A 17-year-old teenager was introduced to the 2nd amendment when he decided to amuse himself by playing a “game” that almost ended his life. Scroll to bottom of article to see video of what happened.
A game called “Point-em-out, Knock-em-out” has been spreading through the midwest in the last few months. But it’s not really a game. It’s criminal activity that involves pointing out a random stranger on the street and then attempting to knock that person out.
One teen is in jail today and he is lucky to be alive after he picked a victim who was also a gun owner ready to defend himself.
The Lansing, MI man (whose identity is not being revealed for his protection) was at a bus stop waiting to pick up his 6-year-old daughter from school when he was attacked by a teen with a faulty taser.

“I saw the van circle twice, and the second time three kids came out. I didn’t suspect anything. I hadn’t any enemies, or any reason to believe they would be looking to do anything to me.”

17-year-old Marvell Weaver tried to attack the victim with a taser instead of knocking him out, but thankfully the taser never went off. Little did he know that his target was armed with a .40 caliber pistol.

“He shoved something into my side. I wasn’t sure what it was. It had some force to it. I wasn’t sure if it was a knife or a gun,” said the victim.

Weaver was shot twice by the armed man. One bullet hit Weaver’s leg and the other was only 1 inch from his spine. Weaver has been sentenced to a year in jail for the attack but even he admits he is getting off easy.

“It was just a lesson learned. I wish I hadn’t played the game at all,” said Weaver.

But Weaver say’s this wasn’t the first time he’d played it. Before he was caught, he and his friends had attacked random people on several occasions.

“Not many, six or seven. It wouldn’t be an every day game, just a certain game to be played on certain days. You don’t even try to rob them or anything. That’s the game,” said Weaver.

This so called “game” is despicable, but hopefully this story will keep other teens from trying it, realizing that this is serious criminal behavior that can easily get one shot. You can’t randomly attack people and not expect to face any consequences.
Lucky for this kid, he gets to live another day. But since this was not his first time playing this game, he probably would have just continued to play had a gun owner not exercised his rights for self preservation. Need any more reasons to carry?
