Facing Death...facing reality

We are at a crossroad... What shall we do?  I ran across this video by chance and was about to move on to continue with my original search when the thought hit home.  We have a very close friend of over forty years who is dying of a fatal form of cancer (multiple myoloma).  Watching a person die is a very traumatic experience...the ultimate feeling of helplessness dominates...
Always a bit skeptical about the intents and purposes of such documentaries combined with the recent hullabaloo over the so-called Obama care death panels...you know the part Pelosi and Reid were in denial about then removed that part from the bill (how could they remove what wasn't there in the first place), this video certainly exposes end of life counseling.  Is there a political message here?  In my humble opinion there definetly is...and we should expect more of the same in the coming months.  I don't believe that any of the participants in this video knew that politics played a role in its making...producers/backers, now that would be another story.
Meanwhile our friend's time on this planet is getting short and we worry about that.  What we don't concern ourselves with is the money it costs to keep her alive...that's what the insurance companies care most about, our friend is just a number on a insurance policy.  They're in business to make money, not to save lives and that leads us to Obama Care. ~ Norman E.
