Religion and Politics by George excellent lecture even Liberals should understand

As an on again, off again follower of George Will I thought that this lecture was right on.  I just happened upon this recent speech while scanning the TV channels for something worthwhile.  Some years ago (before blogs where invented) I used to read Will's commentary in  one of the magazines that I no longer subscribe to (and that's why I can't remember the title) where he exhibited his skill at transcribing much of what we think into understandable text.  Whereas his ideology mirrors my own I still find it difficult to understand why most liberals fail to recognize where they have gone astray when such writers (and in this case, speakers) as George Will clearly summarizes...and with rational thought, the principles on which this nation was founded.   Someone once wanted to argue with me about the separation of church and state when I simply explained that there is nothing in the United States Constitution that says we must separate the two and that our Founding Fathers instituted this country upon the principles of the prevailing religions of the colonies; mainly Christian but generally described as Judeo-Christian based on the shared commonality of the Old Testament.  It is those principles that held us together for all the years since Jamestown and Plymouth, through the revolution, and up to the present.  We, as a nation, are clearly on the decline for the lack of those original principles especially among those we vote into postions of authority.  There's hardly a soul in the entire three branches of government that currently have any of the Judeo-Christian principles that will ensure our continuity for the next hundred years. And if Barack Husein Obama is allowed to finish his second term in the White House it will not only be a sin to go against your principles, it will be against the law!  ~  Norman E. George Will
Renowned journalist and author George Will speaks before an audience at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, on the role of religion in U.S. politics.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist speaks at the university’s Graham Chapel, giving the keynote address on religious beliefs of some of America’s founders and presidents.
In a speech titled “Religion and Politics in the First Modern Nation,” Will's remarks ranged from the preamble to the Declaration of Independence to the government as an evolving principle. He continues to argue that government should grant leaders the required powers they need to properly benefit the changing nation.
Introductory remarks were made by former Senator (R-MO) and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Danforth.

Andrew Kehoe kills 38 school children, 2 teachers, and 4 other adults...psst, and he did it without a gun!

Some Perspective...
by Eric Peters
The worst mass-killing at an elementary school didn’t occur last week – and it didn’t involve a gun.

On May 8, 1927, 55-year-old Andrew Kehoe detonated multiple homemade bombs at the Bath Consolidated School in Clinton County, Michigan. At about 8:45 in the morning, the first of the bombs went off, destroying most of the school’s north wing, killing 38 school children, two teachers and four other adults.

That’s 44 dead – 17 more than died at the hands of the Connecticut Creep last Friday.

Kehoe had planted another device – 500 pounds of explosives – in the basement of the school, but was unable to detonate this bomb before killing himself (by blowing himself up, along with his truck) as rescuers arrived on scene. His clear intent – and damn near actuality – was to blow up the entire school. Which could have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of school kids.

Prior to his attack on the school, Kehoe had blown up his farm – and beaten his wife to death with a blunt object.

Probably, you’ve never heard about what came to be called The Bath School Disaster – which to this day remains the single worst mass killing at a school in the history of the United States.

And one that was executed without so much as a shot being fired.

Perhaps because the Bath Disaster is proof that banning guns – even if such a thing could be accomplished, in the sense of denying evil people access to guns – cannot prevent the mass murder of innocents. A psychopath such as Andrew Kehoe – or the Connecticut Creep – will find a way. And the fact is, a bomb – or poison – is a far more effective way to kill large numbers of people than an AR-15 or a Glock.

For example, in 1995, the Aum Shinrikyo cult in Japan deployed Sarin gas in the Tokyo subway. Five members of the cult each carried multiple packets of liquid Sarin, about 900 milliliters in total per attacker. A single drop of Sarin can kill one adult. Fifty people were severely injured – and thousands suffered temporary vision and respiratory problems.

It was nothing less than a miracle that no one was killed.

But they easily could have been.

Without a single shot being fired from so much as a single-shot Derringer.

Much less a “high-capacity” magazine or “assault rifle.”

Japan has among the strictest gun control regimes in the world. Yet that didn’t prevent a near mass-murder. And arguably, encouraged it in the sense that it easily could have been far worse than merely spraying a subway with gunfire.

Piers Morgan, et al, might want to consider the “lessons” of Bath – and Tokyo – before continuing to demand that innocent people be denied their right to own a gun. Their right, that is, to the only effective means of self-defense against the Connecticut Creeps of this world.

Their right, moreover, to not be treated as if they had done something because someone else might do something.

Probably he and others who believe as he does will not reconsider. Because that would require them to think rather than emote. Because their beliefs – their feelings – are what’s at issue here.

Not reason.

Not facts.

Facts such as those above. Facts such as that 40 percent of the appx. 13,000 homicides that occur each year in the United States do not involve firearms. But no one advocates “knife control.” Much less “fist control” – to say nothing of “car control” – despite the fact that vastly more people die each year as a result of car crashes than as a result of the criminal misuse of a firearm.

There are appx. 8,600 gun-related murders in the U.S. annually. An ugly fact. But the truly telling fact is that the overwhelming majority of these murders occurred in areas where it is illegal – or very difficult – to lawfully possess a firearm. If you were to look at a map of the United States, with each of the 8,600 murders represented by a red pin, you would see clusters of red pins in areas such as Chicago, IL, New York City, Washington, DC – and Sandy Hook, CT. The “gun free” zones. Meanwhile, in the gun-friendly areas (areas where citizens are not denied their right to possess a gun) virtually no pins.

Just not the facts that fit The Agenda.

Which is why such facts must be ignored – while non-facts (such as the presence of guns being correlated with more murder and mayhem) are talked-up by such as Piers Morgan and his fellow shedders of Obama Tears.

Because that’s how they feel about guns.

Piers revealed his fundamental lack of reason during a recent on-air rant against guns – when confronted with the entirely reasonable arguments laid out by Gun Owners of America’s Larry Pratt (see here for the clip).
The disgraced ex-newspaperman (that’s Piers Morgan) was reduced to name-calling – “you’re a very stupid man, aren’t you?” – which not only made Morgan look stupid but far worse, entirely hysterical.

And that is what we are up against. Childish, emotional hysterics.

Reason must prevail.

What you can expect in Obama's 2nd term...

"The coming collapse of the U.S. dollar is a done deal. It’s been in the works for years – decades, and this is one of the most important cataclysmic events that DHS is preparing for."...   Stop thinking about a normal situation. The country is divided, which is exactly where Obama wants us to be. We are as ideologically divided as we were during the Civil War and that rift is growing every day. ~ see The Latest from DHS (parts I & II) below  (Emphasis mine N. E. Hooben)

What you can expect in Obama's 2nd term...
Although this video was made elsewhere it's an excellent depiction of what is about to happen in the good ole U. S. of A.  Remember when they sang, "Don't cry for me Argentina", well you haven't seen nothing yet.  The Obama dreams of his father are coming to fruition...and like Gordon Brown once said, "The New World Order is emerging." ...and there's not a soul in Congress that will stop it!  After you've watched the video take a long look at this:

The latest from "DHS Insider" (Part I) - Northeast Intelligence Network

23 December 2012: After a lengthy, self-imposed informational black-out, my high-level DHS contact known as “Rosebud” emerged with new, non-public information about plans being discussed and prepared for implementation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the near future. It is important to note that this black-out was directly related to the aggressive federal initiative of identifying and prosecuting “leakers,” at least those leaks and leakers not sanctioned by the executive office – the latter of which there are many.
Due to those circumstances, my source exercised an abundance of caution to avoid compromising a valuable line of communication until he had information he felt was significant enough to risk external contact. The following information is the result of an in-person contact between this author and “Rosebud” within the last 48 hours. With his permission, the interview was digitally recorded and the relevant portions of the contact are provided in a conversational format for easier reading. The original recording was copied onto multiple discs and are maintained in secure locations for historical and insurance purposes.

The following began after an exchange of pleasantries and other unrelated discussion:

DH: Do I have your permission to record this conversation?
RB: You do.

DH: I’ve received a lot of e-mail from people wondering where you went and why you’ve been so quiet.
RB: As I told you earlier, things are very dicey. Weird things began to happen before the election and have continued since. Odd things, a clampdown of sorts. I started looking and I found [REDACTED AT THE REQUEST OF THIS SOURCE], and that shook me up. I’m not the only one, though, that found a [REDACTED], so this means there’s surveillance of people within DHS by DHS. So, that explains this cloak and dagger stuff for this meeting.

DH: I understand. What about the others?
RB: They are handling it the same way.

DH: I’ve received many e-mails asking if you are the same person giving information to Ulsterman. Are you?
RB: No, but I think I know at least one of his insiders.

DH: Care to elaborate?
RB: Sorry, no.

DH: Do you trust him or her. I mean, the Ulsterman source?
RB: Yes.

DH: Okay, so last August, you said things were “going hot.” I printed what you said, and things did not seem to happen as you said.
RB: You’d better recheck your notes and compare [them] with some of the events leading up to the election. I think you’ll find that a full blown campaign of deception took place to make certain Obama got back into office. The polls, the media, and a few incidents that happened in the two months before the election. I guess if people are looking for some big event they can point to and say “aha” for verification, well then I overestimated people’s ability to tell when they are being lied to.

DH: What specific incidents are you referring to?
RB: Look at the threats to Obama. Start there. The accusations of racism. Then look at the polls, and especially the judicial decisions about voter ID laws. Bought and paid for, or where there was any potential for problems, the judges got the message, loud and clear. Then look at the voter fraud. And not a peep from the Republicans. Nothing. His second term was a done deal in September. This was planned. Frankly, the Obama team knew they had it sewn up long before election day. Benghazi could have derailed them, but the fix was in there, so I never saw anything on my end to suggest a ready-made solution had to be implemented.

DH: What’s going on now?
RB: People better pay close attention over the next few months. First, there won’t be any meaningful deal about the fiscal crisis. This is planned, I mean, the lack of deal is planned. In fact, it’ necessary to pave the way for what is in the short term agenda.

DH: Wait, you’re DHS – not some Wall Street insider.
RB: So you think they are separate agendas? That’s funny. The coming collapse of the U.S. dollar is a done deal. It’s been in the works for years – decades, and this is one of the most important cataclysmic events that DHS is preparing for. I almost think that DHS was created for that purpose alone, to fight Americans, not protect them, right here in America. But that’s not the only reason. There’s the gun issue too.

DH: So, what are you seeing at DHS?
RB: We don’t have a lot of time, tonight – our meeting – as well as a country. I mean I have heard – with my own ears – plans being made that originate from the White House that involve the hierarchy of DHS. You gotta know how DHS works at the highest of levels. It’s Jarrett and Napolitano, with Jarrett organizing all of the plans and approaches. She’s the one in charge, at least from my point of view, from what I am seeing. Obama knows that’s going on and has say, but it seems that Jarrett has the final say, not the other way around. It’s [screwed] up. This really went into high gear since the election.

But it’s a train wreck at mid management, but is more effective at the lower levels. A lot of police departments are being gifted with federal funds with strings attached. That money is flowing out to municipal police departments faster than it can be counted. They are using this money to buy tanks, well, not real tanks, but you know what I mean. DHS is turning the police into soldiers.
By the way, there has been a lot of communication recently between Napolitano and Pistole [TSA head]. They are planning to use TSA agents in tandem with local police for certain operations that are being planned right now. This is so [deleted] important that you cannot even begin to imagine. If you get nothing else out of this, please, please make sure you tell people to watch the TSA and their increasing involvement against the American public. They are the stooges who will be the ones to carry out certain plans when the dollar collapses and the gun confiscation begins.

DH: Whoa, wait a minute. You just said a mouthful. What’s the agenda here?
RB: Your intelligence insider – he knows that we are facing a planned economic collapse. You wrote about this in your articles about Benghazi, or at least that’s what I got out of the later articles. So why the surprise?

DH: There’s a lot here. Let’s take it step by step if you don’t mind.
RB: Okay, but I’m not going to give it to you in baby steps. Big boy steps. This is what I am hearing. Life for the average American is going to change significantly, and not the change people expect. First, DHS is preparing to work with police departments and the TSA to respond to civil uprisings that will happen when there is a financial panic. And there will be one, maybe as early as this spring, when the dollar won’t get you a gumball. I’m not sure what the catalyst will be, but I’ve heard rumblings about a derivatives crisis as well as an oil embargo. I don’t know, that’s not my department. But something is going to happen to collapse the dollar, which has been in the works since the 1990′s. Now if it does not happen as soon as this, it’s because there are people, real patriots, who are working to prevent this, so it’s a fluid dynamic. But that doesn’t change the preparations.

And the preparations are these: DHS is prepositioning assets in strategic areas near urban centers all across the country. Storage depots. Armories. And even detainment facilities, known as FEMA camps. FEMA does not even know that the facilities are earmarked for detainment by executive orders, at least not in the traditional sense they were intended. By the way, people drive by some of these armories everyday without even giving them a second look. Commercial and business real estate across the country are being bought up or leased for storage purposes. Very low profile.
Anyway, I am hearing that the plan from on high is to let the chaos play out for a while, making ordinary citizens beg for troops to be deployed to restore order. but it’s all organized to make them appear as good guys. That’s when the real head knocking will take place. We’re talking travel restrictions, which should no be a problem because gas will be rationed or unavailable. The TSA will be in charge of travel, or at least be a big part of it. They will be commissioned, upgraded from their current status.

They, I mean Jarrett and Obama as well as a few others in government, are working to create a perfect storm too. This is being timed to coincide with new gun laws.
DH: New federal gun laws?

RB: Yes. Count on the criminalization to possess just about every gun you can think of. Not only restrictions, but actual criminalization of possessing a banned firearm. I heard this directly from the highest of my sources. Plans were made in the 90′s but were withheld. Now, it’s a new day, a new time, and they are riding the wave of emotion from Sandy Hook., which, by the way and as tragic as it was, well, it stinks to high heaven. I mean there are many things wrong there, and first reports are fast disappearing. The narrative is being changed. Look, there is something wrong with Sandy Hook, but if you write it, you’ll be called a kook or worse.

DH: Sure
RB: But Sandy Hook, there’s something very wrong there. But I am hearing that won’t be the final straw. There will be another if they think it’s necessary.

DH: Another shooting?
RB: Yes.

DH: That would mean they are at least complicit.

RB: Well, that’s one way of looking at it.

DH: Are they? Were they?
RB: Do your own research. Nothing I say, short of bringing you photographs and documents will convince anyone, and even then, it’s like [DELETED] in the wind.

DH: So…
RB: So what I’m telling you is that DHS, the TSA and certain, but not all, law enforcement agencies are going to be elbow deep in riot control in response to an economic incident. At the same time or close to it, gun confiscation will start. It will start on a voluntary basis using federal registration forms, then an amnesty, then the kicking-in of doors start.

Before or at the same time, you know all the talk of lists, you know, the red and blue lists that everyone made fun of? Well they exist, although I don’t know about their colors. But there are lists of political dissidents maintained by DHS. Names are coordinated with the executive branch, but you know what? They did not start with Obama. They’ve been around in one form or another for years. The difference though is that today, they are much more organized. And I’ll tell you that the vocal opponents of the politics of the global elite, the bankers, and the opponents of anything standing in their way, well, they are on the top of the list of people to be handled.
DH: Handled?

RB: As the situations worsen, some might be given a chance to stop their vocal opposition. Some will, others won’t. I suppose they are on different lists. Others won’t have that chance. By that time, though, it will be chaos and people will be in full defensive mode. They will be hungry, real hunger like we’ve never experienced before. They will use our hunger as leverage. They will use medical care as leverage.

DH: Will this happen all at once?
RB: They hope to make it happen at the same time. Big cities first, with sections being set apart from the rest of the country. Then the rural areas. There are two different plans for geographical considerations. But it will all come together.

End of Part I

The latest from "DHS Insider" (Part II) - Northeast Intelligence Network

24 December 2012: The following is the second part of my in-person interview with a DHS insider. For Part I, please click HERE.

DH: Wait, this sounds way, way over the top. Are you telling me… [Interrupts]
RB: [Over talk/Unintelligible] …know who was selected or elected twice now. You know who his associates are. And you are saying this is way over the top? Don’t forget what Ayers said – you talked to Larry Grathwohl. This guy is a revolutionary. He does not want to transform our country in the traditional sense. He will destroy it. And he’s not working alone. He’s not working for himself, either. He has his handlers. So don’t think this is going to be a walk in the park, with some type of attempt to rescue the country. Cloward-Piven. Alinsky. Marx. All rolled into one. And he won’t need the rest of his four years to do it.

DH: I need you to be clear. Let’s go back again, I mean, to those who speak out about what’s happening.
RB: [Edit note: Obviously irritated] How much clearer do you want it? The Second Amendment will be gone, along with the first, at least practically or operationally. The Constitution will be gone, suspended, at least in an operational sense. Maybe they won’t actually say that they are suspending it, but will do it. Like saying the sky is purple when it’s actually blue. How many people will look a the sky and say yeah, it’s purple? They see what they want to see.

So the DHS, working with other law enforcement organizations, especially the TSA as it stands right now, will oversee the confiscation of assault weapons, which includes all semi-automatic weapons following a period of so-called amnesty. It also includes shotguns that hold multiple rounds, or have pistol grips. They will go after the high capacity magazines, anything over, say 5 rounds.

They will also go after the ammunition, especially at the manufacturer’s level. They will require a special license for certain weapons, and make it impossible to own anything. More draconian than England. This is a global thing too. Want to hunt? What gives you the right to hunt their animals? Sound strange? I hope so, but they believe they own the animals. Do you understand now, how sick and twisted this is? Their mentality?

The obvious intent is to disarm American citizens. They will say that we’ll still be able to defend ourselves and go hunting, but even that will be severely regulated. This is the part that they are still working out, though. While the plans were made years ago, there is some argument over the exact details. I know that Napalitano, even with her support of the agenda, would like to see this take place outside of an E.O. [Executive Order] in favor of legislative action and even with UN involvement.

DH: But UN involvement would still require legislative approval.
RB: Yes, but your still thinking normal – in normal terms. Stop thinking about a normal situation. The country is divided, which is exactly where Obama wants us to be. We are as ideologically divided as we were during the Civil War and that rift is growing every day. Add in a crisis – and economic crisis – where ATM and EBT cards will stop working. Where bank accounts will contain nothing but air. They are anticipating a revolution and a civil war rolled into one (emphasis added by this author).

Imagine when talk show hosts or Bloggers or some other malcontent gets on the air or starts writing about the injustice of it all, and about how Obama is the anti-Christ or something. They will outlaw such talk or writing as inciting the situation – they will make it illegal by saying that it is causing people to die. The Republicans will go along with everything as it’s – we have – a one party system. Two parties is an illusion. It’s all so surreal to talk about but you see where this is headed, right?

DH: Well, what about the lists?

RB: Back to that again, okay. Why do you think the NSA has surveillance of all communications? To identify and stop terrorism? Okay, to be fair, that is part of it, but not the main reason. The federal agencies have identified people who present a danger to them and their agendas. I don’t know if they are color coded like you mentioned, red blue purple or peach mango or whatever, but they exist. In fact, each agency has their own. You know, why is it so [deleted] hard for people to get their heads around the existence of lists with names of people who pose a threat to their plans? The media made a big deal about Nixon’s enemies list and everyone nodded and said yeah, that [deleted], but today? They’ve been around for years and years.

DH: I think it’s because of the nature of the lists today. What do they plan to do with their enemies?

RB: Go back to what Ayers said when, in the late 60′s? 70′s? I forget. Anyway, he was serious. But to some extent, the same thing that happened before. They – the people on some of these lists – are under surveillance, or at least some, and when necessary, some are approached and made an offer. Others, well, they can be made to undergo certain training. Let’s call it sensitivity training, except on a much different level. Others, most that are the most visible and mainstream are safe for the most part. And do you want to know why? It’s because they are in the pockets of the very people we are talking about, but they might or might not know it. Corporate sponsorship – follow the money. You know the drill. You saw it happen before, with the birth certificate.

It’s people that are just under the national radar but are effective. They have to worry. Those who have been publicly marginalized already but continue to talk or write or post, they are in trouble. It’s people who won’t sell out, who think that they can make a difference. Those are the people who have to worry.

Think about recent deaths that everybody believes were natural or suicides. Were they? People are too busy working their [butts] off to put food on the table to give a damn about some guy somewhere who vapor locks because of too many doughnuts and coffee and late nights. And it seems plausible enough to happen. This time, when everything collapses, do you think they will care if it is a bullet or a heart attack that takes out the opposition? [Deleted] no.

DH: That’s disturbing. Do you… [interrupts]

RB: Think about the Oklahoma City bombing in ’95. Remember how Clinton blamed that on talk radio, or at least in part. Take what happened then and put it in context of today. Then multiply the damnation by 100, and you will begin to understand where this is going. People like Rush and Hannity have a narrow focus of political theater. They’ll still be up and running during all of this to allow for the appearance of normal. Stay within the script, comrade.

But as far as the others, they have certain plans. And these plans are becoming more transparent. They are getting bolder. They are pushing lies, and the bigger the lie, the easier it is to sell to the people. They will even try to sell a sense of normalcy as things go absolutely crazy and break down. It will be surreal. And some will believe it, think that it’s only happening in certain places, and we can draw everything back once the dust settles. But when it does, this place will not be the same.

DH: Will there be resistance within the ranks of law enforcement? You know, will some say they won’t go along with the plan, like the Oath Keepers?

RB: Absolutely. But they will not only be outnumbered, but outgunned – literally. The whole objective is to bring in outside forces to deal with the civil unrest that will happen in America. And where does their allegiance lie? Certainly not to Sheriff Bob. Or you or me.

During all of this, and you’ve got to remember that the dollar collapse is a big part of this, our country is going to have to be redone. I’ve seen – personally – a map of North America without borders. Done this year. The number 2015 was written across the top, and I believe that was meant as a year. Along with this map – in the same area where this was – was another map showing the United States cut up into sectors. I’m not talking about what people have seen on the internet, but something entirely different. Zones. And a big star on the city of Denver.

Sound like conspiracy stuff on the Internet? Yup. But maybe they were right. It sure looks that way. It will read that way if you decide to write about this. Good luck with that. Anyway, the country seemed to be split into sectors, but not the kind shown on the internet. Different.

DH: What is the context of that?

RB: Across the bottom of this was written economic sectors. It looked like a work in progress, so I can’t tell you any more than that. From the context I think it has to do with the collapse of the dollar.

DH: Why would DHS have this? I mean, it seems almost contrived, doesn’t it?

RB: Not really, when you consider the bigger picture. But wait before we go off into that part. I need to tell you about Obamacare, you know, the new health care coming up. It plays a big part – a huge [deleted] part in the immediate reshaping of things.

DH: How so?

RB: It creates a mechanism of centralized control over people. That’s the intent of this monster of a bill, not affordable health care. And it will be used to identify gun owners. Think your health records are private? Have you been to the doctor lately? Asked about owning a gun? Why do you think they ask, do you think they care about your safety? Say yes to owning a gun and your information is shared with another agency, and ultimately, you will be identified as a security risk. The records will be matched with other agencies.

You think that they are simply relying on gun registration forms? This is part of data collection that people don’t get. Oh, and don’t even think about getting a script for some mood enhancement drug and being able to own a gun.

Ayers and Dohrn are having the times of their lives seeing things they’ve worked for all of their adult lives actually coming to pass. Oh, before I forget, look at the recent White House visitor logs.

DH: Why? Where did that come from?

RB: Unless they are redacted, you will see the influence of Ayers. Right now. The Weather Underground has been reborn. So has their agenda.

DH: Eugenics? Population control? ~ (Note from Norm:  I warned you about this before.  Remember Project 2000?  Remember Margaret Sanger? ...guess not because I wouldn't be saying this now.)

RB: Yup. And re-education camps. But trust me, you write about this, you’ll be called a kook. It’s up to you, it’s your reputation, not mine. And speaking about that, you do know that this crew is using the internet to ruin people, right? They are paying people to infiltrate discussion sites and forums to call people like you idiots. Show me the proof they say. Why doesn’t you source come forward? If he knows so much, why not go to Fox or the media? To them, if it’s not broadcast on CNN, it’s not real. Well, they’ve got it backwards. Very little on the news is real. The stock market, the economy, the last presidential polls, very little is real.

But this crew is really internet savvy. They’ve got a lot of people they pay to divert issues on forums, to mock people, to marginalize them. They know what they’re doing. People think they’ll take sites down – hack them. Why do that when they are more effective to infiltrate the discussion? Think about the birth certificate, I mean the eligibility problem of Obama. Perfect example.

DH: How soon do you see things taking place?
RB: They already are in motion. If you’re looking for a date I can’t tell you. Remember, the objectives are the same, but plans, well, they adapt. They exploit. Watch how this fiscal cliff thing plays out. This is the run-up to the next beg economic event.

I can’t give you a date. I can tell you to watch things this spring. Start with the inauguration and go from there. Watch the metals, when they dip. It will be a good indication that things are about to happen. I got that little tidbit from my friend at [REDACTED].
NOTE: At this point, my contact asked me to reserve further disclosures until after the inauguration

History of the Democratic Party's violence and anti black civil rights

White supremacists worked club in hand with Democrats for decades:

– May 22, 1856: Two years after the Grand Old party’s birth, U.S. Senator Charles Sumner (R., Mass.) rose to decry pro-slavery Democrats. Congressman Preston Brooks (D., S.C.) responded by grabbing a stick and beating Sumner unconscious in the Senate chamber. Disabled, Sumner could not resume his duties for three years.

– July 30, 1866: New Orleans’s Democratic government ordered police to raid an integrated GOP meeting, killing 40 people and injuring 150.

– September 28, 1868: Democrats in Opelousas, Louisiana killed nearly 300 blacks who tried to foil an assault on a Republican newspaper editor.

– October 7, 1868: Republicans criticized Democrats’ national slogan: “This is a white man’s country: Let white men rule.”

– April 20, 1871: The GOP Congress adopted the Ku Klux Klan Act, banning the pro-Democrat domestic terrorist group.

– October 18, 1871: GOP President Ulysses S. Grant dispatched federal troops to quell Klan violence in South Carolina.

– September 14, 1874: Racist white Democrats stormed Louisiana’s statehouse to oust GOP Governor William Kellogg’s racially integrated administration; 27 are killed.

– August 17, 1937: Republicans opposed Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Supreme Court nominee, U.S. Senator Hugo Black (D., Al.), a former Klansman who defended Klansmen against race-murder charges.

– February 2005: The Democrats’ Klan-coddling today is embodied by KKK alumnus Robert Byrd, West Virginia’s logorrheic U.S. senator and, having served since January 3, 1959, that body’s dean. Thirteen years earlier, Byrd wrote this to the KKK’s Imperial Wizard: “The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia.” Byrd led Senate Democrats as late as December 1988. On March 4, 2001, Byrd told Fox News’s Tony Snow: “There are white n*ggers. I’ve seen a lot of white n*ggers in my time; I’m going to use that word.” National Democrats never have arranged a primary challenge against or otherwise pressed this one-time cross-burner to get lost.

Contrast the KKKozy Democrats with the GOP. When former Klansman David Duke ran for Louisiana governor in 1991 as a Republican, national GOP officials scorned him. Local Republicans endorsed incumbent Democrat Edwin Edwards, despite his ethical baggage. As one Republican-created bumper sticker pleaded: “Vote for the crook: It’s important!”

Republicans also have supported legislation favorable to blacks, often against intense Democratic headwinds:

– In 1865, Congressional Republicans unanimously backed the 13th Amendment, which made slavery unconstitutional. Among Democrats, 63 percent of senators and 78 percent of House members voted: “No.”

– In 1866, 94 percent of GOP senators and 96 percent of GOP House members approved the 14th Amendment, guaranteeing all Americans equal protection of the law. Every congressional Democrat voted: “No.”

– February 28, 1871: The GOP Congress passed the Enforcement Act, giving black voters federal protection.

– February 8, 1894: Democratic President Grover Cleveland and a Democratic Congress repealed the GOP’s Enforcement Act, denying black voters federal protection.

– January 26, 1922: The U.S. House adopted Rep. Leonidas Dyer’s (R., Mo.) bill making lynching a federal crime. Filibustering Senate Democrats killed the measure.

– May 17, 1954: As chief justice, former three-term governor Earl Warren (R., Calif.) led the U.S. Supreme Court’s desegregation of government schools via the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision. GOP President Dwight Eisenhower’s Justice Department argued for Topeka, Kansas’s black school children. Democrat John W. Davis, who lost a presidential bid to incumbent Republican Calvin Coolidge in 1924, defended “separate but equal” classrooms.

– September 24, 1957: Eisenhower deployed the 82nd Airborne Division to desegregate Little Rock’s government schools over the strenuous resistance of Governor Orval Faubus (D., Ark.).

– May 6, 1960: Eisenhower signs the GOP’s 1960 Civil Rights Act after it survived a five-day, five-hour filibuster by 18 Senate Democrats.

– July 2, 1964: Democratic President Johnson signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act after former Klansman Robert Byrd’s 14-hour filibuster and the votes of 22 other Senate Democrats (including Tennessee’s Al Gore, Sr.) failed to scuttle the measure. Illinois Republican Everett Dirksen rallied 26 GOP senators and 44 Democrats to invoke cloture and allow the bill’s passage. According to John Fonte in the January 9, 2003, National Review, 82 percent of Republicans so voted, versus only 66 percent of Democrats.

True, Senator Barry Goldwater (R., Ariz.) opposed this bill the very year he became the GOP’s presidential standard-bearer. However, Goldwater supported the 1957 and 1960 Civil Rights Acts and called for integrating Arizona’s National Guard two years before Truman desegregated the military. Goldwater feared the 1964 Act would limit freedom of association in the private sector, a controversial but principled libertarian objection rooted in the First Amendment rather than racial hatred.

– June 29, 1982: President Ronald Reagan signed a 25-year extension of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

The Republican party also is the home of numerous “firsts.” Among them:

– Until 1935, every black federal legislator was Republican. America’s first black U.S. Representative, South Carolina’s Joseph Rainey, and our first black senator, Mississippi’s Hiram Revels, both reached Capitol Hill in 1870. On December 9, 1872, Louisiana Republican Pinckney Benton Stewart “P.B.S.” Pinchback became America’s first black governor.

– August 8, 1878: GOP supply-siders may hate to admit it, but America’s first black Collector of Internal Revenue was former U.S. Rep. James Rapier (R., Ala.).

– October 16, 1901: GOP President Theodore Roosevelt invited to the White House as its first black dinner guest Republican educator Booker T. Washington. The pro-Democrat Richmond Times newspaper warned that consequently, “White women may receive attentions from Negro men.” As Toni Marshall wrote in the November 9, 1995, Washington Times, when Roosevelt sought reelection in 1904, Democrats produced a button that showed their presidential nominee, Alton Parker, beside a white couple while Roosevelt posed with a white bride and black groom. The button read: “The Choice Is Yours.”

– GOP presidents Gerald Ford in 1975 and Ronald Reagan in 1982 promoted Daniel James and Roscoe Robinson to become, respectively, the Air Force’s and Army’s first black four-star generals.

– November 2, 1983: President Reagan established Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday as a national holiday, the first such honor for a black American.

– President Reagan named Colin Powell America’s first black national-security adviser while GOP President George W. Bush appointed him our first black secretary of state.
– President G.W. Bush named Condoleezza Rice America’s first black female NSC chief, then our second (consecutive) black secretary of State. Just last month, one-time Klansman Robert Byrd and other Senate Democrats stalled Rice’s confirmation for a week. Amid unanimous GOP support, 12 Democrats and Vermont Independent James Jeffords opposed Rice the most “No” votes for a State designee since 14 senators frowned on Henry Clay in 1825.”

If you are a Muslim gunman slaughtering unarmed Americans, Obama will protect you (at the very least, he'll make excuses for you!)

From the desk of Pamela Geller
Pulling the trigger on gun control
My take on the debased exploitation of the slaughter of children by a madman:

Pamela Geller
Obama’s selective sympathy concerning the Newtown massacre is political exploitation at its most cynical and debased. Where were Obama’s concern, his empathy and his calls for a thorough investigation of the Fort Hood and Benghazi massacres?
Obama’s knee-jerk opportunism, trying to exploit the horrible deaths of these children to pursue his political ends (harmful gun-control legislation), is in sharp contrast to his response to the Fort Hood mass murder. When Maj. Nidal Hasan murdered 13 Americans in the name of jihad, Obama attempted to silence concerns about jihad, declaring that no one should “rush to judgment” – despite the fact that Hasan was wearing the garb of the shaheed the morning of his jihad, was giving out Qurans that same morning and was screaming “Allahu akbar!” while mowing down Americans.
And now he is trying to destroy the Second Amendment. This is the poison fruit of the left’s decades-long war on American values and morality. The problem is not guns. The problem is our societal glorification of violence and death. We need to recover love of life and respect for human beings in the society, and teach such things in schools.
Our societal nihilism is what leads to these attacks.
American children are fed a daily diet of violence from early childhood on. A nonstop feed of gratuitous, mindless violence on television, in movies, on the Internet and particularly video games dehumanizes and desensitizes. How many open-chest cavities do we need to see on “CSI” or “Law and Order”? When I was a kid, “The Twilight Zone” and Alfred Hitchcock could scare the living daylights out of you without so much as a knife or gun drawn. Add to that the porn culture, the lack of morality and virtue …
That lurid and amoral violence of Hollywood and the music industry, the breakdown of the family and a reckless abandonment of the mentally ill – all have contributed to this horrifying phenomenon of mass shootings. In the recent past, the mentally ill were institutionalized. But in the late 20th century, psychiatric hospitals got a very bad name; the left decided that the mental institutions were wrong and cruel. Institutionalizing someone became the bogeyman. The hospitals were closed, and we basically tossed our mentally ill onto the street. We medicated them and then threw them to the wolves. Now we’re raising a generation of mentally ill children, with limited mental health resources and a system with hands tied until after the tragedy happens.
Outlawing guns will not deter criminals, who will not hesitate to obtain illegal guns. It will just render the populace utterly defenseless.
In the U.K., where there is no right to bear arms, gun crime has gone up 89 percent in the last 10 years. Gun-control laws haven’t stopped that. The only way to stop a man with a gun is with a gun. It is little reported in the enemedia that the Clackamas mall shooter faced a shopper with a concealed weapon who cut his spree short. The Clackamas Town Center, two weeks before Christmas, was teeming with humanity, but the shooter managed to kill only two people. Concealed weapons save lives. John Lott reminds us, “Similar stories are available from across the country. They include shootings at schools that were stopped before police arrived in such places as Pearl, Miss., and Edinboro, Pa., and at colleges like the Appalachian Law School in Virginia. Or attacks in busy downtowns such as Memphis; at a mall in Salt Lake City, or at an apartment building in Oklahoma.”
The NRAs Wayne LaPierre said Friday: The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Would you rather have your 911 call bring a good guy with a gun from a mile away … or a minute away? … The National Rifle Association knows that there are millions of qualified active and retired police; active, reserve and retired military…We can deploy them to protect our kids now.
Those who recoil at the prospect of armed guards in schools, and who think banning all guns will solve the problem, should remember that on the same day as the Newtown massacre, a knife-wielding madman slashed 22 kids at an elementary school in China. I guess we’ll have to ban all knives, too.
Also, anti-gun hysteria is ignoring key distinctions. After the theatre shootings in Colorado last summer, Obama said: “AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not on the streets of our cities.” However, the killer didn’t use an AK-47; he used an M&P 15. Lott noted: “The call has frequently been made that there is ‘no reason’ for such ‘military-style weapons’ to be available to civilians. Yes, the M&P 15 and the AK-47 are ‘military-style weapons.’ But the key word is ‘style’ – they are similar to military guns in their aesthetics, not in the way they actually operate.”
Gun-control laws simply don’t work. In Obama’s hometown of Chicago, the murder rate is skyrocketing, despite some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country. Everywhere guns have been banned, murder rates have gone up – whether it’s Chicago, D.C., England, Jamaica or Ireland.
What can we do? We need laws that require treatment and supervision of the dangerously mentally ill, so that violent and unstable people aren’t roaming around unsupervised as they are. We need to repeal sections of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act that – as unbelievable as it sounds – actually prevent doctors from telling parents of mentally ill children the truth about their condition. We need to make sure that hospitals aren’t releasing mentally ill patients solely for reasons of expense.
Instead of doing something that would really solve the problem, Obama is rushing to penalize all Americans and make us all less safe.

When they're finished in Timbuktu, they'll be coming after you.

With all this talk about Sharia law being the only law Muslims abide by this is how it will be imposed upon the United States once Obama and company take away your guns and other freedoms.  Hell, we were warned about this stuff before but not a damn soul has done anything about it ('it' is the destruction depicted in the above video ↑).  When will the citizenry wake up?  Somebody has to put out the trash in the White House...and there's more garbage over in the Congress!  ~ Norman E. Islamists 'destroy' mausoleums in Timbuktu
By News Wires the 23/12/2012 - 22:59

Islamists in Timbuktu renewed efforts to destroy the historic city’s remaining mausoleums on Sunday, three days after the UN backed an African-led military intervention to retake control of the country's north from al Qaeda-linked groups.

Armed groups occupying Timbuktu in northern Mali used pickaxes on Sunday to smash up any remaining mausoleums in the ancient city, an Islamist leader said.

The rebels' ruthless implementation of their version of Islamic law comes just days after the United Nations approved a military force to wrest back control of the conflict-ridden area.

"Not a single mausoleum will remain in Timbuktu, Allah doesn't like it," Ansar Dine leader Abou Dardar told AFP. "We are in the process of smashing all the hidden mausoleums in the area."

Witnesses confirmed the claims, which were also backed by a resident who said he belongs to Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), another militant group occupying the fabled city since a March coup plunged the west African state into chaos.

Anything that doesn't fall under Islam "is not good. Man should only worship Allah," Mohamed Alfoul said of the mausoleums, which the armed Islamists consider blasphemous.

The vandalism of the Muslim saints' tombs in the UNESCO World Heritage site came a day after other Islamists in the northern city of Gao announced they had amputated two people's hands.

The continued strict application of sharia law is seen as a sign that the armed Islamist groups are unfazed by the UN's green light for the African-led military operation.

Planners have said any intervention cannot be launched before September next year. French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian however said in an interview due out in Monday's La Croix newspaper that he thought an intervention could occur in the first half of 2013.

In July, Islamists destroyed the entrance to a 15th-century mosque in Timbuktu, the so-called "City of 333 Saints."

"The Islamists are currently in the process of destroying all the mausoleums in the area with pickaxes," one witness said.

"I saw Islamists get out of a car near the historic mosque of Timbuktu. They smashed a mausoleum behind a house shouting 'Allah is great, Allah is great'," another resident told AFP.

Not only present in cemeteries and mosques, the revered mausoleums are also found in alleyways and private residences in the city, an ancient centre of learning and desert crossroads.

Ansar Dine first began destroying the cultural treasures in July.

The International Criminal Court warned their vandalism was a war crime, but the Islamists followed up with more damage in October, when they smashed several Muslim saints' tombs, prompting another international outcry.

The latest vandalism comes a day after another Islamist group in northern Mali -- the Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MUJAO) -- said it had carried out amputations on two accused robbers in the northern city of Gao, and warned of more to come.

Gao lawmaker Abdou Sidibe blamed the amputations on the "international community's laxness", saying its hesitation over whether to intervene to reconquer Mali's north was making Islamists feel invincible.

"The international community needs to know that it is its hesitation over intervening, or no, in northern Mali that is encouraging the Islamists to show they are at home and are not afraid of anything," Sidibe said Saturday.

On Thursday, the United Nations decided to back the 3,300-troop operation to take back the Islamist-held region, though the Security Council vowed to keep working towards a peaceful solution.
On Friday, two of the armed rebel groups occupying the north -- including Ansar Dine -- denounced the UN approval of the intervention force and vowed to cease hostilities.
But a Malian presidential advisor told AFP that the statements contained nothing new.

Once considered one of Africa's most stable democracies, Mali has for months been mired in the northern conflict that has so far displaced more than 400,000 people, according to the United Nations.

Meanwhile in Nigeria on Sunday, radical Islamist group Ansaru claimed last week's kidnapping of a French citizen in the north of that country. One reason he was targetted, said the group, was because of France's push for military intervention in northern Mali.
