American Oligarchy: Meet the Billionaire Mega-Donors Behind the Biden Presidency
Liberals used to decry the influence of money in politics. But in Joe Biden’s America, we have seen the rise of a noxious new generation of left-wing donors. I identify some of the biggest power players in Joe Biden’s American in my book New York Times bestselling book Breaking Biden.
Joe Biden is the quintessential oligarch. He has empowered America’s moneyed elite, and they have empowered him. Biden’s 2020 campaign was the first to raise over $1 billion. Democrats raised $600 million more in “dark money” than Republicans in 2020. Look for those numbers to explode even higher in 2024.
It is important to understand a key principle in modern Democratic politics: if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. Today, it’s Joe Biden’s table, and he’s happy to provide the entertainment.
Remember, unlike Joe Biden, all of these oligarchs are good with money. They aren’t giving away tens of millions of dollars out of the goodness of their heart. They want something in return. In each and every case, Joe Biden serves a purpose for them — maybe many purposes.
Let’s meet Joe’s billionaire cabinet:
Dustin Moskovitz (net worth: $11.6 billion)

Perhaps no other megadonor has distinguished themselves in the Biden years as much as Dustin Moskovitz, a cofounder of Facebook. He is a rising power player on this list. It wasn’t until the Biden years that Moskovitz solidified himself as one of the major power brokers on the institutional left.

Moskovitz gave roughly $50 million total in the 2020 election cycle, including $20 million to the Future Forward PAC, one of the main committees supporting Biden. Future Forward (more on this PAC below) spent more than $180 million across the 2020 and 2022 elections. Employees of Asana, Moskovitz’ current company, contributed $6.1 million in 2022. The Biden campaign recently moved to make Future Forward the campaign’s main PAC for the 2024 election, making Moskovitz and his machine an integral piece of the Democrats’ infrastructure.
Moskovitz now has the ear of the administration at a crucial time for tech policy, especially artificial intelligence. In fact, one of his organizations is already bankrolling dozens of staffers helping shape AI regulations.
Eric Schmidt (net worth: $26.2 billion)

Eric Schmidt spent 20 years heading Google and its holding company, Alphabet, holding titles like CEO and executive chairman.
The political contributions Schmidt and related organizations have made over the years have been large and numerous. Google has given more than $11 million to mostly Democrat political causes and has a $75 million lobbying record. Since its founding, Alphabet has given $59 million, again to mostly Democrats, and lobbied the government with upward of $119 million. Joe Biden was the largest recipient of this largesse during the 2020 cycle, receiving just under $4.5 million. Schmidt gave $775,000 to the Future Forward PAC, which has also been funded by other top Democrat donors from Big Tech like disgraced crypto “entrepreneur” Sam Bankman-Fried ($10 million) and Facebook’s Dustin Moskovitz ($91.78 million).
Schmidt left the Alphabet in 2020 and has turned his focus to his philanthropic foundation, Schmidt Futures, which paid the salaries for two employees in Joe Biden’s Office of Science and Technology Policy. This raised ethics concerns, as there were “a large number of staff with financial connections to Schmidt Futures,” according to the office’s then general counsel Rachel Wallace.

Schmidt helps fund the A.I. tech companies Abacus.AI and Civis Analytics, which aided Democrat campaigns, including Biden’s 2020 effort to target voters.
When Democrats use A.I. to try to ensure victory in 2024 (and they will), pay attention to who is behind those efforts. I’ll bet big money on Schmidt.
Jeffrey Katzenberg (net worth: $900 million)

Despite being the instigator of Hollywood’s decline (as thoroughly documented in Breaking Biden), Joe Biden has avoided the ire of the entertainment establishment. In fact, he continues to bag mountains of their cash. In the summer of 2020, Jeffrey Katzenberg and George Clooney held a virtual event for Biden and his vice-presidential running mate Kamala Harris that charged $100,000 per ticket. The following week, Tom Hanks held a fundraising event for Biden. By late August, Katzenberg had held events for Biden that had raised a reported $13 million that election cycle. In May 2023, Katzenberg told the Financial Times that he would pledge Biden “all the resources” he needs to win reelection in 2024.

Jeffrey Katzenberg filled up the Biden campaign with millions of dollars upon Kamala’s joining the ticket, and then the entertainment mogul minted a deal with Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping to create a Chinese Hollywood. Synergy or quid pro quo?

Katzenberg’s influence over Biden has become a sore spot as strikes have brought Hollywood productions to a halt. A self-styled labor champion, Biden has avoided visiting Katzenberg in Los Angeles, though they have continued to praise each other at fundraisers for Biden’s reelection. “I have a lot of assets in my campaign, but none more consequential than Jeffrey Katzenberg,” Biden reportedly told the crowd at a June fundraising dinner. This is a perfect example of how Joe tries to present himself as a man of the people, but is actually a creature of the corporate elite.
Laurene Powell Jobs (net worth: $13.7 billion)

Apple cofounder Steve Jobs’s widow is one of the richest women in the world and one of the most powerful people in Democrat politics and media. She is nearly as much a part of the Democrat machine as Joe Biden himself.
The heiress’s primary vehicle for spreading her wealth around is the Emerson Collective, which is a core subject of my first book, Breaking the News. Through the Emerson Collective, she gives lavishly to globalist social justice causes and candidates, funds establishment and alternative left-wing media, and provides jobs for Biden and Obama administration officials. Unsurprisingly, her media outlets tend to report favorably on her other causes.
Under the Biden administration, Jobs has reached a new level of influence. Vice President Kamala Harris is a close friend of hers.

Jobs’ Emerson Collective is a major backer of Galvanize Climate Solutions, where John Podesta was an advisor before joining the White House to oversee billions in climate-related spending. So far, according to visitor logs, Jobs has visited the White House ten times since Biden took office, including a private meeting with Podesta.
Jobs accepted the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Biden on behalf of her late husband in July 2022, and she attended a state dinner held by Biden in December 2022.

Also of note, Jobs has the dubious honor of being the richest person in America (as far as I could tell) to benefit from pandemic-era PPP government handouts. Ozy Media, one of the outlets under her control, obtained a PPP “loan” in the $2–5 million range. Ozy abruptly shut down after allegations of fraud surfaced in 2021. One of the company’s senior executives had impersonated a YouTube executive on a conference call in order to woo investors. CEO Carlos Watson has since been arrested.
This is the sort of company that Joe Biden’s White House likes to keep.
Reid Hoffman (net worth: $2.1 billion)

Reid Hoffman, who made his billions from helping launch PayPal and cofounding LinkedIn, has become one of the most prolific funders of Democrats in the country. He uses nonprofits and takes advantage of lenient disclosure laws to make large contributions in relative obscurity.
Hoffman is said to be the “most connected man in Silicon Valley.”
He was an early investor in Facebook, had big bucks in Airbnb, and sits on the board of Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, the biomedical arm of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which is named for Facebook cofounder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. Hoffman’s venture capital firm, Greylock Partners, has made eight-figure contributions to Democrat PACs and interest groups in recent elections. LinkedIn and Microsoft donate almost exclusively to Democrats.
Hoffman was responsible for a “false flag” operation in Alabama that planted the idea that the Roy Moore U.S. Senate campaign in 2018 “was amplified on social media by a Russian botnet,” according to an internal report on the scheme reviewed by the New York Times. Hoffman apologized for the deception after it had become public knowledge. All the evidence suggests he’s not an ethical guy, so he’s an ideal person to bankroll the institutional Democrat Party in the Biden era.
Even among pro-China tech moguls, Hoffman stands out. He has stated that the U.S. should emulate the Chinese communist regime, and he occasionally collaborates with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He advises the left-wing Berggruen Institute, which runs an artificial intelligence research center at Peking University and regularly has summit meetings with Xi Jinping to help the world better understand China.

As Peter Schweizer reported in his book Red-Handed, LinkedIn managed to stay in compliance with Chinese censorship rules until 2021. (Facebook and Twitter were banned by 2009). Hoffman has been the “go-to guy” when it comes to helping all other Silicon Valley firms cut foreign deals, particularly with China, according to the New York Times. To put it bluntly, this guy really loves Communist China.
Hoffman funds Courier Newsroom and ACRONYM with Laurene Powell Jobs as well as the Good Information Foundation with George Soros, all of which are organizations that push left-wing ideology on social media. Attorney and legal commentator Preston Moore claimed he was offered money from the Good Information Foundation to make videos attacking Donald Trump and “Trump Republicans,” which is a no-no as far as federal tax law is concerned when it comes to 501(c)(3) organizations. It is unclear whether the IRS has taken action against the group. I personally filed a complaint against it in 2022.
Microsoft, where Hoffman sits on the board of directors, is a major vendor for Biden-backed defense and climate initiatives.
Tom Steyer (net worth: $2.1 billion)

A San Francisco–based former hedge fund manager and climate activist, Tom Steyer spent $73 million on left-leaning causes during the 2020 cycle.
After the election, Biden hired Steyer to advise him on climate change. Steyer has advocated for the halting of drilling permits and the blocking of pipelines, and thus shares responsibility for the skyrocketing gas prices during Biden’s administration, as well as other downstream effects I examine in Breaking Biden.
Though Steyer plays the part of climate change combatant in public, his Farallon Capital Management had large investments in a four thousand-acre Australian coal mine that is expected to pump carbon into the atmosphere for decades. In addition, the fund has invested vast sums in companies with coal-fired power plants and coal mines in China and Indonesia. At least four appointed Biden White House staff have financial disclosures tying them to Steyer’s businesses.

I reported last week on the arrest of a prominent international lawyer who has been investigating and exposing the criminal intent surrounding the unleashing of toxic Covid “vaccines” on the world population.Today, I discovered another influential man, along with a woman, who might want to watch their backs.
They are Swiss banker Pascal Najadi and Swiss scientist turned WHO-whistleblower Dr. Astrid Stuckelberger.
Najadi is a prominent former Swiss banker who has called for the arrest of corporate elites and unelected globalist bureaucrats over allegations of “democide.”

According to Wikipedia, democide is a term coined by American political scientist Rudolph Rummel to describe “the intentional killing of an unarmed or disarmed person by government agents acting in their authoritative capacity and pursuant to government policy or high command.” This definition covers a wide range of deaths, including mass deaths due to governmental acts of criminal omission and neglect by governments or those with defacto government powers.
Pascal Najadi, a Swiss merchant banker of Persian discent, has joined forces with Dr. Astrid Stuckelberger to demand criminal prosecutions of those behind Big Pharma’s Covid injections, which they describe as “bioweapons.”
They make their case in a new documentary titled Cutting off the Head of the Snake.

In the film, Najadi and Stuckelberger pull no punches. They confront the new technocratic dark age being cultivated by an evil host of globalist organizations headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
Najadi focuses on the World Economic Forum, which his late father, Hussain Najadi, co-founded along with the globalist German technocrat Klaus Schwab.
Hussain Najadi was assassinated by a gunman in 2013 in Malaysia. His son, Pascal Najadi, became a leading Swiss banker and served as an adviser to global heads of state on financial matters. He continues to wield considerable influence over Switzerland’s political landscape, as evidenced by the fact that he was largely responsible for the recent resignation of Switzerland’s President Alain Berset.
The resignation came after Najadi filed a lawsuit at the Supreme Court of Switzerland against Berset, accusing Berset of making false statements about the safety and efficacy of Covid mRNA injections.
In the documentary, Najadi reveals his late father’s utter disdain for the Geneva-based World Economic Forum that he helped found in 1971 along with Klaus Schwab. His father left the organization in the early 1980s, and Schwab has run it ever since under the initial tutelege of Dr. Henry Kissinger.
Pascal Najadi said:
“Everything evil in the world related to democide unfortunately comes from Geneva. You have WHO [World Health Organization] in Geneva, you have GAVI [Bill Gates’s Global Vaccine Alliance], then you have the WEF, which my father was a co-founder and left Klaus Schwab out of disgust in the early 80s that has diplomatic immunity.”
He added that:
“I, as a Swiss citizen right here, now declare that the WEF is not eligible anymore for diplomatic immunity.”
In the documentary, Najadi urges Swiss authorities to arrest those responsible for advocating a “global humanity injection by a bioweapon.”
This includes the CEOs and top leaders within Big Pharma, Big Tech, Bill Gates, the WEF, the WHO, and other globalist predators.
In fact, Najadi says he, at the age of 56, and his mother are victims of these bioweapons. He says they are both dying after receiving the injections.
“I call on the Swiss authorities and security to arrest those people immediately. Why? The WEF, WHO, GAVI, Big Pharma, Big Tech, and Bill Gates all advocated a global humanity injection by a bioweapon injecting lipid nanoparticles into 5.7 billion people.”
“And we Swiss are hosting them. That’s terrible.
“We cannot tolerate any entity that promotes poison to be injected into humanity.
“But you have done it. I’m the victim.
“I’m dying from it, and my mother, too.
“It’s a democide and will be judged,” he added. “It will be corrected, in the name of humanity.”
The documentary then switches to Dr. Stuckelberger, who discusses the role of the United Nations in leading the world into global government in partnership with nefarious groups like the WEF, GAVI and the WHO.
Most people inside the United Nations aren’t aware of its purpose, and those who are aware “keep quiet” out of fear, she said. She says the silence is catastrophic for world freedom and calls for both global awareness and action.
Stuckelberger says the Swiss government granted immunity to Bill Gates’s Global Alliance for Vaccine Immunization, or GAVI.
GAVI has been funded to the tune of $8.8 billion by more than 50 governments and organizations around the world. Even former President Donald Trump sent the globalist organization hundreds of millions of dollars in 2020.
The U.K. government is the world’s largest donor to GAVI and in June 2020 it committed to giving more than $2 billion over the five-year period through 2025. Representatives from both the Chinese government and the World Health Organization were present at the kickoff event, which also saw a surprise appearance by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said he was persuaded to join the GAVI initiative by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
Dr. Stuckelberger described the push to vaccinate the world with Covid injections as a global coup d’état.
“We are trying to build a ‘We the People’ movement that is very global, something completely different,” Stuckelberger says. “But what is going on in Geneva is the opposite.”
At the moment, she said, “there is no right to the WHO to give any orders, to dictate to the whole world like they have done. And the Global Alliance for Vaccine Immunization (GAVI) got total immunity from the Swiss government.”
“This is coup d’etat. Clearly, it’s a global crime scene, and we are bringing little pieces of evidence to people with humility. Because in science you always have a doubt. It’s a healthy doubt, and I think that is a very important attitude.”
Their call to action is clear and resonates throughout the documentary: for individuals to stand up, seek the truth, and challenge the status quo, under the banner of guarding humanity against the present and clear danger stemming from Geneva.
They say it will take a collective awakening, urging the masses to rise up against the injustices perpetuated by unelected globalists.
Najadi, in a powerful ending to the documentary, states:
“Swiss neutrality has to be restored. We have no future not being neutral. The young people who survuvie through this, will be the guarantors, hopefully, that such institutions can never again take foothold in our blessed country. Never again. The snakehead is in Geneva. I call it a direct, clear, and present danger to the Swiss population. But I can tell you it is being cut off.
“If you have a house of cards, and this is a house of cards of a criminal, one card pulled by justice and the whole cardhouse collapses.
“But from hope alone, it is not done.
“Everybody must now change their spirit.
“And all the vaccinated, the injected, knowing that they are poisoned… We are the masses.
“We are billions of people.
“Let’s just stand up and say Stop. We will not comply.”
Because we are the guardians of humanity and our light obliterates the darkness of evil. Always.

UMich is just as bad as the other schools, if not worse. If you want to spend almost $100,000 a year to turn your son or daughter into a radical, America-hating extremist whose goal is to bring down our republic, particularly our supposedly white supremacist legal system, then Ann Arbor is the place to go.
None of this is surprising given the recent news about student organizations at various colleges, including law students, supporting Hamas terrorists and their kidnapping and murder of Israeli civilians, the same way the infamous, anti-Semitic German American Bund of the 1930s supported the Nazis. Law students at three of the law schools we have covered—Harvard, NYU, and Columbia—have had job offers from law firms withdrawn because of their support for these terrorists.
No shock that the University of Michigan has such groups, too, like the “Young Democratic Socialists of America,” who applaud Hamas’s killing spree as the “revolutionary will of the people,” and “Students Allied for Freedom and Equality,” who call on “honor[ing] our martyrs” in “resist[ing] imperialism.”
Given the militantly leftist curricula and faculty at those schools, the student support for Hamas is no surprise. The only surprise is the politically correct Big Law culture actually doing the right thing and canceling job offers to students who have neither the character nor the fitness to practice law.
If you are going to attend UMich, you had better be prepared to agree, as stated by the law school’s “Advisory Board on Race and Racism,” that there is “systemic, institutional racism and discrimination within the Quad.” According to the school’s interdisciplinary “Program in Race, Law, and History,” the law school’s work “is grounded in scholarship that has established race as at the core of interpreting the history of the Americas.” Apparently, race drives everything we do in “religion, culture, labor, biology, and politics,” which is why we, as a society, have “rationalized profound inequality.”
Speaking of biology, the law school administrators obviously need a basic lesson in biology, since their 2025 class profile says that 1% of the class are neither men nor women but “nonbinary or other genders.” Maybe they should add a third category for the class profile labeled “confused.”
Of course, UMich knows all about racist behavior since it has been one of the leading law schools in promoting race-based admissions for decades. Under “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Information,” the school brags about its leading role in Grutter v. Bollinger, the 2003 Supreme Court decision that approved the law school’s racial preference admissions policy in the name of “diversity.” The law school criticizes the voters of Michigan for approving the 2006 proposition that outlawed such preferences, and the president of the university, Santa Ono, issued a statement after the Supreme Court finally ruled against such discrimination in the Harvard/University of North Carolina cases expressing how “deeply disheartened” she was by the ruling—no doubt as disheartened as George Wallace was by Brown v. Board of Education.
Ono brags about the university’s “diversity, equity and inclusion strategic plan, DEI 1.0,” and the development of its “next strategic plan, DEI 2.0.” Those are code words for discrimination, exclusion, and indoctrination.
This perverse, distorted view of America and the law pervades the coursework at UMich. The class on “Critical Race Theory” will brainwash—sorry, I mean teach—students that our legal system and laws are “historically central to and complicit in upholding racial hierarchy as well as other hierarchies of gender, class and sexual orientation.” A similar course, “Race and the Law,” posits that the law “has created and maintained a regime of white supremacy in the United States” and will provide students with “the tools essential to resist that regime.”

And we can’t forget the need to turn law students into environmental justice warriors. For that, you can take “Environmental Justice,” which will teach you about the environmental decisions that “disproportionately impact people of color, indigenous peoples, and the poor.” The course will address “environmental racism and other form of environmental injustice.”
No modern socialist training camp would be complete without a course like “Life, Death, Love, and the Law.” This course “will inquire into the ethics of reproduction” including the “choice to have children and the choice to terminate a pregnancy.” The course will “think about death, what it is, whether it is bad.” Wait. What? No, really, that is from the course description.
I don’t think anyone who knows the realities of life and has lost a loved one or a friend needs a law school course to know what death is or whether “it is bad.” Israeli families that have had their loved one tragically murdered could also tell the students at UMich who support Hamas everything they need to know about this topic, too.
Christian and I graduated from law school back when these institutions were still trying to teach their students how to practice law, not indoctrinate them with socialist, racist, anti-American propaganda that defames our legal and justice system and trains them to be revolutionaries who will overthrow our system. Going through the course catalogs and programs of the supposedly best law schools in the country has been very depressing.
As Christian said in our first article, these schools are no longer trying to produce “lawyers capable of helping clients” with practical legal problems. They’re churning out a generation of lawyers with contempt for our Constitution and the rule of law who will “destroy treasured American institutions such as tolerance, liberty, and free speech.”
The only piece of advice we have for students is this: quit looking at the elite, expensive law schools thinking they will somehow turn you into a competent, highly professional lawyer, and that you need to go there to get a good job. They won’t make you good lawyers, and the “education” you will receive is probably not worth the exorbitant amount you will pay for it. There are many other fine law schools, including many state schools, that are far more affordable and have not yet become socialist training camps. Do well there, and you will be able to get hired.
Not only will you get a better education at those schools, but you might also actually get through them without being persecuted for being a patriot who believes in the Constitution and rejecting the racist, elitist political orthodoxy that passes for normal in the woke law schools that are living on their past reputations for excellence and masquerading as institutions of higher learning.
