The first commentary concerns corruption at the UN (...so what else is new) and given the history of that poor excuse for an organization the culprits will most likely get a slap on the wrist...What was that? They stole a trillion dollars! Oh, I thought they were talking big bucks...what's a measly trillion.
Following that is a reprint from our friend Roger Gardner (1936 - December 17, 2009) who accurately describes the incompetence of those at the helm. Then we have a former Prime Minister of Japan attempting to get on a North Korean submarine with takusan (Japanese for very much) money instruments. Don't know for sure what that's all about but any hokey-pokey with the financial markets is cause for concern. There are certainly a number of other factions that will bring about the conditions we don't want to talk about but among them is the Islam problem...and those that deny there is an Islam problem are simply not watching what is going on in the world. I've given up on the idea that Islam is a religion...I agree with Bernie, its a political system, and it must be banned. The Muslim sympathizer in the White House is proof positive we must act on this issue else we will have no country...he's already taken the united away from the U. S. of A. by dis-uniting the people who once assimilated into this place called America. I won't say anymore about Islam but I picture is worth a thousand words (see below). ~ Norman E. Hooben

Fulford: Criminal Case Against Davos and UN Officials Goes Forward Despite Death of Joe Bendana
|
Since we're on the subject of imminent collapse I thought it would be a good idea to bring back this reminder written by our dearly departed friend Roger Gardner back in April of 2009:
Into the Maelstrom: Converging Crises
Can't you feel it? Events are moving faster and faster now. We're sailing into the whirlpool. Threats which once seemed faraway and merely hypothetical are now growing exponentially, swirling around us, drawing us ever closer into the vortex. And we seem helpless. We procrastinate and equivocate. We can't make up our minds. We're lost in a hopeless labyrinth of ambiguities and euphemisms.
Meanwhile, circling us like sharks sensing blood, our enemies are sensing our weakness. Ahmadinejad steps up his threatening rhetoric: They will become nuclear, they will have their bomb. The UN and NATO are either anti-American or useless. The hopelessly conflicted IAEA is impotent: pro-Muslim Al Baradi faults the West and sides with Iran. Kim Jong Ill drops out of the non-proliferation talks and give the rest of the world the finger. Russia and China sense their main chance and are eagerly building up their arsenals. All of the petty potentates are rattling their sabers. The ragtag Somali pirates, the motley teenage Al-Shabaab, are calling our bluff and threatening revenge. The reinvigorated Taliban is busy with their bloody Reconquista of Afghanistan. The crises are converging. Can't you feel it?
Alas, our captain and crew are woefully inexperienced and morally conflicted and the helmsman has lost his grip on the wheel. Are we really doomed to founder? Where is that brave pilot to guide us through this dark night and bring us into safe harbor? Where is that barely remembered voice of manliness and courage? Who will replace the fallen helmsman before it is too late?
We call out but no one answers. Are we really all alone? Abandoned by an incompetent captain and a useless crew? Are we, the passengers, our only hope of salvation? To save our great ship must we all become mutineers?
The great whirlpool is drawing us steadily into its deadly grasp. Soon our decisions will be made for us by forces beyond our control. Our enemies grow more emboldened while our nominal allies vacillate or turn their backs. Terror groups will become nuclear. Israel will be crippled or annihilated. North Korea will develop long range nuclear capability and blackmail the world. Russia and China will thwart us at every turn. Western Europe will fall to the Muslim menace and sharia law will be incorporated into our legal system. Our street gangs will run rampant and our borders will remain porous. Americanism will become a lost idea.
Is this how our great ship will founder? Are we truly helpless in the maelstrom? Someone please tell me I'm just being melodramatic, that things aren't as perilous as they seem, that the maelstrom is nothing but an overblown metaphor. That we'll pull through somehow, we always do.
Someone?
Anyone?

In a sign the secret battle for control of Japan has gone badly for the dark cabal, former Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone was recently caught trying to board a North Korean submarine with large amounts of high value financial instruments, according to senior CIA sources. This operation was stopped by pentagon white hats who are now carrying out a massive operation to get control of the entire Chinese periphery, including Japan and Vietnam. The White Dragon Society, for its part, is waiting for the chaos in the West to subside before making any moves.

Did I mention the immigration problem?
ICE Proposes New Policy That Would Let Illegal Immigrants Go Free
Published September 09, 2010 | FoxNews.com
Illegal immigrants who get pulled over by police for traffic-related offenses will be set free if a proposed change in Immigration and Customs Enforcement policy is approved.
The proposal has come under fire by county sheriffs near the Arizona-Mexico border — including some who spoke out against SB 1070, the controversial Arizona law that directs law enforcement officials to question people they suspect are in the country illegally. A federal judge has effectively put that law on hold, pending resolution in federal court of the Department of Justice's claim that it is unconstitutional.
The proposed changes in ICE policy state:
“Immigration officers should not issue detainers against an alien charged only with a traffic-related misdemeanor unless or until the alien is convicted."
The ICE proposal would prevent law enforcement officers from reporting illegal immigrants identified during the course of a traffic-related stop or arrest to federal authorities unless:
-- they are a convicted felon;
-- they are wanted for a felony;
-- they are part of an existing investigation;
-- they were involved in an accident involving drugs or alcohol, or they fled the scene.
The draft proposal was posted on ICE's website last month with a request for public comment. They will consider comments on the proposal from anyone who submits them and agency officials will reconvene at a future time to discuss the suggestions.
Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada, who opposed Arizona’s new immigration law, told KGUN9-TV, "It is surprising they would make that decision. I would suspect once an individual is identified as being here illegally, some process would kick in ... that would deport that person."
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, a staunch supporter of the Arizona law, also spoke out against ICE's proposal, telling KGUN, "Now it appears what they have in some draft policies and their proposal is to water down any strength in the federal law whatsoever, and this is clearly in direct opposition of what the people really want."
Estrada told FoxNews.com in a phone interview that he didn't think much would change for his department if the proposal became law.
"Now, we don't detain anyone. We call Border Patrol if we suspect someone is illegal, and we'll continue to do what we're doing," he said. "We'll continue to call Border Patrol and if we call Border Patrol and they don't respond, well...then they don't respond."
"I think this could be more of an issue everywhere else in the country with all the Border Patrol agents here at the border not that much will change," he said.
Senators John Cornyn, R-Texas, and Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., have written to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano expressing concern over the proposed change.
In a statement to FoxNews.com, Cornyn said:
"This situation is just another side effect of President Obama’s failure to deliver on his campaign promise to make immigration reform a priority in his first year. Until he does, state and local authorities are left with no choice but to pick up the slack for prosecuting and detaining criminal aliens."
ICE spokesman Brian Hale provided this statement:
"Some recent news reporting grossly mischaracterizes ICE’s draft detainer policy for which that the agency presently seeks public comment. ICE has removed record numbers of criminal and non-criminal aliens under this administration. The draft policy is designed to solicit public input on how to best set priorities for the use of our limited detention resources to protect public safety."

Current Situation: Out of the three stages to destruction we are definetly in some phase of stage two:
At some point, the unwashed masses suspect their politicians aren’t really gentle any more much less benevolent. This is where a silent war between government and people erupts. It’s a blurry transition through never-never land when the politicians still claim to be gentle but the people sense that they have gone from being protectors of the public good and private property to a plunderers of it; from morality to immorality.
The “Bastiat” transition doesn’t take place all at once but, one by one, members of the working class realize they’re toiling like mad and getting no where. What they do make is confiscated in taxes or destroyed in inflation. They have little left over and their life’s savings are being destroyed while the politicians tell them all is just fine, creating cognitive dissonance between the hardship workers experience and the good times the politicians promise.
But those friends of the dragon on the dole still insist the dragon’s intentions are moral, even if its methods are not. As tax rates push ever higher into confiscatory ranges, self-preservation kicks in and the people take defensive action against what they no longer perceive as moral duty but legally-sanctioned plunder. They do this at the same time they pretend the gentle politicians are correct even though they know better.
The rich catch on and move their assets offshore and sometimes themselves (Didn't I just mention that above? "former Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone was recently caught trying to board a North Korean submarine with large amounts of high value financial instruments..." ~ NEH) out of the reach of the dragon; they expatriate. They have the means to structure their finances in such as way as preserve wealth. Besides, the politicians are frequently among this class so they aren’t about to let the dragon loose on themselves.
Unfortunately, the middle class doesn’t have this option, so it fights the dragon by engaging in evasive maneuvers. Citizens cheat on taxes, and seek to conceal taxable assets. Whenever possible transactions are shielded from the ever-prying eyes of the hungry dragon.
As the ravages of taxation and inflation eat out the middle class’s substance, a vibrant underground economy springs up, utilizing barter, cash, foreign currencies, precious metals or other means to conceal taxable activity. Regulatory laws are flouted as people try to “see what they can get away with.” Often times this underground economy has an organized crime component vis a vis the former Soviet Union.
The second half of Stage Two of the war kicks into gear as the dragon responds to the rising opposition and imposes a growing panoply of laws and regulations with increasing fines, penalties and prison sentences. To block the rampant flouting of law, the dragon wants to monitor everything the citizens do in order to assure that plunder shall be paid, all in the name of the rule of law, public order and morality. Civil rights break down, all in the name of morality and public security. Coninue with stage two here
As for stage three all you need to read is the first line, "This last stage is where events turn nasty and chaotic. It is a dangerous time. It is a time no country should ever wish to reach."
