Welcome To China

I couldn't let this one go by...

This next one has nothing to do with China but maybe you can figure it out...

It's Not Too High A Price To Pay...if I die before you wake

[Warrantless Search Of Your Home] "...any time (day or night) without a warrant..." Huh! Ya not serious are ya?

From Politics Alabama

This isn’t an academic question or a scholarly query for education concerning the 4th amendment. Most people would say that, barring exigent circumstances, warrantless searches of your home are unconstitutional. Would you say that?

You would be wrong… sort of.

In your home, do you have a wireless router, cordless phone, remote car-door opener, baby monitor, or cell phone? If you do, then the FCC claims the right to enter your home at any time (day or night) without a warrant in order to inspect it.

“Anything using RF energy — we have the right to inspect it to make sure it is not causing interference,” says FCC spokesman David Fiske. That includes devices like Wi-Fi routers that use unlicensed spectrum, Fiske says.

Granted the right hasn’t been exercised much and hasn’t been tested in court, but they do claim this power.

You see, the Communications Act of 1934 supposedly gives them this power, though the Constitutional issues of warrantless searches of homes hasn’t yet been tested in court.

Those of you tempted to blame PresBo for this, not so fast. This has been the official FCC policy for many years, it’s just recently become public knowledge. They can show up at any time and demand entry. If you refuse, you are subject to massive fines totaling thousands of dollars.

It is a policy that is blatantly unconstitutional, and runs contrary to everything this country is supposed to stand for. Now that it has become public knowledge, PresBo needs to instruct the head of the FCC to scrap the policy in favor of something more likely to survive Constitutional muster.

Tea Party commercial by an Alabama teenager...
I asked Justin if he could help me make a commercial for my group's Tea Party. He sat down at the laptop for about an hour and then brought this to me and asked "is this okay, Mom?" After I finished watching it, my stomach was in my throat. Everyone that I have sent it to has really enjoyed it so I wanted my friends to see it. I am so proud! Enjoy!

Having A Hard Time? ...some good advice ... From someone who has been there and done that!

How To Prepare For Hard Times

(Image from operationmilitarykids.org)

If everyone is not asking this question right now, they should be. One thing we can be sure of is that hard times are ahead. The government is printing money like crazy, which will bring inflation. At the same time, people are losing jobs, so incomes are down. The hostile parts of the world seem to think the U.S. is weak now, and are showing signs of defiance and aggression. There could be war - many wars - in our future. Attacks on the U.S. may be more likely. The foolish will not prepare, but the wise will. But how? And who can best tell us? Probably 2 groups: those who have been there. And those with a good track record of dealing with disasters.

Personally, I have a few slender qualifications. I remember the Great Depression very well, and how many of us managed. And also the shortages and inflation of the following WWII years, and how we managed then. Also, my training as an economist gives some depth. As a former investor, I did duck out of the stock market just ahead of the last crash. And I did learn how to help some 5000 poor or homeless people move up, over 18 years of starting and running charities. Beyond that, I can only summarize some suggestions from some of the better experts out there. Here then, is my summary, for whatever use it may be:

1. Hold on to your savings!

If you are in the stock market through 401Ks or whatever, this is not a good time to be there. Stock market experts expect some bear-market "bounces" (translation: a very temporary uptick in the market). These are a good time to sell your equities. Bonds? Get some expert advice first. The U.S. is flooding the market with U.S. bonds, with world-wide effects. Could you lose money or pay penalties if you get out of your stock investments? You alone will have to decide whether it would be worth losing some in order to preserve any of your savings at all. There may not be many future opportunities to get out with at least some of your savings intact.

Where to re-invest? Banks (ordinary deposit banks, not investment banks) are insured by the government, up to $250,000 per account. They don't pay much interest, but your savings are safe. Bank CDs pay a bit more, and can be "laddered" (example: bought at times that will cause some of them to mature every month or quarter, etc.) for those who need to live on the interest. Gold coins are a good investment. Keep them in a bank deposit box, not at your home. Paper investments are a risk. Investment in commodities (but not real estate for the present) are not likely to become worth zero. Investments should be liquid (easily and quickly sold, or in cash or near-cash.)

2. Protect you and yours from theft and crime.

Police departments will be cut. Crimes will rise. In the Great Depression, crime rates stayed low. But that was because, compared to now, there was almost no crime before the Depression. Now, however, crime rates are already high. They can be expected to get worse. Tighten up your home security. Do not keep valuables there. You should have a gun, but only if you get trained in how to use it and to keep it safe. Train yourself and family in how to be safe personally, whether at home or away. Consider living in a small town if you can. Crime rates are usually much lower there.

3. Cut your spending severely.

Pretend you have lost your job, for instance. Then cut your spinding about in half. That is severe, but not nearly as severe as it would be if you actually lost your job! So pretend now and sock the money away. How? Maybe move to a much cheaper residence. It would help if there were room to have a vegetable garden, maybe some chickens. Maybe sell your new car and get a good older car. Sell your 2nd car. Arrange car pools, etc. Stop buying clothes. Stop buying almost everything! Entertain yourself at home.

Don't wait! The purpose of this is to start putting money away as soon as you can, in case you lose your job or have to take a pay cut. And if those don't get you, the coming inflation will mean your future income will not go as far. Start now!

Your new motto: "make do, patch it, mend it, fix it, use it up, wear it out." That was the Great Depression motto. It works. Clothes were passed from kid to kid, from family member to other family members. So were dishes, furniture, etc.

4. Get as much additional income as you can right now, while you still can. Right now it may be possible to get an extra job or sell services like yard care in addition to your main job. It will be hard on you, but later on, those extra jobs will be very scarce. And it will bring in more money for your to save.

5. If unemployed, take ANY JOB YOU CAN GET. Part-time, menial, anything that is not illegal, immoral or harmful to your health. Even if it does not pay enough to live on. You are better off with some money coming in than with zero money coming in. And you can always be looking out for better work, better deals. The important thing is to have at least some income. And you will feel better having at least some work.

6. Sell everything you can possibly do without. Sell it now, not later. Now there will be more people to buy, and at higher prices. Later on, when depression and inflation are worse, not so many. Try eBay, Craig's list, yard sales, garage sales, Amazon.com used books. Sock the money away.

7. Start a vegetable garden. And plant some fruit trees. This looks like a long depression, so you may have time to wait for them to start bearing fruit. During the Great Depression, most of the U.S. lived in towns of less than 5,000 people. There were many vegetable gardens. We had a big one in a vacant lot next door, shared with the family on the other side. We also had a tiny, 2-atory barn and barnyard, attached to a chicken house and chicken yard, at the back of the small lot of our rented house. (Most people did not own their homes then.) We kept a milk cow there and her calf. The annual calf was slaugtered and stored as cuts of beef for us by a freeze-locker business in town. We had about a gallon of fresh milk a day. My dad would stake the cow out, using a long rope, using a vacant lot as a pasture for her, before he left for work. He would bring her home when he came back at night. My sister and I turned the handle of the churn to make butter. We had plenty of fresh eggs, and chicken once a week. Surplus chickens were frozen as "fryers" (6 months old) in our commercial freeze-locker downtown. At that time, there were no home freezers, and very few electric refrigerators. We had an ice-box, built like a refrigerator but with an wooden door, and an ice man delivered blocks of ice for it. A tree in the back yard provided cherries. Mother canned surplus vegetables in jars. It all helped, and helped us stay healthy as well as well-fed.

8. Do all you can to protect your and your family's health. Most of us already know what to do. Eat right. Sleep enough. Exercise. Drop bad habits. No sweets (sugar means tooth cavities.) For most of us, lose weight. Read up on staying healthy. You won't be able to afford risking bad health.

9. Get out of debt and stay out. Don't borrow money. Close your credit cards. Buy only what you have cash-on-hand to pay for. Any debt you have increases your financial danger.

10. Get what good financial advice you can - carefully. When I invested in the stock market, I subscribed to a few stock market newsletters. The best one was from Martin Weiss. It was through his advice that I got out of the stock market just before the last crash. You may have seen him on TV or when he testifies before Congress, or have read his interviews in the Washington Post or Business Week. He was one of the few to predict this Meltdown and when it would happen accurately. He has a free newsletter as well as a subscription one, which I can recommend.* Also his new best-seller, "The Ultimate Depression Survival Guide " ** His credentials for giving disaster advice are excellent.

These people probably vote.

Addendum: I took the liberty to take the description from the site this video was taken from and place it here as proof positive that if in fact "the world hates us", it is due to the complete ignorance of the people that claim the world hates us because of our alleged defective foreign policies or President Bush or Republicans or our military.

And, one day I am going to meet Stix face to face and more than likely kick him right square in both shins. Not because I am angry that he placed this video here but because I spewed perfectly good coffee all over my monitor.

From the video web site: (and I did take the "liberty" to correct (and high light) the SPELLING errors of (eroncoelho)

So what if they don't know how many sides a triangle have? Or who Tony Blair is? That is not fair...just because their [P]resident is as intelligent as a door, it doe[s]n't mean they're all like that...if you still think [A]merican people are stupi[d], watch this video and change your mind :)

Yeah, you idiot...use spell check next time, you moron. Just in case the spelling errors are corrected on the site, I have added a screen shot below to prove my point. The video was posted in 2007. Dear moron: if you are going to post something showing how stupid people are, at least take the time to show that you are not even more stupid than the people depicted in the video. Stupid Brit stepchild.

Other than that, the video does show REALLY STUPID people in this country. EVERY man I served with knew ALL of the answers to the questions asked of American people and these people called "us" stupid people with guns? Bite me.

Quote of the day...which makes them idiot savants! Oh no, not Joe too!

"I've come to believe that the Obama crowd is naive to the point of stupidity. They are very intelligent, mind you...But intelligent people are often deeply stuck in their fix-the-world fantasies, which makes them idiot savants.
These people have never accomplished anything but suckering the voters --- and each other...
They seem to have no concept of the economy... making Monopoly money and forcing energy-using corporations to pay for it. They have no concept of productive investment compared to a wild spending spree on feel-good ideas, or on kickbacks to their buddies in Chicago." Read more here...[link]

And wouldn't ya know over at Pundit & Pundette they just happen to add a little commentary to enhance today's quote... (fitting !!! see below)

Joe Biden, idiot savant

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But his knack for occasionally nailing an inconvenient truth is downright uncanny:

Speaking to reporters on the final day of his tour of the Balkans, Vice President Joe Biden acknowledged the administration still hasn’t figured out what to do with all the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay but predicted that it will still meet its deadline of closing the prison within a year. “I think so,” Biden said, when asked about the January 2010 deadline. “But, look, what the president said is that this is going to be hard. It’s like opening Pandora’s Box. We don’t know what’s inside the box.”
We're sure it's not good. But hey, he warned us before the election to gird our loins.

According to a book yet to be released, Biden's special brand of eloquence can be a "distraction" for Obama, who has to "rebuke" Joe from time to time:
President Obama is so "distracted by his vice president's indiscipline" that he has been forced to rebuke privately Vice President Joe Biden, according to a new book by Newsweek journalist Richard Wolffe, who interviewed Obama a dozen times. "He can't keep his mouth shut," Wolffe quotes a "senior Obama aide" as saying of the gaffe-prone Biden in "Renegade: The Making of a President," set for release June 2.
How I'd love to be a fly on the wall watching the Obama/Biden tragicomedy unfold.

Oil...Where to find it!

Chinese Hoarders 'are causing oil price boom'

THE big rally in the oil price in recent weeks is down to Chinese stockpiling, a leading energy industry analyst has claimed.

Oil industry experts Bernstein Research say they have been spying on the world's third-largest economy and have concluded China is actively hoarding supplies.

After the spectacular crash in the crude price last year following an all-time high of $147 a barrel, oil has soared again this year, up 70% since mid-January. In the past four weeks, the oil price has jumped 25% to trade around the $60-a-barrel level again.

Energy analysts have been scratching their heads for a reason, other than the recent dollar weakness which always pushes up the value of crude.

Analysts have argued that global demand remains weak, the Saudi-led cartel of major oil producers Opec has not cut production as deeply as it might and output from non-Opec countries is robust.

But according to Bernstein's Neil McMahon: "If the supply/demand balance is not driving higher oil prices, then what is?

"We believe that increased imports into China could be part of the explanation.

McMahon says Chinese imports spiked in March and April and the country's storage levels have reached a new peak.

"We believe [the rise in the oil price] reflects not strengthening demand, but rather China's efforts to boost its strategic petroleum reserve," he said. "To verify this we have utilised satellite tracking of tanker movements, as well as time-lapse satellite images to observe the amount of storage expansion.

"Our analysis confirms that tanker capacity arrivals into China have spiked up in recent months, in line with imports, but more importantly, tanker arrivals into the ports [holding strategic reserves] have increased materially.

"Satellite images confirm a significant increase in storage construction in the last few years. This suggests that China is stockpiling crude oil.

"This recent drive by the Chinese to fill their reserves should have offered some support to crude prices and will continue to do so going forward."

Obama, "We're out of money now." ...Now I wonder how that could be ...who would have known?

'WE'RE OUT OF MONEY'
Sat May 23 2009 10:32:18 ET [from the Drudge Report]

In a sobering holiday interview with C-SPAN, President Obama boldly told Americans: "We are out of money."

C-SPAN host Steve Scully broke from a meek Washington press corps with probing questions for the new president.

SCULLY: You know the numbers, $1.7 trillion debt, a national deficit of $11 trillion. At what point do we run out of money?

OBAMA: Well, we are out of money now. We are operating in deep deficits, not caused by any decisions we've made on health care so far. This is a consequence of the crisis that we've seen and in fact our failure to make some good decisions on health care over the last several decades.

So we've got a short-term problem, which is we had to spend a lot of money to salvage our financial system, we had to deal with the auto companies, a huge recession which drains tax revenue at the same time it's putting more pressure on governments to provide unemployment insurance or make sure that food stamps are available for people who have been laid off.

So we have a short-term problem and we also have a long-term problem. The short-term problem is dwarfed by the long-term problem. And the long-term problem is Medicaid and Medicare. If we don't reduce long-term health care inflation substantially, we can't get control of the deficit.

So, one option is just to do nothing. We say, well, it's too expensive for us to make some short-term investments in health care. We can't afford it. We've got this big deficit. Let's just keep the health care system that we've got now.

Along that trajectory, we will see health care cost as an overall share of our federal spending grow and grow and grow and grow until essentially it consumes everything...

SCULLY: When you see GM though as “Government Motors,” you're reaction?

OBAMA: Well, you know – look we are trying to help an auto industry that is going through a combination of bad decision making over many years and an unprecedented crisis or at least a crisis we haven't seen since the 1930's. And you know the economy is going to bounce back and we want to get out of the business of helping auto companies as quickly as we can. I have got more enough to do without that. In the same way that I want to get out of the business of helping banks, but we have to make some strategic decisions about strategic industries...

SCULLY: States like California in desperate financial situation, will you be forced to bail out the states?

OBAMA: No. I think that what you're seeing in states is that anytime you got a severe recession like this, as I said before, their demands on services are higher. So, they are sending more money out. At the same time, they're bringing less tax revenue in. And that's a painful adjustment, what we're going end up seeing is lot of states making very difficult choices there...

SCULLY: William Howard Taft served on the court after his presidency, would you have any interest in being on the Supreme Court?

OBAMA: You know, I am not sure that I could get through Senate confirmation...

"...unable to comprehend, to really grasp, what is about to happen to this country and to the world." Why? Everything still looks so normal!

From Gerry Phelps

Trying to Grasp the Coming Disaster

(Image from mises.org)

There is a strange reason I have not posted for a month. I have simply been unable to comprehend, to really grasp, what is about to happen to this country and to the world. It has not been from lack of trying. I spend my days reading, researching, probing into what is coming and why. But it scarcely seems real.

Why? Everything still looks so normal! I look out over the city and nothing seems to have changed. Yet I know it is coming, and already partly here. It has been something like being on a coast and awaiting a tsuname wave that is coming within an hour. It might not seem real, because everything would look so normal while we wait. We would look around at the streets and houses, and try to comprehend that what we were looking at would shortly be replaced by smashed houses floating in swirling water. We might even know that afterward, it would be hard to imagine the "normal" that we had been seeing before the disaster. But before it fully arrived, it would not seem real. Just as now there is a comprehension gap, even though so much of the future is becoming clear. I suspect many are struggling, as I am, to really believe all that is happening. It keeps coming, faster and faster.

(Image from Drexel.edu)

Not that it's the end of the world. But it is the end of an era, the end of living as we have, and likely the end of the U.S. as we have known it. For all the world, a Great Depression. Most countries will suffer more than we will. In the U.S., add inflation to the mix of falling incomes and unemployment. With our national debt finally coming due, the government will no longer be able to borrow its way out of trouble. Retirement, medical care, all government programs are at risk. And there is more, much more.

Then there is the swelling effect on world security. The Pax Americana is being challenged, and if we continue cutting the military - now at the lowest percentage of national income in 60 years - and standing back from every provocation, there soon will be more wars in the world. Our own security is also under new challenges.

As things develop, I will try to do better at posting regularly. Grasping the seriousness and shape of our new landscape will be all too unavoidable soon enough. No time left for feelings of unreality.

Memorial Day
an apology withdrawn!

marilyn barnewall MEMORIAL DAY AND AN APOLOGY WITHDRAWN

By Marilyn M. Barnewall
May 25, 2009

It is obvious to me that Barack Obama has little regard for the military… and no, I won’t call him “President” until I see a real, honest-to-God birth certificate or see which nation’s Passport he used while traveling abroad as a college student. Was it American, British, or Kenyan? Neither document is difficult to produce.

He is just a young man and doesn’t seem to this old woman to be very wise… or even very aware of which citizens from which nation provided him the power he now wields so carelessly around the world.

To my European friends, I say the following:

A man who carries the official title of President of the United States recently came to your continent and made apologies for American arrogance. I ask that you accept that apology as coming from the man, not the nation. I, personally, feel no sense of obligation to offer you an apology for the energetic American entrepreneurial spirit… something about which you seem to have little understanding – which is probably why you prefer socialism to capitalism.

You have my apologies for the behavior of the man who calls himself this nation’s President. On any given day, more Americans oppose his condescending behavior than approve it. He and his wife may not be proud of America. We, the people, are.

Memorial Day is special to us. This day, Americans honor heroes who died in our nation’s service – and our European friends should honor them, too. So many American men died in service on European soil.

On May 5, 1868, General John Logan (as in Denver’s Fort Logan where my Dad served in WWII) proclaimed the existence of Memorial Day in General Order No. 11.

Graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery were first decorated on May 30, 1868.

Southern women decorated the graves of Confederate soldiers even before the War Between the States ended in 1865.

In 1873, the state of New York first officially recognized this holiday. By 1890, all Northern states recognized Memorial Day. The South honored their dead on different dates until after World War I.

It was then Memorial Day was changed to honor all soldiers who died in service of our country rather than those who died just during the War Between the States… or, as some call it, the Civil War.

Because of all the above, I found Barack Obama’s apologies to European nations for American arrogance to be particularly offensive. Arrogant men do not tread the shores of foreign nation and die for a cause called “freedom.” Arrogant men do, however, minimize such efforts… and even apologize for them. Perhaps men who have not served their nation via military service do not understand such things. Being a military man is quite different than being a community organizer, I guess.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If that be true, then I offer the following 20,000 words to explain why no apology from American to Europeans is necessary.

Article continues after the pictures.

This partial count… those American soldiers buried at these European cemeteries – and that’s not all of them – totals 104,366. And then, we have Arlington and all of the other veterans’ cemeteries around America and Europe where our WWII (and WWI) veterans are buried.

Who owes whom an apology and for what? Maybe Europeans should apologize to Americans for not managing their governments well enough to avoid having to call on the United States to shed the blood of its youth on foreign soil?

I keep trying to think of things done for Americans by Europeans… and I know I’m getting old, but it is difficult to bring anything to mind.

You tell me who is arrogant!

Exclusive: A Letter to Rupert Murdoch on the Obama Birth Certificate Question

John D. Hemenway, Esq.

Editor’s note: The following is a letter written by John D. Hemenway, Esq. that was sent to NewsCorp CEO Rupert Murdoch via certified mail.

May 14, 2009

Dear Rupert,

You will likely not have retained a clear memory of me from Worcester College in the early fifties. Much time has elapsed from when we both read “P.P.E.” under Asa Briggs and the others. I had looked forward to cementing our friendship when the death of your father caused you simply to “disappear” from those at Worcester.

Much later, during several visits to my Washington, D.C. home, my moral tutor, David Mitchell, filled me in on the magnificent assistance you provided the College. Perhaps you also had something to do with the “Mitchell Building” erected just off Walton Street.

Everyone who shares your views is pleased at the nearly unprecedented success story you have made of your life. I was very pleased when you became an American, even if some persons attributed your motivation as calculated to expand your economic interests. Pure jealousy! You and your accomplishments have been good for us all.

From time to time, I try to keep up with interesting details concerning your news empire. From that reading, I am certain you and I have many opinions in common. I subscribe to the N.Y. Post, which one can acknowledge is “tabloidish,” but describes real N.Y. City life and the Post’s editorial staff certainly offers solid opinions pertaining to U.S. governmental problems. “Fox News” also makes an outstanding contribution to public awareness of the issues confronting the country.

You may recall the vital contribution Worcester’s Provost John Masterman made to the winning of WWII; he was a key figure, as I remember, in organizing the counter-espionage effort against the Nazis. I write you now concerning a problem nearly of that magnitude.

Rupert Murdoch, Chairman, N.Y. Post
1211 Avenue of the America
New York, N.Y. 10036

That problem is this: the man now occupying the White House is likely Constitutionally unqualified to hold the office. As an adopted American, you will have studied the U.S. Constitution better than many Americans, and from P.P.E. studies know that the Constitution has flexible clauses and hard, literal clauses. One of the latter is the requirement of Article II, Section 1, which states: “No person except a natural-born citizen…shall be eligible to the Office of the President.”

There are indications that Obama cannot meet that requirement. As an attorney, I facilitated a lawsuit (Hollister vs. Soetoro et al.) in the United States District Court (D.C. Circuit) demanding that Obama produce his birth certificate or satisfactory substitute evidence. There are about 20 similar lawsuits across the nation. In my case, U.S. District Court Judge Robertson (a Clinton appointee), who summarily dismissed the case, and is rumored to be seeking an Obama appointment, wrote that Obama’s eligibility had been “blogged, texted, twittered, and otherwise massaged by America’s vigilant citizenry.” In other words, he accepted internet “blogs” in lieu of actual evidence.

He ordered me to “show cause” why I should not be sanctioned for promotion of a “frivolous” lawsuit. (It is significant that, although dismissed, none of the twenty odd similar legal actions have been designated by the responsible judge as “frivolous.”)

Other lawsuits have usually been dismissed for “lack of standing” including a lawsuit brought by Presidential candidate, Ambassador Alan Keyes. If anyone has standing, it is an actual Presidential contender. I provided Judge Robertson 37 pages of explanation as to “why I should not be held in contempt” and he decided to “reprimand” me instead of his threatened sanctions. That case is now under appeal.

Any rational person with even partial knowledge of the facts must know that Obama-cum-Soetoro is desperate to conceal something he does not want known. I believe he is hiding the fact that he and his campaign conspired to assert eligibility for the Presidential office to which he well may not be entitled. In other parts of the world, this would be known as a coup d’etat.

Yet, “mainstream” news services, members of officialdom, judges, including justices of the U.S. Supreme Court have all failed to demand documentation to prove or disprove Obama’s qualifications to serve in the White House.

It is as if a 53% vote is a substitute for an actual determination of the legal qualifications of Obama to be President. It is also evident that consequential people in America all believe the “vetting” of qualifications to be a presidential candidate should have been someone else’s responsibility. Revelation of this massive collapse of the fundamentals of the electoral process (ensuring candidate eligibility) at this point would make some very important people look hopelessly incompetent and inept.

Sadly, that includes your “Fox News.” There are reports that top management of Fox instructed its commentators to stay away from the subject – a strange position for a service that deservedly won a reputation for “fair and balanced” reporting. I cannot believe that you would issue such an order, with your good sense. Was it Roger Ailes or someone else? When I worked with Accuracy in Media (AIM) several decades ago, news manipulation by Ailes never filled the staff with confidence. On May 1, Sean Hannity referred to Ailes as his “boss!”

It is also disturbing that a report circulates that a Saudi national who bought enough stock to win a seat on the board of Fox’s parent company, a Saudi prince, asked you to stop Fox from referring to Muslim youth unrest as “Muslim” riots – he boasted later at a conference in Dubai, that after a phone call to you, thirty minutes later, Fox removed the banner from the bottom of its screen, “Muslim” riots. Given this revelation, many FOX devotees are wondering why the eligibility issue has been ignored by your network.

This constitutional question is one of vital importance to the U.S. It is not as if we wanted to startle our contemporaries with actions calculated to stir up our contemporaries as you once did at Worcester with your bust of Lenin. Or as I did when ruffling feathers of our stuffy dean (who guarded the door of “his” library from allowing anyone actually to touch one of his rare books). After you left for Australia to tend to family problems, I hung a huge American flag from the windows of the Nuffield Building on the 4th of July. The dean’s order (conveyed to me by my scout) still rings in my ears, “Take that damn thing down!”

The “natural-born” clause in our Constitution is a rigid, not a flexible clause. In that respect, it is analogous to the banning of “cruel or unusual” punishments, a clause dear to the hearts of our founding fathers. They certainly heard tales from their grandfathers drawn directly from English experience of ingenious cruelties accompanying the crime of “Regicide” after “dictator” Oliver Cromwell died peacefully in his bed. The fact that the English could not devise a way to govern themselves without inviting the king back may suggest that you modify somewhat your prediction (which I read somewhere) that this will be the last British generation that will live under a monarchy! I recall the first review of my educational “progress” at term’s end in “Hall” at Worcester when David Mitchell described my understanding of English history as limited to “King John was a bad king!”
Since you are now an American, and a good one, too, I have no doubt that you will seek to support the Constitution every way you think wise. Consider that, having won election on a campaign that promised “openness and transparency,” Obama now has spent close to $1 million for concealment of his birth and academic records, which are the only means to prove his eligibility. A birth certificate would cost less than $20.00 to request from the State of Hawaii.

Obama has produced no documents at all that would support his claim to eligibility to office. Is it no longer responsible to claim that “the public has a right to know the truth?” Moreover, even if born in Hawaii, as he claims, Obama’s travel to Pakistan (when Americans reportedly were banned from travel there) in 1981 raises other, complicated issues.

Why did his supporters produce a misleading “certification of live birth” instead of an actual vault birth certificate? Forensic experts have testified that the Certification of Live Birth is a forgery; written on a laser printer, when such printers were not available in 1961.

This evokes shades of Richard Nixon’s problems with typewriters (not just once, re: Alger Hiss; but a second time, when Nixon was caught back-dating documents for the I.R.S.) It makes me proud that in his secret tapes, Nixon referred to me, saying, “Fire the son-of-a-bitch, he’s done this before!” – a reference to my testimony before the Senate against incompetent or dishonest Nixon appointees, such as Helmut Sonnenfeldt (known locally as “Kissinger’s Kissinger) who failed confirmation as Deputy Secretary of Treasury because of my testimony before the Senate Finance Committee.

I also testified against the first “career” foreign service officer ever to fail confirmation in the 182 year history of the U.S. Senate: Howard Mace, who was Director of Personnel of the Department of State, who lost his appointment as Ambassador to Sierra Leone. Senate testimony may ultimately prove useful in this Obama matter, despite the composition of the Congress at this time.

Nixon’s firing order directly led me to study law at Howard University, the prestigious largely African-American University in Washington, D.C. Nixon’s denunciation of me, in fact, boosted me in the eyes of the Dean at Howard and got me to this point.

In conclusion, I can tell you this as fact. America badly needed your brilliant creation: Fox News. But if Fox News really is to be a voice for rational conservatism in the United States, it cannot ignore this vital constitutional question: We have a man occupying the White House who refuses to disclose the very documents that would legitimate his Presidency. Was it not a cover-up that undid Richard Nixon? Please instruct your personnel from Roger Ailes on down that they are encouraged (not forbidden) to report all of the news, including that pertaining to Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.

With best regards, your supporter, friend, and admirer,

Some employees are simply irreplaceable. ...Oh?

Replacing Michelle Obama...

Courtesy of Ernie Wass

At the top right-hand corner of Page 17 of the New York Post’s January 24th, 2009 edition, was a short column entitled Replacing Michelle" in the National Review’s "The Week" column. This is very interesting, so here it is, word-for-word, as it appeared:

Some employees are simply irreplaceable. Take Michelle Obama... the University of Chicago Medical Center (UCMC) hired her in 2002 to run "programs for community relations, neighborhood outreach, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity and minority

contracting."

In 2005, the hospital raised her salary from $120,000 to $317,000 – nearly twice what her

husband made as a U.S. Senator. Oh, did we mention that her husband had just become a U.S. Senator? He sure did. Indeed, he requested a $1 million earmark for the University of Chicago Medical Center. Way to network Michelle!

But now that Mrs. Obama has resigned, the hospital says her position will remain unfilled. How can that be? If the work she did was vital enough to be worth $317,000? We can think of only one explanation... Senator Roland Burris' wife wasn't interested in the job. Let me add that Michelle's position was a part-time, 20-hour-a-week-job.

Our thoughts: How did this bit of quid-pro-quo corruption escape the sharp reporters that dug through Sarah Palin’s garbage and Kindergarten records...

"I'm telling you now... We have reached the point of no return"

This commentary from:

February 19, 2009

In the summer of 2005, I told my husband we had to sell our house and get out of California. I told him the housing market was going to blow sky high. John wasn't ready to retire and who likes to move? Then, he was diagnosed with cancer, so plans were put on hold. At the time, we owned a home in Natomas Park (Sacramento), which was ranked the number one planned development community in the U.S. around 2002-2004. I finally convinced John we had to get our house on the market. I came out here to Texas and bought this home in Texas in June 2006.

We didn't use our home as an ATM machine and were very lucky to sell it in September 2006. The rest of the dozens of homes within a few blocks of ours continued to sit on the market. John did retire as he could no longer work; we knew that was coming. He just had to hang on long enough out in Sacramento to get the house sold, closed and join me here in Texas.

The house across the street from ours sold in June 2005 for $405,000. Same floor plan as ours and square feet. Today it is appraised at $235,000. The house across the street on the other side of the aforementioned one sold for $655,000 (5 bdrm job) in July 2005. Today it is appraised at $319,000. The house we sold is now worth $190,000 less today than the day we closed escrow. Those owners will never be able to sell for what they paid. They'll either live there until they die or walk away.

Half of that highly desirable housing area is in foreclosure; auctions are twice a week. Had I not pushed John to get that house on the market and sold, we would still be in it and California where the taxpayers are being raped by their legislature in massive taxes to support some 8 MILLION illegals. Kissed and blessed by the movie "star," Arnie.

I'm telling you now as I have in my columns, writings and speeches for more than 15 years: We have reached the point of no return. We knew this was coming. It is here. What we're seeing right now coming out of Washington is an extension of the Fascism the Republican controlled Congress shoved down our throats for the 14 years they had power. The Democrats, who have had "power" since January 2007, in collusion with the impostor president, are moving us past socialism to pure communism and world government. Learn what these forms of goverment mean so you can recognize what is happening.

This is raw reality.

BIG trouble is coming down the pipeline at hyper speed right along with hyper inflation. No amount of words from professional politicans can change the numbers.

Those who continue to ignore the screaming red flags are going to suffer worse than if they took all steps possible to protect their assets. Trillions in pension funds are now at risk. I talked about this on my radio show recently. This is what the career politicans in Washington, DC, that keep getting elected over and over and over have allowed to escalate while they play their stupid political party games:

Little-known agency that insures pensions of 44 million workers braces for recession fallout

By DEB RIECHMANN Associated Press Writer
February 16, 2009
WASHINGTON (AP) — The deepening recession spells trouble for a little-known government corporation that insures the pensions of 44 million workers and retirees.

"The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. already has an $11 billion deficit that seems sure to grow larger as Corporate America suffers through the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. With companies reporting shortfalls in their pension funds, it's all but certain that the PBGC will be forced to take over the pension plans of a rising number of bankrupt businesses.

"That means more red ink at the corporation before things possibly can improve. The future financial health of the agency is hard to forecast. It is hinged on interest rates, the length of the recession and the PBGC's own luck in playing the market, where it has billions invested.

"The agency has $63 billion in assets. But it is obligated to spend $74 billion on pension benefits in the coming years. The PBGC might have time to rebound, but over the long term it might become insolvent and require a bailout."

Bailout with what? The people's treasury is overdrawn almost $11 TRILLION dollars with debt for obligations of close to $72 TRILLION dollars. Have you fainted yet? You can only put so much air into a bubble before it bursts.

The impostor president, Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka and so forth is going down over the citizenship issue. It's just a matter of time. There will be no change except some of the worst times this nation has faced since the "Great Depression." What Obama is doing is what FDR did. FDR with his toxic programs prolonged the depression:

http://home.hiwaay.net/%7Ebecraft/GreatDepression.pdf

Today on FOX News Network the new unemployment figure is 8.8%. That is misleading. It's much higher, but deception is what is being force fed to the American people. It will get much worse. There were 2.8 MILLION forclosures last year. If the 7 - 9 MILLION toxic mortgates is accurate, the situation is far, far worse than we thought.

This is 1933 Germany and the outlook is dire to put it mildly. Empty bellies make for angry mobs.

On September 25, 2008, I wrote a column titled: 'Bailouts: the wound that will keep on hemorrhaging.'

The patient is on the table bleeding to death. The "bail outs" and the MASSIVE back door tax increase (gang rape) called the stimulus package just passed will take America into a depression. Make no mistake about it because it IS underway. Some say within six months, others with decades of experience in the financial markets give us 18 months at the outside.

I encourage you to visit El Dorado Gold's web site and acquire gold. I'm not selling anything. I'm trying to help Americans understand history because it is now repeating itself.

January 5, 2009:

According to a recent Bloomberg report:

"The U.S. economy probably lost more jobs in 2008 than in any year since the end of World War II as firings rippled from homebuilders and automakers to banks and retailers, a government report may show this week.

"Payrolls fell 500,000 in December, bringing last year’s decline to 2.4 million, the most since 1945, according to the median estimate of economists surveyed by Bloomberg News ahead of Labor Department figures due Jan. 9. The unemployment rate likely jumped to the highest level since 1993."

That we are entering a depression is a fact that cannot be denied and nothing can stop it. Not phony "stimulus" packages or creating more government jobs that produce nothing. The American people must focus spending their consumer dollars with American companies and do whatever you can to protect your assets while we suffer through the next few years.

Millions of Americans have seen their 401(k)s that the "experts" said would be fine, plummet. As much as two or three years worth of on the job wages contributed, now gone forever. Millions of Americans who planned to retire have found themselves in such dire straights from the looting the past four months, they have to stay on the job. Those "golden years" have been stolen from them by a corrupt government and corrupt private corporations.

If only there was something good to report, but there isn't. Reality is here and now and it isn't pretty. The portrait will get much uglier by the end of the first quarter of this year. The so-called "stimulus" package being proposed for $1 trillion dollars that does not exist will be $2 trillion by the time the interest is paid to the private Federal Reserve Banking System.

Does that make any sense to you? These crooks in DC will borrow a trillion bux to "give" to voters who in turn owe twice the amount back to the central bank and their stockholders in interest.

TAKING DOWN THE GREAT ALINSKYITE

Posted by Jesse "The Mind" Norman on Monday, May 25, 2009 9:00:00 AM

In my last blog I laid out the case that Obama isn't really an ideological politician. He is about an all-consuming power grab. Alinsky's book "Rules For Radicals" isn't only a step by step rulebook to accumulate power in order to bring about social change, but it is also really about accumulating power to the point it will not be lost. While Alinsky's intentions were for marxism to bring about "social justice", it can be used to do with whatever the person who accumulates that power feels like doing with it. This is all about power. Ideology restricts too much of the audience. Ideology can come later. Ideology has to be put aside until that power is accumulated. With our Consititution, the people have to give that power away willfully. That is happening right now. Obama is out to break people into blocks of voters. That is why he is still campaigning. He's turning people into blocks of voters and then conquering enough of them to keep him in power. That's why he's empowering his allies such as unions, media, other minions like ACORN. He also is gathering power unto himself in an eerie game of Monopoly. The banks, auto companies, again the media, and even friendly states are powers he will bring under his umbrella. That is what Alinsky learned in Chicago, but then mastered it beyond any philosophy any Chicagoan had. Accumulate blocks of voters. Accumulate people willing to do the dirty work while you stand back and put forth a positive message for the masses. Intimidate through the minions. Blind the masses to opposing messages. For this to work nationally however, conditions must be just perfect and it would take a transformational figure to pull it off. Economic hardships. Confusion. Conglomeration of important financial institutions. America having not the brain capacity to see through anything because they do not pay attention. No matter how bad things are and no matter how much America dislikes the policies, Obama must and will continue to put his smiling face out there because that will make enough Americans secure in him. "I can't stand what he's doing with this country. Look at what this moron is doing. He's taking down what this country stands for, but I like this guy. He's such a great guy. He's like me. Look at his smile." A majority hate his policies, but yet still approve of his job. Totally incongruent. That is the mindless state of America that he is able to make them hate his policies but adore him. The nonmixture of oil and water can only be seen by the unblinded. That's where the Obama acolytes come in. Blind the masses. It worked and unless something extraordinary is done, it will continue to work. In this blog, I will lay out how to beat Obama before it's too late. I have no doubts Obama will win in 2012. I have very little doubt to the abolishment of the 22nd amendment. Too much power already and too many allies. Within four months, President Obama has already become the most powerful president in US history. Once that amendment is abolished, we will have our first dictator since the British monarchy with King George III. If a candidate and people follow by these rules, we can divert off from this trajectory. I think this is what it will take. Do not think this is impossible. Dictatorships started somehow. Follow what Hugo Chavez has done and is continuing to do, then you will see the parallels to this President is undeniable.

Facts have to be amassed as allies: One must have a good grasp of facts to counter the lies which the American people have become blinded to thinking that are real facts. They have bought into the mindset that if you tell a lie long enough, it becomes fact. Be relentless with your stating of facts. You cannot overstate facts. You MUST not understate them. McCain understated every fact he brought up. The lies are too broad and spoken of from a point of view of fact upon the blindful masses. Use facts and use them until either the people give in or look into them. Footnote your facts. Always use footnotes when presenting facts. The best footnotes to use are the ones you will find occasionally slipping through the cracks of the mainstream media or liberal outlets. Enough people know of the liberal bias and what the biggest source for bias is, so if you use facts that favor your position from them it will go a long way. Use eloquence and strength when presenting facts. Put them in a way so there is no parcing of the word. Make sure the facts are presented in a way to remove any possible question to its authenticity. The biggest enemy to a liberal happens to be the biggest enemy to Alinsky's strategy that Obama is employing. Those are facts. Bring up that the most progressive states are the states that are the most in trouble. Bring up that no experiment into socialism works. One must be relentless about stating facts, and that I cannot overstate. Pound the drum until their ears bleed. Realize what you're up against.

Confrontation is your friend: I don't mean confrontation while pulling punches. I mean let go of the restrictions of that little box you're in. Throw out in a fury as if you were Floyd Mayweather. Civility is your enemy right now. I don't mean being violent. I mean say things the way they really are. Say them with conviction. Call Obama out. To beat Obama, a person MUST call him out. Don't be afraid of the media. They'll attack you anyway. You want them to attack you, but take the battle to Obama. Call him out. Get personal. Get very personal. Don't be above the fray as Obama appears to be. He can be. You can't. Do you have minions to work your will? He does. If you call him out, he will show more of his true colors. Get under his skin. Get into his melon. Make him respond to you personally. Because of his thin skin, it won't take much. Make the people aware of Saul Alinsky and how Obama said his book was better than any class he took in Harvard. As is the case in using facts, use this relentlessly until America looks into Alinsky. This will bypass the mainstream media. Their response will be to try to paint Alinsky as a humble community organizer. Enough of the people that look into him will see him differently. If you can do this, you can render Obama's minions impotent. Enough people can then awaken to the Alinsky strategy and how Obama is using it. Speak with the anger that the people of America who are aware of what's going on has. Do not plead with tone or words like McCain did when he used his "nice guy" voice time and time again during the campaign. You cannot do that and beat this man. Be as mad as Bob Dole, but be as eloquent as Obama. That takes a special person. So far, I haven't seen anyone that fits that bill.

Attack him personally only on issues: Nothing else. The other things may be sexy to bring up, but the mainstream media will only show those attacks while ignoring the others that actually carry weight to most Americans. People should have learned during the Clinton years that no matter how bad a personal scandal may be, it has nothing to do with what is really going on. The populace gets turned off by such things, unless it happens to conservatives. That is the ugly truth, so accept it. You cannot use the same strategy and expect it to work. There are enough issues to attack this President on, and if the American people knew what the facts were they would be more apt to listen to you. Again, put them in a direct, unquestionable way. Do exactly what Dick Cheney did. Speak firmly, eloquently, and call this Alinskyite out personally. He has very thin skin. That's Obama's biggest weakness. The more anyone dares to stand up to him, the more his true self he reveals. Joe "The Plumber" asked him a simple question and Obama let it slip that he wanted to spread the wealth. All he did to make Obama mess up was ask him a direct question. Obama attacked Joe which showed an ugly side. He was supposed to let his minions do his dirty work, but his thin skin caused him to go away from his positive, Manchurian Candidate message. It's very possible and even easy to take Obama off of his game and cause him to make mistakes. Palin was able to get into Obama's head so much he flubbed up when he made that lipstick on a pig comment. You could see on his face that he was trying not to say it, but he couldn't stop himself. She didn't do much to get under the skin except she had energy and charisma. She stole a bit of his thunder. Obama was intimidated by that because he thought he was the only one that had those two things, until McCain named her his VP candidate.

Fight back at the mainstream media: I've heard people say only go on friendly media networks and outlets. I couldn't disagree with that more. Go on those minion networks, even MSNBC. But instead of being a punching bag, attack them. Attack them and call them out for their bias. Don't be afraid. Confrontation is your friend, remember. Just as you do this to the mainstream media, do the same to Obama. Go after him as if you have nothing to lose. If you want to beat him, then don't worry about possibly turning some people off. As long as you do it on issues and use facts, they will not be turned off by you. The ones that will be turned off by that are the ones that have already pledged their allegiance so there's no chance of swaying them anyway. Fight back at the moment. Don't wait until you gather a press release. Fight back right there and use examples of their bias. Put them back on their heals. Show you are not afraid to fight anyone. This will also intimidate Obama. The American populace just might see it that you are fighting for them, not yourself. Either way, they will find respect for you for standing up for yourself and the issues you are passionate about. The American people are passionate and angry. Be their representative by matching their anger when you attack Obama and fight back against the mainstream media minions. Make them understand that you understand them. Make them feel like you are fighting with their voices.

These are the things I believe that will take down this President. Only after reading Alinsky's book and studying Obama personally am I able to suggest these things. He has glaring weaknesses. Expose them and be unrelenting at attacking them. Gather those who are equally willing to say things the way they really are. Gather the strong who will not be intimidated by the acolytes. That small coalition will be big enough to take the great Alinskyite down. Do not allow attacks upon you to go unanswered. Do not try to correct misperceptions or false attacks. Let your allies do that. You answer the attack instead by going after the source of the attack personally. Expose their bias, not their lies. Let your allies expose their lies. In short, go everywhere. Make people hear you and your anger. Fight with every ounce of your strength for them. Fight with nothing to lose. Don't worry about the future. All that matters is now. For the people at Townhall, be even more vocal. Keep gathering. Don't attack personally on anything outside of an issue. Once we do that, we lose. Don't be afraid to confront anyone, but do it by using footnoted facts on issues. That's all. Their side is allowed to get away with personal attacks on nonissues. We can't. If we stick to this and realize what we're up against, we can take down the great Alinskyite. If not, then our future is very much in doubt. Power is a snowball rolling down a hill. It will only get bigger over time.
