Crowley, who is white, sparked a national debate on race relations when he arrested Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. for disorderly conduct at his home in Cambridge, Mass. Gates is black.
More than 3,000 police officers gave Crowley a standing ovation when he spoke at the Long Beach Convention Center and dozens left their seats to flash snapshots of him.
But Crowley spoke for only a few minutes to thank the officers for their support after the July 16 arrest.
President Barack Obama later said on national TV that Crowley had "acted stupidly," then held a White House beer summit to bring all three men together.

The man should get a medal for valor having to sit at the same table with those three idiots. Just going to Washington DC is an act of Valor.
ReplyDeleteToo bad he lives in the 'Peoples' Republic of Cambridge', the heartbeat of Liberals...wait a minute Norm...hey, that may be a good thing! Maybe he can change the mindset of the Peoples' Republic'...naah, just wishful thinking...but I can dream, "Sgt Crowley for President!" ...has sort of a good ring to it! A Sarge for President...could straighten out things over night!
ReplyDeleteIt's a sad day when a man is applauded for falsely arresting a man. The FOP should be ashamed.

ReplyDeleteIt's also a sad day when people who don't know what they are talking about have to make comments under the gutless anonymous sign. The arrest was legitimate however they decided to drop the charges (maybe they were just being kind and understanding not unlike the jerk, Mr. Gates, who blew everything out of proportion) ...all the cops present agreed that the arrest was legitimate...the racist Mr. Obama also agreed that the arrest was legitimate but does not have the where-with-all to apologize...wake up and take the chip off your shoulder!
