(CBS/AP) Two U.S. helicopters dropped elite Marine recon teams behind Taliban lines before dawn Friday as the U.S.-led force stepped up operations to break resistance on the seventh day of fighting in the besieged militant stronghold of Marjah.

Moshtarak has been an odd operation. From the beginning they have announced they were coming, in numerous ways, in hopes that the insurgents would leave the area.
I don't know where this event falls. It seems a CBS embedded reporter is spilling the story.
Norm, I have noticed, while reading around about Marjah, that some soldiers do not like the way this has been handled.
Ditto on the CBS reporter.
Also read some of the comments on the msm sites...they are are not happy campers.

I just bit my cigar in half. Is this Mandy a female. What did she do to get her story, maybe a little pillow talk? The SOB who spilled these beans should be strung up by his testicles with battery cables. Mandy she should be kicked out of country.
Not only do our military people have to put up with dum-bass ROEs, they have to put up with people who don't give a damn about security and are willing to spead the intelligence to the enemy.
