the wolves!
"Despite the way it looks in the news, most Americans remain untouched by foreclosure, bankruptcy and unemployment. ...Animal comfort kills all thoughts of revolution..."  (an interpretation of complacency!)
Tying the above quotes into the following may not be too far fetched but let us add another, "We have met the enemy and he is us because government is a criminal enterprise!"  ~ Norman E. Hooben
ps: To the best of my knowledge, there is no connection between Mr. Bageant and Mr. Caruba.    ...ideologically they are about 120 degrees apart from one another.

Government as a Criminal Enterprise
by Alan Caruba
From his column Warning Signs

The Obama administration is “one of the most corrupt administrations in modern times” said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) Sunday, January 2st. As the incoming chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, we can expect some explosive revelations.
The larger question is how long can a nation survive when its east and west coasts are occupied by liberals who are so out of touch with reality they cannot understand why the rest of the nation would disagree with them about anything? Two States alone, California and New York, are so broke and so laden with red tape they exist by mercy alone.
Liberals are people who still think bigger government, more regulations and more spending is the answer to every problem and need.
These are people who still talk about “global warming”, often in the midst of a raging blizzard.
These are people who refuse to consider the daily headlines of Muslim bombings of Christians, often in their churches, poses a threat to Western civilization.
In the middle, in “fly over country”, the bulk of the population simply stares in disbelief at the White House and Congress and keeps asking, “What are those people thinking?”
Having sent a small army of new people, conservatives, to the House of Representatives and narrowed the Senate’s ability to do further damage, these are independents who now expect change of a different kind than Obama’s.
It’s not so much change as a “return” to smaller government, less borrowing and spending, and such, but those days essentially ended in the last century as progressives got an income tax written into the Constitution, took away the right of State legislatures to name Senators who would represent their State’s interests, and then went on a binge of “entitlement” programs such as Social Security and Medicare.
A century of liberal government has bankrupted the government.
Indeed, just about anything one wants to do, go to college, start a small business, begin raising alpacas, whatever, the government will provide a loan or a grant or a tax exemption. The federal government determines how much each State receives for road and bridge repair, for its school systems, for just about everything for which States were formerly responsible.
The so-called Stimulus Act was nothing more than Representatives and Senators throwing every state and local project into a huge spending bill and then claiming it would create jobs. As has been the case for decades, the only jobs that get created from such largess are government jobs, while businesses large and small are required to waste thousands of hours and thousands of dollars filling out government forms.
There’s a word for that. It’s called communism. To avoid the ugliness of that, it is also called socialism, but it is still communism when the government makes the most important decisions about virtually everything affecting one’s life.
The financial collapse of 2008 was the result of the utter failure of two “government entities”, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that so distorted the housing mortgage marketplace that it finally collapsed from an excess of incoherence. No one knew who owned the mortgage. Not Fannie or Freddie, not the banks, investment firms or AIG that used them as “bundled” assets.
The current bank failure rate is testimony to the need to shut down Fanny and Freddy.
Those mortgages were loans made to people that often didn’t have a job, bought homes so large they were beyond their ability to make the monthly payments, or just got fired and couldn’t pay. Whose fault was that? The lenders who knew they could turn around and sell the mortgage to Fannie and Freddie, and stick the American taxpayer with the cost to the tune of billions.
Beyond the mortgage fiasco, there is the government’s steady erosion of American’s vast energy industries. They cannot drill for oil anywhere. They cannot mine coal. If, however, you want to build a wind or solar farm, the government will give you millions to produce minimal amounts of electricity and require utilities to purchase it.
Or perhaps you want to be an ethanol producer? The government requires that all gasoline be mixed with ethanol, thus raising the cost per gallon for a chemical that actually reduces the mileage you’d get without it. In addition, since it’s mostly made from corn it forces up the cost of feed to livestock which in turns forces up the cost of meat at the supermarket and the countless other food products that utilize corn in some fashion.
In a free market ethanol would not exist. Even Al Gore has disowned it!
What kind of government would insist on regulating carbon dioxide, claiming it is causing “global warming” when it is obvious to everyone there is no “global warming” and CO2 is not causing anything except the growth of every form of vegetation on planet Earth.

When a government lies that much to everyone in an effort to control all energy use, it has become a criminal enterprise.

While all this is going on, that same government is borrowing and borrowing and borrowing, mostly from China, to keep the monstrosity it has created going. Our government is flat broke.
When you add in a President who thinks America is too arrogant and represents people who eat too much, drive too much, and need to expect less if they get sick, it is little wonder people are beginning to lose faith in him.
We need a lot of change in a big hurry or one day we will all wake up and there will be no United States of America because it had to default on nearly $14 trillion in present debt. That's equal to our current Gross Domestic Product. The U.S. dollar continues to lose its value and we have two more years of a President who cannot sign more spending bills fast enough.
