What will you do this week-end? Buy a home-made hovercraft?

Build (or just buy) your own flying hovercraft

by Dave Freeman on March 2, 2010

Fancy having your own hovercraft? Want one that’ll take off and fly? Well a New Zealand man designed, built, and flies his very own flying hovercraft. The drawback – you have to launch and land from on the water in order to actually be able to fly.
Now this is a DIY project. The craft was built in the inventors garage from parts taken from other vehicles, including the handlebar from his daughters scooter over a period of ten years. Keep in mind, because the the hovercraft is technically a boat, you won’t even need a pilots license to fly it (at least in New Zealand), but I think I’d still be cautious about using it. There’s nothing in the original video to indicate how much the hovercraft is selling for, but a little research shows that it’s being auctioned off and as of this post, the price is at $26,500. The auction ends on the 13th though, so it could go significantly higher.

Take heed, my friends, take heed or these words will come back to haunt you. - Gert Willders speaks at the House of Lords

Late update: See video below

Source Un:dhimmi

As with so many things we want everything now...we can't wait or we can't be bothered! And the same goes for reading versus simply just listening. Sure it would be much less bothersome to listen to Mr. Wilders speak as we catch just a few patriotic lines while the rest of the words go in one ear and out the other. There is much meaning in the words of this speech and it behooves us all to not only read them but to take them to heart. For what is going on in Europe today is also going on right here in America. Take heed, my friends, take heed or these words will come back to haunt you. ~ Norman E. Hooben

Geert Wilders’ House Of Lords Speech Transcript: March 5th 2010

“Freedom must prevail, and freedom will prevail”

Thank you. It is great to be back in London. And it is great that this time, I got to see more of this wonderful city than just the detention centre at Heathrow Airport.

Today I stand before you, in this extraordinary place. Indeed, this is a sacred place. This is, as Malcolm always says, the mother of all Parliaments, I am deeply humbled to have the opportunity to speak before you.

Thank you Lord Pearson and Lady Cox for your invitation and showing my film ‘Fitna’. Thank you my friends for inviting me.

I first have great news. Last Wednesday City council elections were held in the Netherlands. And for the first time my party, the Freedom Party, took part in these local elections. We participated in two cities. In Almere, one of the largest Dutch cities. And in The Hague, the third largest city; home of the government, the parliament and the queen. And, we did great! In one fell swoop my party became the largest party in Almere and the second largest party in The Hague. Great news for the Freedom Party and even better news for the people of these two beautiful cities.

And I have more good news. Two weeks ago the Dutch government collapsed. In June we will have parliamentary elections. And the future for the Freedom Party looks great. According to some polls we will become the largest party in the Netherlands. I want to be modest, but who knows, I might even be Prime Minister in a few months time!

Ladies and gentlemen, not far from here stands a statue of the greatest Prime Minister your country ever had. And I would like to quote him here today: “Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytising faith. No stronger retrograde force exists in the World. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step (…) the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.” These words are from none other than Winston Churchill wrote this in his book ‘The River War’ from 1899.

Churchill was right.

Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t have a problem and my party does not have a problem with Muslims as such. There are many moderate Muslims. The majority of Muslims are law-abiding citizens and want to live a peaceful life as you and I do. I know that. That is why I always make a clear distinction between the people, the Muslims, and the ideology, between Islam and Muslims. There are many moderate Muslims, but there is no such thing as a moderate Islam.

Islam strives for world domination. The Qur’an commands Muslims to exercise jihad. The Qur’an commands Muslims to establish shari’ah law. The Qur’an commands Muslims to impose Islam on the entire world.

As former Turkish Prime Minister Erbakan said: “The whole of Europe will become Islamic. We will conquer Rome”. End of quote.

Libyan dictator Ghaddafi said: “There are tens of millions of Muslims in the European continent today and their number is on the increase. This is the clear indication that the European continent will be converted into Islam. Europe will one day soon be a Muslim continent”. End of quote. Indeed, for once in his life, Ghaddafi was telling the truth. Because, remember: mass immigration and demographics is destiny!

Islam is merely not a religion, it is mainly a totalitarian ideology. Islam wants to dominate all aspects of life, from the cradle to the grave. Shari’ah law is a law that controls every detail of life in an Islamic society. From civic and family law to criminal law. It determines how one should eat, dress and even use the toilet. Oppression of women is good, drinking alcohol is bad.

I believe that Islam is not compatible with our Western way of life. Islam is a threat to Western values. The equality of men and women, the equality of homosexuals and heterosexuals, the separation of church and state, freedom of speech, they are all under pressure because of islamisation. Ladies and gentlemen: Islam and freedom, Islam and democracy are not compatible. They are opposing values.

No wonder that Winston Churchill called Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ “the new Qur’an of faith and war, turgid, verbose, shapeless, but pregnant with its message”. As you know, Churchill made this comparison, between the Koran and Mein Kampf, in his book ‘The Second World War’, a masterpiece for which, he received the Nobel Prize in Literature. Churchill’s comparison of the Qur’an and ‘Mein Kampf’ is absolutely spot on. The core of the Qur’an is the call to jihad. Jihad means a lot of things and is Arabic for battle. Kampf is German for battle. Jihad and kampf mean exactly the same.

Islam means submission, there cannot be any mistake about its goal. That’s a given. The question is whether we in Europe and you in Britain, with your glorious past, will submit or stand firm for your heritage.

We see Islam taking off in the West at an incredible pace. Europe is Islamising rapidly. A lot of European cities have enormous Islamic concentrations. Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Berlin are just a few examples. In some parts of these cities, Islamic regulations are already being enforced. Women’s rights are being destroyed. Burqa’s, headscarves, polygamy, female genital mutilation, honour-killings. Women have to go to separate swimming-classes, don’t get a handshake. In many European cities there is already apartheid. Jews, in an increasing number, are leaving Europe.

As you undoubtedly all know, better then I do, also in your country the mass immigration and islamisation has rapidly increased. This has put an enormous pressure on your British society. Look what is happening in for example Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford and here in London. British politicians who have forgotten about Winston Churchill have now taken the path of least resistance. They have given up. They have given in.

Last year, my party has requested the Dutch government to make a cost-benefit analysis of the mass immigration. But the government refused to give us an answer. Why? Because it is afraid of the truth. The signs are not good. A Dutch weekly magazine – Elsevier – calculated costs to exceed 200 billion Euros. Last year alone, they came with an amount of 13 billion Euros. More calculations have been made in Europe: According to the Danish national bank, every Danish immigrant from an Islamic country is costing the Danish State more than 300 thousand Euros. You see the same in Norway and France. The conclusion that can be drawn from this: Europe is getting more impoverished by the day. More impoverished thanks to mass immigration. More impoverished thanks to demographics. And the leftists are thrilled.

I don’t know whether it is true, but in several British newspapers I read that Labour opened the door to mass immigration in a deliberate policy to change the social structures of the UK. Andrew Neather, a former government advisor and speech writer for Tony Blair and Jack Straw, said the aim of Labour’s immigration strategy was, and I quote, to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date”. If this is true, this is symptomatic of the Left.

Ladies and gentlemen, make no mistake: The left is facilitating islamisation. Leftists, liberals, are cheering for every new shari’ah bank being created, for every new shari’ah mortgage, for every new islamic school, for every new shari’ah court. Leftists consider Islam as being equal to our own culture. Shari’ah law or democracy? Islam or freedom? It doesn’t really matter to them. But it does matter to us. The entire leftist elite is guilty of practising cultural relativism. Universities, churches, trade unions, the media, politicians. They are all betraying our hard-won liberties.

Why I ask myself, why have the Leftists and liberals stopped to fight for them? Once the Leftists stood on the barricades for women’s rights. But where are they today? Where are they in 2010? They are looking the other way. Because they are addicted to cultural relativism and dependent on the Muslim vote. They are dependent on mass-immigration.

Thank heavens Jacqui Smith isn’t in office anymore. It was a victory for free speech that a UK judge brushed aside her decision to refuse me entry to your country last year. I hope that the judges in my home country are at least as wise and will acquit me of all charges, later this year in the Netherlands.

Unfortunately, so far they have not done so well. For they do not want to hear the truth about Islam, nor are they interested to hear the opinion of top class legal experts in the field of freedom of expression. Last month in a preliminary session the Court refused fifteen of the eighteen expert-witnesses I had requested to be summoned.

Only three expert witnesses are allowed to be heard. Fortunately, my dear friend and heroic American psychiatrist, Dr. Wafa Sultan is one of them. But their testimony will be heard behind closed doors. Apparently the truth about Islam must not be told in public, the truth about Islam must remain secret.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m being prosecuted for my political beliefs. We know political prosecution to exist in countries in the Middle East, like Iran and Saudi-Arabia, but never in Europe, never in the Netherlands.

I’m being prosecuted for comparing the Qur’an to ‘Mein Kampf’. Ridiculous. I wonder if Britain will ever put the beliefs of Winston Churchill on trial… Ladies and gentlemen, the political trial that is held against me has to stop.

But it is not all about me, not about Geert Wilders. Free speech is under attack. Let me give you a few other examples. As you perhaps know, one of my heroes, the Italian author Oriana Fallaci had to live in fear of extradition to Switzerland because of her anti-Islam book ‘The Rage and the Pride’. The Dutch cartoonist Nekschot was arrested in his home in Amsterdam by 10 police men because of his anti-Islam drawings. Here in Britain, the American author Rachel Ehrenfeld was sued by a Saudi businessman for defamation. In the Netherlands Ayaan Hirsi Ali and in Australia two Christian pastors were sued. I could go on and on. Ladies and gentlemen, all throughout the West freedom loving people are facing this ongoing ‘legal jihad’. This is Islamic ‘lawfare’. And, ladies and gentlemen, not long ago the Danish cartoonist Westergaard was almost assassinated for his cartoons.

Ladies and gentlemen, we should defend the right to freedom of speech. With all our strength. With all our might. Free speech is the most important of our many liberties. Free speech is the cornerstone of our modern societies. Freedom of speech is the breath of our democracy, without freedom of speech our way of life our freedom will be gone.

I believe it is our obligation to preserve the inheritance of the brave young soldiers that stormed the beaches of Normandy. That liberated Europe from tyranny. These heroes cannot have died for nothing. It is our obligation to defend freedom of speech. As George Orwell said: “If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”.

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe in another policy, it is time for change. We must make haste. We can’t wait any longer. Time is running out. If I may quote one of my favourite American presidents: Ronald Reagan once said: “We need to act today, to preserve tomorrow”. That is why I propose the following measures, I only mention a few, in order to preserve our freedom:

First, we will have to defend freedom of speech. It is the most important of our liberties. In Europe and certainly in the Netherlands, we need something like the American First Amendment.

Second, we will have to end and get rid of cultural relativism. To the cultural relativists, the shari’ah socialists, I proudly say: Our Western culture is far superior to the Islamic culture. Don’t be afraid to say it. You are not a racist when you say that our own culture is better.

Third, we will have to stop mass immigration from Islamic countries. Because more Islam means less freedom.

Fourth, we will have to expel criminal immigrants and, following denaturalisation, we will have to expel criminals with a dual nationality. And there are many of them in my country.

Fifth, we will have to forbid the construction of new mosques. There is enough Islam in Europe. Especially since Christians in Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Indonesia are mistreated, there should be a mosque building-stop in the West.

And last but not least, we will have to get rid of all those so-called leaders. I said it before: Fewer Chamberlains, more Churchills. Let’s elect real leaders.

Ladies and gentlemen: To the previous generation, that of my parents, the word ‘London’ is synonymous with hope and freedom. When my country was occupied by the national-socialists the BBC offered a daily glimpse of hope in my country, in the darkness of Nazi tyranny. Millions of my fellow country men listened to it, underground. The words ‘This is London’ were a symbol for a better world coming soon.

What will be broadcasted forty years from now? Will it still be “This is London”? Or will it be “This is Londonistan”? Will it bring us hope? Or will it signal the values of Mecca and Medina? Will Britain offer submission or perseverance? Freedom or slavery? The choice is yours. And in the Netherlands the choice is ours.

Ladies and gentlemen, we will never apologise for being free. We will and should never give in. And, indeed, as one of your former leaders said: We will never surrender.

Freedom must prevail, and freedom will prevail.

Thank you very much.

"Shadow Government" ...Do we have one?

Source: Do The Right Thing

Creators of the Film, "Shadow Government"

The person who sent me this video knows I'm not a fan of Alex Jones, but because of the guests and the topic, asked me to take a look at the video.

The more we know and understand New World Order intentions the better off we will be. Take a look.

Reader Comments (2)

Having studied this topic for over 40 years most of what is said in this video is pretty much up to date. There are some conflicts with some of the beliefs...i.e. preventing World War III and population control. I'm not sure they want to prevent WWIII but they sure and heck want to control population (see Global 2000 Report, the archetict was Henry Kissinger and this document was classified Top Secret up until 1989). One of the techniques they used to deny any of this is just that, deny, deny, deny! They were actually the ones who came up with the Conspiracy Theory and they repeated it enough so that it would be ingrained in the minds of the populace. By calling it a theory they would detach themselves from the conspiracy and those that belived in the theory would be constantly harrassed as nut cases. You can (or at least I have) trace some of this denial back to FDR (there's other commentary out there that traces it back to the turn of the century (1900's) and yet others that can find some evidence to the genisis of the New World Order shortly after the Civil War. I know that this may sound repetitive from me and rather elementary for some, but I always suggest that a good starting point to verify all that is factual is "The Chronological History Of The New World Order" by professor D.L Cuddy. But it is very important that one studies each and every point that cuddy chronicles. From there it will lead you into an amazement of references. The main thread in all of this is an ideology absent of God and the thirst for power by the politic elite. Even Norman Cousins, the perennial candidate for president up until the late 50's or early 60's, was able to convince FDR to implement his socialistic ideas...(and you probably thought they came from FDR)
I can get pretty lenghty on this subject for indeed it is very indepth when you connect the hundreds of dots...most people give up easily on this subject and become disenchanted thinking that our leaders are basically patriotic citizens and this is the biggest mistake they make. Let me sum up by saying what I have said years ago or rather what a friend in San Antonio, Texas said to me two summers ago. This is my friend John speaking:
"Norm, do you remember back in the 70's when you spoke of the New World Order? Well, I didn't believe you then, however everything you talked about has come true. You were right on the money!"

By the way...It was THEY who started the United Nations!

And if you care to check out the initial suggestion for a 'Stimulus Plan' ...check in at the UN. Long before you heard it
from Obama, the UN was pushing the stimulus plan. It's designed to devalue the dollar( and other currencies)...and if you don't believe this then you haven't checked the cost of living and/or the exchange rate vs other currencies.

thanks, Norm

Top advisers to President Obama are close to a decision recommending that the self-proclaimed mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks be prosecuted in a military tribunal, The Washington Post reported Friday, citing unnamed administration officials.

According to the report, the president's advisors have grown increasingly wary of bipartisan opposition to the planned civilian federal trial in New York City, mere blocks from where nearly 3,000 Americans were killed in the spectacular attack on the World Trade Center.

Go get 'em Scott Brown!

"The Hundreds of billions of dollars spent and continue to spend on the stimulus package has not created one new net job." 'Way to go Scott Brown! Telling like it is with no holds barred! (Do you think for a minute Obama has heard the message...Obama will counter act by saying he saved net jobs.). Newly elected U. S. Senator Scott Brown wants an immediate across the board tax relief for working families...but as we have seen with the Pelosi, Reid, Obama gang of the 111th Congress he's going to have one helleva uphill battle getting his proposed amendment passed. Good luck Senator! I wish you well! ~ Norman E. Hooben

The following from NewsMax.com

Video: Scott Brown Calls for $80B Tax Cut

Nearly one month to the day of entering the Senate after a race that rocked U.S. politics, GOP Sen. Scott on Thursday announced his first piece of legislation -- a $80 billion payroll tax cut.

The Immediate Tax Relief for America's Workers Act targets mostly working class Americans, those employees making up to about $200,000, with a temporary tax cut that would, according to data released from Brown's office, save the average worker "about $100 a month for a total of at least $500 for individuals and $1,000 for working couples," Fox News reported.

Editor’s Note: See video of Sen. Scott Brown’s first speech below.

The $80 billion is currently "stuck in a virtual Washington slush fund," Brown said in his speech.

"Providing immediate across-the-board tax relief to working families is not complicated economic policy – it’s simple and common economic sense," he added.

Brown's office, in a statement, said, "Families could immediately use their returned tax dollars to provide for their families and put back into the struggling economy to spur job creation."

Brown spokeswoman Gail Gitcho tells Fox it is not clear when the senator will offer this provision. There is a jobs bill on the Senate floor right now. It is possible Sen. GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY, could include Brown's legislation as one of the GOP amendments that will be offered.

The Massachusetts Republican angered his colleagues recently by breaking with the vast majority of his party to help Democrats break a GOP-led filibuster of the first jobs bill, this ought to bring him back into the fold.

THREE CHEERS FOR BARACK OBAMA

Subject: THREE CHEERS FOR OBAMA!!!!
ginal Message -----

Subject: [Fwd: Fw: ???THREE CHEERS FOR BARACK OBAMA!???]

This is a different perspective from those we usually read

That’s right - I will say it: “THREE CHEERS FOR BARACK OBAMA!”

He destroyed the Clinton Political Machine - Driving a stake thru the heart of Hillary's Presidential aspirations - something no Republican was ever able to do. Remember when a Hillary Presidency scared the daylights out of you!

He killed off the Kennedy Dynasty - No more Kennedy's trolling Washington looking for booze and women wanting rides home. American women and Freedom are safer tonight!

He is destroying the Democratic Party before our eyes!

Dennis Moore had never lost a race - quit

Evan Bayh had never lost a race - quit

Byron Dorgan - had never lost a race - quit

Harry Reid - bid for re-election doesn't look good

These are just a handful of the Democrats whose political careers Obama has destroyed! By the end of 2010 dozens more will be!

In December of 2008 the Democrats were on the rise. In the last two election cycles they had picked up 14 senate seats and 52 house seats. The press was touting the death of the Conservative Movement and the Republican Party.

In one year Obama put a stop to all of this and will probably give the house, if not the senate back to the Republicans..

He has completely exposed liberals and progressives for what they are. Every Generation seems to need to relearn the lesson on why they should never actually put liberals in charge. He is bringing home the lesson very well!

Liberals tax, borrow and spend - check

Liberals won't bring themselves to protect America - check

Liberals want to take over the economy - check

Liberals think they know what is best for everyone - check

Liberals aren't happy till they are running YOUR life - check

He has brought more Americans back to conservatism than anyone since Reagan.

In one year he rejuvenated the Conservative movement and brought out to the streets millions of Freedom-Loving Americans.

Name me one other time in your life that you saw your friends and neighbors this interested in taking back America!

In all honesty, one year ago I was more afraid than I had ever been in my life. Not of the economy, but of the direction our country was going. I thought Americans had forgotten what this country was all about. My neighbors, friends, and strangers proved to me that my lack of confidence of the Greatness and Wisdom of the American people was flat out wrong.

When the American People wake up, no smooth-talking teleprompter-reader can fool them!

Barack Obama woke up these Great Americans!

Again I want to say, “Thank you, Barack Obama!”

He slammed dunked Hilary!

Things were ever so much clearer then... when I was a useful idiot!

Some people outgrow  their idiotic usefulness, some people don't.  I know, I have friends and family that fall into one or the other category but they are so naive that you could hit them right up the side of their heads with a baseball bat and they's still be saying, "huh?" ...and boy! do they like to argue!  Anyway, I found this great little essay about self-examination and coming to terms with reality...something everyone should do from time to time.  Far too many people (especially the ones that I know personnally) have repeatedly done the same things over and over expecting different results (some would contribute that saying to Einstein, but it was really just some line from an old movie) and that would define them as, "insane".  Hey, if I didn't have some crazy friends how would I know I was normal. ~ Norman E. I Was A 'Useful Idiot'
Nancy Morgan
RightBias.com
February 17, 2010

For the first 39 years of my life, I was a walking, talking useful idiot. I believed without question what I saw on TV, and adopted as fact whatever I saw in the newspaper headlines.
Armed with this information, I figured I knew it all. There were no questions I couldn't answer and no opinions I wouldn't espouse. Especially when they were formed by others.
In my younger days, I still had respect for authority and institutions. I believed the 'experts.'  I took their pronouncements as fact and defended them with fervor. I never doubted the premises. I truly believed that since everyone else believed that way, why, that was the correct way to think. If it was on TV or in the newspapers, it was true. That was the way things were. Absolutely.
I had the certainty of youth. Where all issues are black or white, where people were good or bad. Where no gray areas intruded to cast doubt on my wisdom. Things were ever so much clearer then.
Until age 39, I was too busy being the center of my own universe to give deep thought to any issue that didn't affect me directly. I lived in a magical place where no analytical thinking was required. I kept abreast of other's opinions and considered myself not only informed, but pretty darn smart.
Imagine my surprise when reality eventually intruded. When I found out that, gasp, Che was a mass-murderer, not a freedom fighter. That Kinsey was a sexual pervert and pedophile, not a scientist. That the earth wasn't melting and that Obama wasn't the answer to all the world's problems. When I found out that 'is' doesn't necessarily mean 'is.'

To my chagrin, I finally realized that no matter how thin the pancake, there are always two sides. And I had only been exposed to one. I was the quintessential 'useful idiot.'

The term 'useful idiot' was originally coined by Russian mass-murder Lenin, referring to blind defenders and apologists for the Soviet Union in the Western democracies.
The most famous of these useful idiots was New York Times Moscow correspondent Walter Duranty. Duranty got a Pulitzer prize for his [non] reporting on Stalin's man-made famine in the Soviet Union in the 1930's. Duranty reported to the American people and the world that things were peachy keen in the Soviet Union, totally ignoring the fact that Stalin was starving millions of his own people. Stalin eventually killed more people than Hitler did in the Holocaust.
By proxy, Duranty turned millions of Americans into useful idiots. By reporting on what people wanted to hear instead of what was actually happening, America's policies continued to enable Stalin's killing spree.
Fast forward to 2010 and we see history once again repeating itself. Agenda driven, ideological reporting by the mainstream media is being accepted as fact by millions of Americans. And the powers that be are counting on increasing numbers of useful idiots to accept their premises without question. Like lemmings, blindly following their fellows into the sea.
All I feel now when I think of those days is acute embarrassment. The innocence, the naivety (Should that be naivete? Norm), the absolute certainty. Those happy days before I realized that I had been manipulated into accepting and promoting someone else's agenda.
I had been treated as fodder in a war I wasn't even aware was being waged. A war for the hearts and minds of American citizens. And because I had blindly parroted and regurgitated every popular consensus without question, I deserved the label of useful idiot.
Fortunately, this is not a life long condition. I am now a recovering idiot. I keep my mouth shut unless I am sure of my facts. I rely on common sense instead of the experts. And if I want to spout opinions, I make sure they are based on my own research instead of talking heads and soundbites. I also try to keep in mind that there are always two sides to every issue.

This doesn't make me wise, but at least I am no longer an unwitting pawn in someone else's agenda. Or a useful idiot.

Foreseeing The Future When Nobody Was Listening ...Beck is right on the money!

Just a little note:
Back in 2008 prior to the November elections just who was predicting an unemployment rate of 10% (and inflation greater than 20%) ? Nobody? Wrong!
In case you haven't noticed these figures have arrived and in many places throughout the country they are doubled the predicted rate. During an interview with Peter Schiff in October of 2008, Glenn Beck mentions these numbers and he was right on the money (both the percentage and the time frame). Of course all of us who have the same "common sense" that Glenn speaks of knew exactly the same. In case you have an interest, this video was originally posted on this website back on October 14, 2008, the day after Beck's interview...you can find it accompanied by much commentary by clicking here. ~ Norman E. "How about two parts corrupt and one part stupid..."

Could we add, "How about treason?"

Remember what I said in my previous post, "This is serious stuff...", well others are making the same claim (see Michelle Bachman's quote below).  It is pretty much known by an ever increasing number of people that this administration is probably the most corrupt in the history of America; it least it is in modern times.  But the question is, "Why are Americans so complacent as to do nothing about the destruction of their country?"  Just what is it going to take to rile up enough people to run these radical leftists out of town (out of the country would be more appropriate!).  Do most of you think by waiting for election day will solve these problems?  I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you wait that long we may no longer have a country that we can call America. And the other problem is, those that should be getting this message won't; they're all at the mall. ~ Norman E. Hooben

The following from Pundit & Pundette

A White House without restraint

Corruption, mismanagement, abuse of power. Will this be the Obama legacy?

Yesterday may be the day the White House officially went over the top. Nice Deb calls it The Politics of OMG WTF? See her post for details on a secret massive federal land grab which Obama can accomplish with "just the stroke of a pen;" the administration's use of George Soros and company to discredit inconvenient findings on green jobs; and gazillions in "clean energy" stimulus funds sent to stimulate foreign economies. As Deb notes, this is so bad that even Chuck Schumer wants it stopped:
A study done by the Investigative Reporting Workshop found that 79 percent of the $2 billion in clean-energy grants allocated since Sept. 1, 2009, has gone to foreign wind companies.
"We are demanding the Obama administration suspend this program immediately ... [and] indefinitely," Schumer said. "We are sending a letter to Secretary [Timothy] Geithner asking him to halt all payouts for this program until we in Congress can go back and fix this law."

The senators highlighted a wind farm project in west Texas, which received stimulus aid and is projected to create 3,000 jobs in China and a tenth as many in the United States.
(A thought: Maybe Congress should stop passing such crappy laws?)

And now an incredibly brazen, er, incentive offered to a House member for his vote on Obamacare. Michelle Malkin:
This one looks like a quid pro quo, smells like a quid pro quo, and quacks like a quid pro quo:
Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he’s obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson’s brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
Let us consider the possibility, for a brief moment, that it is merely coincidence.
Is the White House so fantastically blind and tone-deaf that it failed to detect the blood-red flags and blaring alarm bells that Scott Matheson’s judicial nomination would raise coming on the very day President Obama is wooing his brother, Jim?
Incorrigibly corrupt or incorrigibly stupid. Take your pick.
How about two parts corrupt and one part stupid, or just deranged in mind and soul by power-lust?

The fact that Rep. Matheson is on the fence on Obamacare makes it look very bad indeed. Rep. Michele Bachmann calls this a "very serious" matter that warrants an independent investigation into White House corruption. See the video here. (Be warned that the toxic Rep. Alan Grayson is the other party to the discussion, though he is positively mild-mannered in this clip, calling the corruption question "a distraction" and "a tangent" but making no references, this time, to Satan.) (Hat tip: Potluck)

Given three more years, who can say what this White House may accomplish in the corruption department?

A White House Power Grab...the dictator cometh

Read the entire resolution hereIf you do not understand the serious nature of this bill you may want to start getting serious with the usurper in the White House.  The executive branch of the government has no business dictating Social Security matters...of course if you are a DICTATOR now that's another story!  I did not read SB 1110 so therefor I won't comment...but it most likely agrees with HR 2718. ~ Norman E. The following from BIG GOVERNMENT

SusanAnne Hiller A White House Power Grab that Congress and America Doesn’t See
by SusanAnne Hiller
To achieve the goal of a universal, single-payer health system, the White House must secure the power it needs by amending the Social Security Act to transfer pivotal controls from Congress to the executive branch.  This transfer of power would ultimately give the President and the majority party, in this case the radical left Obama White House and Pelosi-Reid led progressive Democrats, the authority to frame and manipulate new policy, coverage options, and reimbursements, ultimately reshaping the future US health care system into a something unrecognizable in this country.
whitehouse
The deliberate setup for the White House power grab is built into the each of the health care bills and, if they fail, little-known twin bills called “MedPAC Reform of 2009” are waiting in the wings.  The bills, S.B. 1110 and H.R. 2718, craftily amend the Social Security Act and transfer the Medicare guideline and rule setting processes, from the legislative branch to the executive branch.  These bills offer cover to one another in case one doesn’t pass the House or Senate, respectively.  Remember, Democrats need to gain executive branch authority by amending the Social Security Act over Medicare regulations and physician fee schedules to transform the health care system in a single-payer, socialized system.
More importantly, Medicare’s regulations and physician fee schedules are the keystone to developing payer systems and reimbursement models across the entire health care industry.  And where Medicare goes, insurers follow.
To underscore the far-reaching power, a bulk of the states already reference or utilize the Medicare guidelines and fee schedules in determining policy, coverage, and payment, which impacts certain state-specific plans, including, but not limited to, self-funded plans, automobile insurance payers, and state workers’ compensation funds and plans – affecting even Big Labor.   For the executive branch to have such authority over Medicare regulations with little oversight is alarming.  This raises further issues of the powerful impact these federal mandates could potentially have on the states in stripping them of their own management of their respective insurance industries.
Specifically, the language in the Reid bill intentionally places unlimited power directly in the hands of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, including the ability to designate covered services, or rationing.  The Pelosi bill creates a Health Choices Commission and its “commissioner” is empowered to make the same decisions.  More alarming, both will have to take direction from the White House–and its unconfirmed czars–due to their executive branch affiliation.
In retrospect, Obama’s pick of Sebelius as HHS Secretary is obvious.  Aside from being a governor, Sebelius is the former Kansas insurance commissioner and has the ability to identify the strongest and weakest links–navigating her way quite expeditiously throughout the health care system.  And she’ll never disavow one of her first career choices — executive director and chief lobbyist for the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.  That explains the blatant omission of tort reform, in addition to the fact that the trial lawyers are the biggest Democrat donors.
Another disturbing Obama appointee is health care czar Nancy Ann DeParle, who remains unconfirmed, and was the administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), now known as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.  In short, she “owns” Medicare.  And if you put Sebelius and DeParle together in a room for a few hours, you’ll get a formula for a single-payer government-run health care system – with Obama’s wish list met.
These designed appointees make sense of the intentions at hand to frame a universal or single-payer health care system.  Everything in this administration makes sense when you look at the overall agenda.  Even the branding makes sense.  The urgency, caring for the uninsured, taking advantage of the uninsurable, proclaiming it’s paid for,  packaging it as deficit-neutral, and amplifying that people are ‘dying’ in the streets.
The aforementioned MedPAC Reform of 2009 bills give the executive branch power it so dearly covets to devise the single-payer system.  Currently, MedPAC–the Medicare Payment and Advisory Committee (MedPAC)–is a Clinton-era independent Congressional agency established by the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 that advises the Congress on issues affecting the Medicare program, including payments to private health plans participating in Medicare and providers in Medicare’s traditional fee-for-service program.  MedPAC also analyzes access to, quality of, and cost of health care.
The MedPAC bill designer, progressive Senator John Rockefeller (D-WV), has strategically branded the need for the bill by calling Congress “inefficient” and “inconsistent” –and who wouldn’t agree with that?
Therefore, the MedPAC Reform bill creates a new MedPAC–the Medicare Payment and Access Commission–and gives the Obama White House and its advisors over-reaching control of several factors governing the economy of the health care system.  The new MedPAC, which is exempted from judicial review, would have the authority to rewrite physician fee schedules, redefine medical necessity, evaluate coverage of treatment options, rewrite beneficiary definitions and coverage, and redesign diagnostic definitions and coverage.
The new MedPAC’s mission would also be to inform new research in health services to adequately address deficiencies in the evidence. However, in reality, this would apparently cripple new treatments and technologies by overshadowing progressive research and treatment algorithms by apparently emphasizing the deficiencies, not the benefits, equaling a denial of care and arresting development of burgeoning technologies.
Rockefeller also confirms that the new MedPAC will evaluate and test new and innovative payment models for provider reimbursement.  The MedPAC reform is being packaged under the guise of efficiency; however, by maximizing the volume of care delivered at the lowest possible cost, it appears that the payment and utilization schedule is a mechanism to control the pressure that would build when the health care system is overloaded with millions of new patients.
Finally, Rockefeller highlights another intention of MedPAC, which is to expand the capacity to evaluate basic and health services research for reimbursement.  This is the pinnacle power grab because this gives the new MedPAC and the executive branch the power to ration or deny care and decide what treatment options are available or acceptable as a whole.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, commented, “As a congressional support agency, MedPAC’s mission is to advise Congress on Medicare payment issues.  If MedPAC were to become part of the executive branch as contemplated in the Rockefeller bill, then Congress would no longer have this support agency to provide technical support when making policy decisions.”  Senator Grassley also confirmed that he is not willing to abdicate congressional responsibilities for Medicare payment policymaking to a body that does not hold certificates of election.   He is correct that Congress wouldn’t have the support agency’s advice, but misses that it wouldn’t be Congress’s responsibility anymore—the policy decisions would be the responsibility of the new MedPAC—under the direction of the Obama White House.
What’s inherently disturbing is the fact that Rockefeller has been very outspoken in support of the public option and knows that this transfer of power must take place via the Social Security Act—in any form.  He even confirms that health care reform will not be successful, unless all authority is shifted to the executive branch.  He also rightly chooses his words–the “healthcare delivery system,” which is code for the public option.
Additionally, Rockefeller confirms the overall task at hand by stating, “Establishing MedPAC as an independent executive branch agency – which can only change through an act of Congress – is the cornerstone of improving our delivery system reform.  Health care reform will only be successful if we craft transformative changes.”  Transformative, as in a government-run health care system.
If there are any questions if the White House would flex its executive branch authority over an agency, just look the way of the EPA.  Congress stalled on cap and trade and Climategate has proven to be a problem, so the White House and EPA took matters into their own hands to keep moving on the agenda—to intentionally put regulations in place that further strangle American businesses, create unemployment, and further destabilize the economy.
Furthermore, with most of the Obama administration graduates of the Saul Alinsky school of thought, of course the main goal of all legislation and policies would be to support the overall intention of Alinsky, which is for the “have-nots on how to take it away.”
In any of these legislative scenarios–Pelosi, Reid or MedPAC bills–the White House gets the power it seeks–and needs–in order to accomplish the task at hand–a single payer, government-run health system.
These bills must be defeated; the power grab thwarted because after the Social Security Act is amended in any form these bills present and the rule changes take effect, it is not likely for the Act to be reopened and amended again.  The problem is Congress doesn’t even comprehend what’s at stake in either of the health care bills or MedPAC Reform–and you can’t stop something you don’t see.

It is not your job, and it is not the government's job to see to it that every American can find a job at some illusive "living wage."

THE ROLE OF THE PRESIDENT

Neal Boortz
@ March 3, 2010 8:49 AM
Barack Obama was in Savannah, Georgia yesterday touting his HOMESTAR (sorry, couldn't stop myself from linking to that -ww) program. This is where he wants to offer $1,000 rebates to reward people who buy energy-saving equipment for their homes. These are the types of programs that Obama genuinely believes is going to turn the tide of this economy and create jobs for the millions who are out of work. Actually ... it goes further than that. Obama now seems to feel that his primary job as president is to make sure that people have jobs. Here's what Obama had to say in Savannah yesterday: (And for those of you who can't listen to the audio ... here's the transcript.)
"When it comes to domestic policy, I have no more important job as president than seeing to it that every American that wants to work and is able to work can find a job."
Now, correct me if I am wrong but it is NOT the president's job to make sure that Americans can find a job. In fact, Obama's job as president is to defend the Constitution of the United States. At least, that is what he swore to do when taking the oath of office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
That's it, pal. Protect and defend this country and our Constitution - our rule of law. It is not your job, and it is not the government's job to see to it that every American can find a job at some illusive "living wage."
Back to Savannah, that's not all Obama had to say. He goes on to say, "That was my focus last year and that is my focus this year ... to lay a foundation for economic growth that creates jobs."
What the hell? Did Mr. Changey Hopey actually say that his focus last year was to focus on economic growth that creates jobs? If so, why did he spend the entire year scaring the absolute hell out of the small businessmen and women in this country who are responsible for most of our jobs with threats of tax increases, fines, penalties, increased regulations, government control of wages and benefits - not to mention threats of takeovers. No .... Obama's focus wasn't on jobs. Obama's focus was on one thing .. expanding and empowering government. This man walked into the White House believing that America's greatness came from government, and determined to make America greater (in his eyes) by making government bigger and stronger. How to accomplish this? By seizing control of almost one-fifth of the American economy .. health care.
PrezBO, by the way, was in Georgia yesterday telling saps who know no better that his wonderful stimulus plan has put 300,000 people to work in Georgia on various transportation projects. Then, a few yours later, we learn that Georgia has lost another 140,000 plus jobs in February. In case you haven't already figured this out, Obama lies; and when it comes to inflating the numbers of jobs "created or saved" by his free spending habits he lies more intensely than usual.
That's it. Year one was totally and completely dedicated to the cause of nationalized health care. Jobs? You've got to be kidding. The only jobs that Obama really cares about are government unionized jobs.
I simply cannot believe that there is any significant number of Americans out there who are still buying this man's nonsense.

MSNBC...what is it anyway? And who the heck is Dylan Ratigan? (I think I kicked his butt back in the first grade. I think he's due for another!)

Darla, ADMIN / National Director  MSNBC Host blows cork, Mark Williams walks off show
From Mark's Blog:
The part I loved the most was that the host – a nobody named Dylan RATigan had his producer call he at 6:30 this morning to be on the show at 1:00 PM my time. After I walked off the air (or was thrown, leftie blogs say I was thrown, I thought I walked but then again I cannot see the program when I am on, all I see is a camera lens pointed at me) he went into a rant about how I “used” him and his show LOL!

As Holly, Casey the Pound Spaniel and I were leaving the studio my cell phone rang. It was old friend Martha Zoller who had just wrapped being on the segment right after mine. She was howling with laughter as she pointed out that her Southern Belle charm comes in so handy following me in that kind of a situation :)

Here is the video as posted by Michelle Malkin (she and her readers have some to say about what went down on TV today – click here for that: http://michellemalkin.com/2010/03/02/anger-in-america-msnbc-style/

Links to other blogs are below the video. Enjoy! Oh, and click on the “comments” section at the bottom of this post, did I walk or was I thrown?

The real racist and wingnut is dylan ratigan, I'll bet it's not his real name. He is a guy that will do anything to have/keep his job, he doesn't know how to do anything else. I have seen this type of personality may times before, no integrity, no honesty, and no morals. He looks desperate to make a splash to increase his cred, he's a keith olberidiot wanabe. This was all a put on, you can't tell me he was that upset, it's an act, msnbc is playing to the 250 people that watch this bull, and he is hoping to get national attention for himself, it's tripe. I think that sending him a comment is futile. What would hurt him worse is to just ignore him.

This kind of thing is a leftist tactic to get us off the subject of getting our country back on track. Do NOT buy into this crap people. Look at how much time had been wasted just on this one bum. Discuss only the important issues and don't let them side track you into some kind of hate mode where all you want to do is bash liberals. I understand that screaming at libs does blow off steam and is kind of fun, but really if you stop at take a good look, this only hinders what the tea party movement is all about which is informing people about the truth and what we can do to correct the multitude of wrongs we've let government get away with. We already know what liberals are and what makes them tick so there really is no need to constantly rant about how idiotic they are. I encourage all of you to start you own blog and calmly and intelligently discuss issues and politics at the local level. When some lib tries to get you sidetracked....ban them and keep the blog on task.
