Part of the problem is that most Americans are too hung up on party politics.  Whether they're Democrats or Republicans there is corruption on both sides and an overwhelming majority of the voters are complacent when it comes time to to enter the voting booth.  The question to ask yourself is, "What did my candidate do to improve the overall well being of the country?"   There's a high probability that your candidate made matters worse*...realistically I cannot think of one politician that has done one bit of good for America in the last year or so (go ahead, prove me wrong!).  What really gets to me is that most everybody I talk with realizes that the country is going down hill fast and yet I see the same elected officials time after time.  Cannot anybody put two and two together and identify the culprits.  The biggest traitors among you hold elective office and you put them there! ~ Norman E. *  Just because you like a candidate's goals does not mean he or she has done anything good for the country...unless those goals are implemented they're a bunch of empty words.  And if you've not figured it out yet, the goal of all those on the Left are to destroy this country in favor of a one world socialist government.

Many of us have had a moment when we've sent an e-mail, Twitter or a Facebook comment only to think, oops, that was not the best idea. We grin and bear the ensuing onslaught of trollish comments until the entire thing passes.

For a young Saudi Arabian,Hamza Kashgari, 23, it is not that simple. The young man tweeted about the Prophet Mohammed last week, saying, "I have loved the rebel in you, you’ve always been a source of inspiration to me," Hamza Kashgari, 23, wrote in a tweet addressed to Mohammed. But "I do not like the halos of divinity around you. I shall not pray for you,”

That tweet has set off a sandstorm in the kingdom. The young man is being hunted by vigilantes, his home address has been published on Facebook and tens of thousands have responded to his original tweet.

It is reported that a leading cleric has called for his head, literally. The cleric wants him tried for apostasy which is punishable by death. Apparently the king has issued a warrant for the lad's arrest. ...continued here

Sticking The EULA Where The Sun Don't Shine

We bought some grapes over at Wal-Mart today and when we got home noted the following statement on the label:

The recipient of the produce contained in this package agrees not to propagate or reproduce any portion of the produce, including (but not limited to) seeds, stems, tissue and fruit.

What? An EULA for grapes?  I don't think that too many people would pay much attention to such an agreement.  For one thing, the grapes are seedless and who has the know-how to reproduce grapes without a seed?  That got me to thinking.  Suppose I did find a seed...and planted it.  How would the producer know that I violated his asinine request?  Then what if I had success and the vine produced a bumper crop.  Would I eat the grapes?  You bet I would.  And there would be nothing stopping me (if I were inclined to do so) from starting my own orchard and selling the grapes for a profit. 
Grapes are a gift from nature (actually from God) and are a life form that no-one has patent rights regardless of any hybridization or cross pollinating of species.  No one has a patent on living organisms regardless of what ANY court of law says...  Companies that deal with gmo's (genetically modified organisms) such as Monsanto would disagree with my assessment but they can stick their gmo's and EULA's where the sun don't shine! ~ Norman E. Five killed, one hurt in crash off I-95

Five people, including three teenagers, were killed Saturday in Riviera Beach after their car was hit by another vehicle that sped through an interstate exit ramp, authorities said.
The driver of a 2008 Mercedes is believed to have been speeding as he exited Interstate 95 and ran a red light about five miles north of West Palm Beach shortly after midnight, Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Tim Frith said.
Jabari Kemp’s vehicle slammed into a 1994 Lexus carrying five people, the youngest 14 and the oldest 22. The impact ejected four people from the car. Only one was wearing a seat belt, Frith said.
Four of the people in the Lexus were dead at the scene. A fifth died at a nearby hospital.
Killed in the crash were Makita Campbell, 14; Shonteria Grimsley, 17; Jason Mahlung, 21; and Christina Oliver Joseph, 17, all of Riviera Beach, in South Florida. A 22-year-old man also killed in the crash has not been identified.
Kemp, 21, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening. Frith said troopers will conduct an investigation. No charges have been filed. Frith said Kemp’s blood also will be checked for any indication of drugs or alcohol.
