Former CBS News president Richard Salant (1961 - 64 and 1966 - 79) explained the major media's role: "Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have." ...and to this very day most Americans haven't noticed they're being brained washed! ~ N. Hooben

If You're Too Young To Remember The Movie...here, I'll help you out!
For the past two years my wife and I spent New Year's Eve at Ft. Bragg. Just a co-incidence, not planned... Just a stop-over returning from our Christmas trip to Cape Cod... besides, it's one of the better Army Lodging facilities.
Another movie that comes to mind was the 1976 Logan's Run.

I missed that one...around the time it came out I was on my way to Sicily to a very small Navy Base with no movie theater.

ps Don't forget I was in the Air Force and we Air Force guys had a movie theater at every base.
I was back at Ft. Bragg by then, but didn't see it at the theater. Caught it a few years later.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't seen it all the way through, rent a copy and watch it. Very ominous like Soylent Green was.
Hmmm, Ft. Bragg
