Hermann Goering, Martin Bormann, Otto Guensche, Rahm Emanuel...What's in a name? What's the difference?

Rahm's Plan For Mandatory Service

From http://blog.heritage.org/2008/11/24/rahms-plan-for-mandatory-service/

Obama شباب - Hitlerjugend - What's the difference?

There has been a small uproar around Obama’s call for a “civilian national security force” especially one “that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the military. But many have said that these words were taken out of context. If you read the whole speech, they argue, it is clear that he just wants to expand the Peace Corp a little bit.

Similarly, there was a mild uproar about his call for mandatory service from students, but many said that the programs were never intended to be mandatory. The college program was optional community service in exchange for a larger education credit, and the high-school one was no different from adding an art class or something to the public high-school curriculum. Obama initially called both mandatory on his change.gov website, but after the buzz began he changed the wording and removed several sections of the site.

But now there is new evidence that the critics are right. He does favor mandatory service and it might be worse than we thought. He has chosen Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff. Rahm Emanuel wrote a book called The Plan in 2006. On page 60-65 of the book Rahm calls for universal conscription of 18-24 year olds for civilian service in order to prepare for a potential terrorist attack.

All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service.

In a 2006 radio interview Rahm explains more about the program. He speaks about the dangers of a chemical attack and about the wonderful common experience that all Americans could have by being drafted for 3 months into a civilian national security force training program. He seems to be using the fear of attack to justify drafting all youth into a militaristic civilian security force – something more reminiscent of a dictatorship than a democracy. And all of his calls to unity and common experience only confirm his preference for nationalism or collectivism over individualism and freedom.

That Obama has chosen this man as his chief of staff should give anyone pause. This man has a “Plan” for the country that involves training our youth like soldiers, and calls upon “a new patriotism that brings us together again in a common mission” for his plan which will “unite us in a higher national purpose.”

"As far as I am concerned, an Obama presidency would be an act of war on all that I hold precious. One thing I can be damn sure of is that my children and grandchildren will never, ever be a part of this abomination. I don’t care where we have to flee or how we live, but their lives will never belong to a government."

But for me...I'll stay and fight!

"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense."

Fallen Soldier

Wiregrass Salutes CW3 Donald Clark (Note from Norm: They are friends of ours.)
(lyrics and music by Jamie Clark...Don's wife)

By Lance Griffin

Published: November 24, 2008

The perfectly folded American flag rested in the hands of CW3 Art Aylesbury as he approached 8-year-old Bailey Clark.

Aylesbury put his hand on Bailey’s shoulder and whispered words of comfort on behalf of a grateful nation as he handed over the flag. It rested in Bailey’s lap and he nodded as Aylesbury spoke.

It came near the end of the funeral for Bailey’s dad, CW3 Donald Clark, a Newton resident who died when his helicopter crashed Nov. 15 in Mosul, Iraq.

In August, Don’s wife Jamie said his deployment in Iraq was teaching her to be both a mother and father to Bailey. Monday, she clutched her flag in one hand as she put the other one around her son while soldiers presented another flag to Clark’s parents, Donald and Linda Clark.

Each presentation ended in a slow salute. CW3 Mike Eckhart’s hand trembled when he presented the flag to Jamie. Eckhart was Clark’s wingman.

“He was absolutely fearless in support of his brothers in combat,” said Eckhart, who delivered the eulogy and told stories of a gregarious, talented, driven soldier who felt truly free in the sky and the Alaskan wilderness.

His fellow soldiers called him “Genghis Don.” Eckhart referred to him as a real man and a world class soldier. He said Clark referred to himself as the “self-proclaimed emperor of Newton.”

Jamie said he was a loving husband. Rev. David Willis read a letter Jamie wrote for the service.

“Don and I were the sweetest love story ever told. He was my hero. The sorrow I feel is immeasurable,” Jamie wrote. “Don loved his family, his friends, his comrades and his country.”

The service with full military honors began with Clark’s body being flown to the cemetery via a Huey helicopter. A military detachment loaded the casket, draped with the American flag, onto a horsedrawn caisson. The caisson carried the body to the funeral site as the family walked behind. A soldier carried Clark’s trademark stetson. In the middle of the cross-laden cemetery, a man in full regalia, standing under the half-staff American flag, played the bagpipes. More than 250 crowded around the funeral area.

Eckhart shared stories of Clark’s less-guarded moments, and everyone laughed. Shane Owens sang “The Dance” by Garth Brooks, and everyone cried. The military paid a last homage with a 21-gun salute.

“Don was very smart. Everybody knows that. He could have done anything,” Willis said. “But he chose to stand together shoulder to shoulder with brave men and women to fight tyranny.”

According to one count, Clark is the 4,175th serviceman killed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Subject: The EPA has proposed harmful regulations on carbon dioxide.

From NewsRadio 1040 AM Des Moines, Ia:

Bob Quinn had information on Van & Bonnie this morning regarding the EPA considering a tax on cows and pigs in order to

regulate greenhouse gases under the Clear Air Act. Under the proposal, states could charge $175.00 per dairy cow, $87.50

per beef cow and a little more than $20.00 per pig. Comments can be made at www.stopepa.com or mail to

RE: Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2008-0318.

The comment deadline for the cow and pig tax is

Friday, Nov. 28th

This is not a joke and it is not a hoax.

The Environmental Protection Agency has proposed harmful regulations on carbon dioxide.

Intended to fight global warming, these new rules would hurt ordinary Americans, constrain the

economy and impose vast quantities of red tape.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNw4JjKIuv0

Please go to http://www.stopepa.com/ and tell them what you think. America has 7days, 3hours and 10minutes as of 6:48pm (CST) to respond, the open comment period ends on November 28, 2008.

Voice your opinion on new regulations under the Clean Air Act as proposed in the Advanced Notice of Proposed Rule Making, Docket ID # EPA-HQ-OAR-2008-0318.

Effects of these harmful regulations:

Costs to Ordinary Americans.
These regulations will drive up gas prices, food prices, transportation costs, and the price of manufactured goods. Regular Americans will even have to carefully monitor their own greenhouse gas emissions in order to comply with the confusing EPA regulations.

Red Tape for Ordinary Americans.
Americans could be forced to get federal permits if they use common household tools like lawnmowers or own homes that the EPA deems to use too much energy.

Lost Jobs.
The higher energy costs and regulatory excess will cost millions of jobs.

Impact on Small Businesses.
Many small businesses could be forced to close since they are less able to absorb the higher costs of energy, transportation, and goods, and less equipped to deal with the legal red tape of complying with such regulations. The red tape could keep entrepreneurs from starting the new companies that are at the heart of our economy.

Impact on All Businesses.
Businesses small and large will be forced to pay massive new energy taxes. The red tape could keep entrepreneurs from starting new companies and ventures that are at the heart of our economy.

Reduced International Competitiveness.
The massive new regulatory burden on domestic manufacturers will not apply to foreign producers, putting American businesses at a disadvantage.

The Mainstream Medai ! 'Disgusting' - It's even more disgusting when you admit it after the fact!

Cross posted from http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/media_bias_halperin/2008/11/23/154417.html?s=al&promo_code=71E0-1

'Disgusting' Bias for Obama, Time Writer Admits

The mainstream media's support for Barack Obama's presidential campaign was so biased that even major insiders are now admitting they were shocked by its depth and depravity.

Last week, Time magazine's Mark Halperin called the media's performance during the campaign simply "disgusting."

Halperin told a panel of media analysts at the Politico/USC conference on the 2008 election, "It's the most disgusting failure of people in our business since the Iraq war."

He added, "It was extreme bias, extreme pro-Obama coverage."

According to the Web site Politico, Halperin, who edits Time's political site "The Page," zeroed in on two New York Times articles near the end of the campaign that profiled both Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama.

"The story about Cindy McCain was vicious," Halperin said. "It looked for every negative thing they could find about her and it cast her in an extraordinarily negative light. It didn't talk about her work, for instance, as a mother for her children, and they cherry-picked every negative thing that's ever been written about her."

But the Times gave Michelle Obama red carpet treatment, "like a front-page endorsement of what a great person Michelle Obama is."

Halperin, a former ABC News political director, allowed that some of the press coverage simply reflected the extreme efficiency of Obama's presidential campaign.

"You do have to take into account the fact that this was a remarkable candidacy," Halperin said. "There were a lot of good stories. He was new."

Obama also had a lot of money and outspent Republican John McCain by more than 2 to 1.

The press never bothered to hold Obama accountable for reneging on his promise to use public financing. McCain kept his promise to do so.

During the campaign, conservatives criticized the pro-Obama coverage, but it had little effect.

Columnist David Limbaugh noted: "Never has that been clearer than in the 2008 presidential election, during which they are covering up rather than covering Barack Obama's shady past and alliances, his knee-deep involvement in corrupt practices threatening the very core of our democratic system, and his many policy misrepresentations."

Limbaugh noted that the press went into a tizzy over Sarah Palin's wardrobe, but ignored extravagances like Obama's "obscenely idolatrous million-dollar Greek coliseum mirage."

Now that the election is over, Halperin is not alone in admitting the bias. The Washington Post's ombudsman recently conceded that the paper’s coverage was skewed strongly in favor of Obama and against the McCain-Palin ticket.

Washington Post Admits Bias for Obama, Against McCain, Palin

Now that the presidential election is over, the liberal press can freely admit it was in the tank for Barack Obama.

On Sunday, The Washington Post's ombudsman admitted that the paper's coverage was strongly skewed in favor of Obama and against John McCain.

This report is not so much "news" -- readers knew that papers like the Post were working for the Obama campaign and had thrown claims of journalistic "objectivity" out the window to help the Illinois senator become president.

What is news is that the paper is admitting to the brazen bias.

In an article headlined "An Obama Tilt in Campaign Coverage," Post ombudsman Deborah Howell writes that Post readers "have been consistently critical of the lack of probing issues coverage and what they saw as a tilt toward Democrat Barack Obama."

Howell quickly adds, "My surveys, which ended on Election Day, show that they are right on both counts."

Howell studied the paper's coverage of the campaigns beginning in November 2007 -- about a year before Election Day.

She found rampant evidence of a pro-Obama bias.

"The op-ed page ran far more laudatory opinion pieces on Obama, 32, than on Sen. John McCain, 13. There were far more negative pieces (58) about McCain than there were about Obama (32), and Obama got the editorial board's endorsement. The Post has several conservative columnists, but not all were gung-ho about McCain.

"Stories and photos about Obama in the news pages outnumbered those devoted to McCain. Post reporters, photographers and editors -- like most of the national news media -- found the candidacy of Obama, the first African-American major-party nominee, more newsworthy and historic. Journalists love the new; McCain, 25 years older than Obama, was already well known and had more scars from his longer career in politics."

Howell fails to raise the "L" word (read liberal) to explain the Post's and other media infatuation with Obama.

Put another way, if the young Louisiana governor, Bobby Jindal, a conservative Republican and person of color, was running against an elderly liberal Democrat for president, would the coverage have been so kind to Jindal?

To ask the question is to answer it.

Howell says some of the lopsided coverage was due to the longer, heated campaign Obama underwent, beginning with his primary fight with Hillary Clinton. But even when Obama and McCain became their parties’ presumptive nominees, Post coverage continued to tilt toward Obama.

And the Post's bias didn't stop with McCain. Howell also admits the Post was out to get Sarah Palin.

"One gaping hole in coverage involved Joe Biden, Obama's running mate. When Gov. Sarah Palin was nominated for vice president, reporters were booking the next flight to Alaska. Some readers thought the Post went over Palin with a fine-tooth comb and neglected Biden. They are right; it was a serious omission."

As for the man we just elected our next president, Howell thinks "Obama deserved tougher scrutiny than he got, especially of his undergraduate years, his start in Chicago and his relationship with Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, who was convicted this year of influence-peddling in Chicago. The Post did nothing on Obama's acknowledged drug use as a teenager."

Oh well, it is nice to hear the paper that brought us Woodward and Bernstein finally admits that even the most basic investigative reporting gets targeted at Republicans.

Thanks for the candor, Deborah.

And this from my friend Dean (More truth Sue...you need to shy away from the MSM...You know I may be forgetting something here. Are you really a Marxist?)

Sunday, November 9, 2008
So, You Finally Did It.....

How nice for the leftists in this country and around the world to realize their dream of putting a Marxist in position to assume the duties of Commander in Chief of the USA. You finally did it after struggling for decades, pushing your unholy agenda, teaching your lies to the gullible and ignorant, revising history to support your claims and turning our children into good little communists.

You have removed God from our schools and government, you have rendered the Pledge of Allegiance unworthy of repetition, and turned the flag into something to be despised along with the people who love that flag and all it once represented.

Pardon me if I don't feel compelled to say congratulations to you or wish you well.

In reality you have to ask yourself what it is you have really won. What price did you pay? What price will we all pay?
When the bill comes due will you think it too costly?

Despite numerous warnings from many venues including thousands of bloggers who have tirelessly researched and reported on president elect obama's background, you have managed to pull off a coup of sorts.

The fact that your man got there through an intense propaganda machine some of us refer to as the lame stream media, voter intimidation, and Chicago politics doesn't concern you. All that matters is that you won. The end justifies the means according to you.

There is enough blame to go around for millions in this country. The millions who aided, abetted, fabricated lies and smears of the worst kind, villifying Republicans and conservatives for decades. You did well indoctrinating enough voters to pull the lever for your Marxist leaders.

Conservatives have become hated by many thanks to your tireless efforts in spreading your damnable lies. The problem with conservatives is that they don't fight back with the same vile tactics and are therefore perceived as weak or irrelevant.

We even have dissent in our own ranks as to how we should proceed from here. Many fear being labelled un-Christian or any number of other labels you marxist project on them if they stand up to you and fight back.

One of your kind even felt the need to send several of us a letter gloating with veiled threats and not so veiled threats. "We will be watching you. We will be monitoring your blogs and reporting them to the proper authorities." Notice the "we". The army of socialist bots is it?

Did you really think this would stop us reporting the truth about your kind? You have done nothing more than awakened a fierce resolve in us to see you vanquished forever. While some may fear reprisals, most of us laugh at you and condemn you.

We know you for what you really are.But I won't denigrate into calling you vile names like you have us on innumerable occassions.

The old saying "tell a lie often enough, to enough people and it will eventually be accepted as truth by them." That's the way you succeed. Lies, intimidation, reeducation, etc., ad nauseum. Karl Marx would be proud.

Just so you know. We will be watching you as well. There will come a day in this country when people like you have been exposed and retaliation for what you have done will be severe. Veiled threat? Nothing of the kind. That is a fact.

For several days now I've been reading articles from others expressing anger, depression, anxiety and even some who will either give in to your unholy agenda or join your ranks for their own elusive safety. It happens, history repeats itself. We are all human...even you.

I'm not going to attempt to be civil or kind to you. You are my enemy by your words and deeds and as such you will be treated as one. Your lies, your intolerance, and your vile hatred will not go unanswered. It may not be me who confronts you. It may be my children or their children but your day of reckoning approaches.

Millions of conservatives in this country and around the world prayed to defeat you. Asking God for His will to be done. You took this "win" as your answer and justification. You feel you have been vindicated. But I tell you this. God will not be mocked. He has allowed you a time to rule.

I will not be so arrogant to say to you that His judgement is coming. Nor will I say that those millions who prayed for your defeat have been rejected by God. His answer to our prayers will come in His own time at His will.

You can arrogantly state that He is on your side but I say this. God is no respecter of man. He has a plan from the beginning of time that will be fulfilled according to His "agenda", not yours, not mine.

His answer will be forthcoming, and many of you aren't going to like it.

As a Christian I fear the wrath of God that will be put upon this nation. A nation who has time and again rejected Him, all in the name of an unholy liberal agenda.

You arrogantly believe that redistribution of wealth is something new to be tried. In reality it has been tried and tried again under the rule of other despots and ungodly governments throughout history. You arrogantly believe that you have all the answers and that the mistakes made by them won't be made by you. Laughable really, in your utter insanity.

Albert Einstein once stated, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results."

And on the utilitarian side Margaret Thatcher stated; "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money."

How are you going to continue to pay for your irresponsible agenda? By taxing people into oblivion? We fought a war in this country that had it's roots of dissent in illegal and outrageous taxation.

Impose your will on the people and you will awake a sleeping giant who will defeat you utterly.

The fact that since your vaunted Roe vs Wade has murdered nearly 50 million of our unborn citizens since it became law. Citizens who had a right to live and pursue freedom and liberty. Citizens who may have discovered the cure for cancer or aids or any of a hundred other diseases. Citizens who in God's eyes had every right to breath the air of the free born just as you and I have.

Since the beginning of the Iraq war, your abortion policies have murdered over 7 million of our children yet you scream about the 4,000 plus soldiers killed or the thousands of Iraqis who have died in their struggle for freedom. These deaths pale by comparison to the murder of our innocent unborn.

All human death is horrible, but murdering innocent unborn children is especially heinous.

The lists of your egregious acts and ungodly agenda will be written in your Book of Life. Your iniquities have been bound in heaven awaiting the day you stand before the Father to answer for them. The only saving grace you will have is to repent and through the shed blood of Jesus Christ can you have any hope of eternal life in His kingdom.

We all share in this to varying degrees either through direct action or inaction.

The Ten Commandments states "Thou Shalt Not Kill." We can argue the semantics but the true interpretation of that is "Thou shalt not murder."

There is a distinct difference between killing and murder. Know what it is? No? Perhaps you should find out.

You have told so many lies that you believe them. As vane and vile as you are, you may even believe this op-ed is about you. If the shoe fits wear it.

Believe what you will, I couldn't care less what you think.

I will end this for now. Not much more needs to be said. We know who you are and what you do.

You are my enemy and I will not bow down or grovel at your feet.
You can try to silence me or put me in jail, you can torture or persecute me, you can even take my life, but you will never take my soul.

Know this. God will reign over the wicked and evil will be vanquished forever at His bidding....not yours.

Global Warming - (Hey Joe! Send this to Pacheco*!)

Oh the weather outside is delightful,
But Pacheco and Gore are Frightful,
And since they have no place to go,
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Another Dagger in the Heart of Global Warming Advocacy

Published Nov 16, 2008, by Barbara Sowell

Last week NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) announced that this past October was the hottest October on record. Now it has been discovered that they were wrong. It turned out to be yet another glaring data error.

When GISS made the announcement last week it was shocking. All over the world were reports of unseasonal cold temperatures and record snowfalls. Even the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration registered 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month of October.
What caused this major blunder? According to the UK's
Telegraph, a detailed analysis of the GISS data found that the reason for the "freak figures" was that "scores of temperature records from Russia and elsewhere were not based on October readings at all."

Figures from the previous month had simply been carried over and repeated two months running.

When the errors were discovered by meteorologist Anthony Watts and Steve McIntyre, the GISS began to revise their figures. To compensate for the lowered temperatures in Russia, and not wanting to admit that they were wrong, the GISS claimed to have discovered a new "hotspot" in the Arctic. The only problem was that satellite images of the Arctic were telling quite a different story.

GISS claimed to have discovered a new "hotspot" in the Arctic - in a month when satellite images were showing Arctic sea-ice recovering so fast from its summer melt that three weeks ago it was 30 per cent more extensive than at the same time last year.

Finally a GISS spokesperson tried to explain the error by claiming that the GISS does not have the resources to "exercise proper quality control over the data they receive." The figures published by the GISS are "one of four data sets that the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) rely on to promote the case for global warming . . ."

GISS is run by Al Gore's "chief scientific ally, Dr. James Hanson". The Telegraph accused Dr. Hansen and GISS of making extreme claims and creating several global warming scares over the years.

Yet last week's latest episode is far from the first time Dr Hansen's methodology has been called in question. In 2007 he was forced by Mr Watts and Mr McIntyre to revise his published figures for US surface temperatures, to show that the hottest decade of the 20th century was not the 1990s, as he had claimed, but the 1930s.

As more and more scientists reject the "fact" of global warming, it becomes obvious that something needs to be done to insure accurate data. Science based upon advocacy isn't really science.

Here's a quote from Hot Air's Ed Morrissey:

The admission from GISS that they can't verify their source data when reaching to conclusions should embarrass scientists throughout the profession, as verification of data is absolutely necessary before reaching any conclusions. Without that, GISS may as well be studying the entrails of goats to make predictions about the future climate.

Hold on folks, there's more! (My previous thoughts followed by a little science.)

Global Warming...Bah humbug!

This global warming thing is getting old and me with it. Sometime ago, maybe I should say, a long time ago, when I was yet a child somewhere between the age of eight and ten, I first learned of this potential threat. I don’t remember the exact date, but I do know that President Harry Truman was in the White House. Yes, we had alarmist back then, but they did not play politics with Mother Nature and carbon footprints were never mentioned.
Although I cannot remember the precise date nor the exact source I can boil it down to either the Fall River Herald News or some popular magazine of the era; Time, Look, Life, etc. My friend Frankie also read the piece as we talked about it afterwards.

The article proclaimed that the sun was going to explode and during the years leading up to such a catastrophe the earth would experience higher temperatures. Based on the scientific calculations at the time, this event was to take place several million years in the future. With that said, I clearly remember Frankie stating, "Well if President Truman is not worried about it why should we."

So there you have it. The global warming buck did not stop at Harry Truman's desk!

Al Gore, "Get over it!" - You to Pacheco!

Now I was around nine or ten years of age when I figured out this global warming issue and that over time it became obvious that the issue was no issue at all; just a political bump in the road put out there by people who had no idea what they were doing. Today the issue is global warming. Why? Because I said so! And my name is Al Gore! And because my name is Al Gore, you must believe me! After all, I have the backing of the most corrupt organization in the world…the United Nations! If the corrupt people of the world honor me with the Nobel Peace Prize, everything I say must be taken as fact! And don’t you forget it!

So there you have it. (Here we go again.) Now we have Al Gore confessing he was wrong about global warming. What he meant to say was, “global cooling”. Or at least that’s what we’re hearing from people in the know; that can be found here: Gore Renounces Global Warming. (partial quote:"Two cheers for Al Gore on his about-face on man-made Global Warming, says SOLO Principal, Lindsay Perigo.") (Does this all sound familiar? I voted for it before I voted against it.)

Then we have another headline from someone obviously not a politician that may have been more ‘noble’ (pun intended) in his research than Al Gore was with his ‘prize’.

Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling

Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile -- the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to wipe out most of the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year's time. For all four sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn't itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

Let's hope those factors stop fast. Cold is more damaging than heat. The mean temperature of the planet is about 54 degrees. Humans -- and most of the crops and animals we depend on -- prefer a temperature closer to 70.

Historically, the warm periods such as the Medieval Climate Optimum were beneficial for civilization. Corresponding cooling events such as the Little Ice Age, though, were uniformly bad news.

Update 2/27: The graph for HadCRUT (above), as well as the linked graphs for RSS and UAH are generated month-to-month; the temperature declines span a full 12 months of data. The linked GISS graph was graphed for the months of January only, due to a limitation in the plotting program. Anthony Watts, who kindly provided the graphics, otherwise has no connection with the column. The views and comments are those of the author only.
