Message To Sheriff Joe, for all those who interfer with the law, Cuff 'em

Sheriff Joe,

To the best of my knowledge there is nothing written in the law that says you cannot arrest anyone that attempts to prevent you from doing your job...something about interfering with the official duties of a police officer. So the next time that usurper in the White House steps foot in your jurisdiction you have the responsibility to make an arrest for aiding and abetting criminal behavior. Cuff 'em! ~ Norman E. Hooben

The Department of Homeland Security has been up in arms over Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the excellent job he has been doing in helping to curb the influx of illegal immigrants coming across our border with Mexico. The Sheriff has been well known for his tough stances on crime and illegal immigration and his unique ways of handling convicts in his prisons.

Most US Citizens believe it to be the job of the Department of Homeland Security to protect our borders and yet by all appearances it would be quite safe to say that this is a job that they have failed at for many years. So why is it that they have been aggressively attacking Joe Arpaio for his great work in doing their jobs for them? The answer to this question lies in the hands of politicians who choose to cater to special interests of illegal immigration groups and their organizations as is made evident in the decision by the Department of Homeland Security to revoke the Sheriff’s authority to enforce illegal immigration laws while on patrol.

The “Sheriff vows to continue enforcing state/federal immigration laws” in his new release,

“The Washington D.C. based Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has officially advised Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio that it intends to strip deputies of their ICE agent status.

“Currently Arpaio has 100 deputies who have successfully enforced immigration laws since 2007, the year the Sheriff signed the controversial 287G immigration contract with the federal government.

“Arpaio says the federal government’s move against him is strictly political.

“Arpaio’s Washington D.C. based attorney stated that the decision to curtail the Sheriff’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent status emanates from as high as the White House. Driscoll also says that the White House wants to eventually dissolve the 287G agreement completely with all local law enforcement agencies now assisting the federal government in the fight against the growing problem of illegal immigration into the U.S.”

Sheriff Arpaio has earned the name as “America’s Toughest Sheriff” through the many techniques he uses to try to control crime rates in his County. One such way has been to have convicts sleep in tents instead of a comfortable jail cell with many of the amenities you might find at home just like the ones found in most of the county, state, and federal prisons of today.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has been fighting the Sheriff’s, tough on criminals, law enforcement tactics for many years and continue to do so as seen in a press release they have issued demanding that Arpaio be stripped of all of his 287(g) authority, including that in the jails.

Congressman Steve King responded to the news the that the Department of Homeland Security has stripped Maricopa County’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio of his authority to take his front line stance against illegal immigration in America.

“The Department of Homeland Security is now telling law enforcement officials to ignore our laws so this Administration’s political agenda can be achieved. Disregarding immigration law enforcement will result in more drunk drivers, more murders and move violent crimes. The Department of Homeland Security and the Administration will be directly responsible for this increase in criminal activity.

“ACORN, the ACLU and La Raza have protested Sheriff Joe Arpaio and have attempted to keep him from doing his job. This decision shows that this Administration is willing to prevent a sheriff from enforcing the law in order to capitulate to these radical special interest groups. The ‘open borders’ Obama Administration continues to posture itself in favor of amnesty over the Rule of Law. President Obama should overturn this decision and allow Sheriff Joe to continue to do his job.”

Rep. Steve King has been known to take his own strong stances in his attempts to stop illegal immigration, while meeting heavy opposition for doing so.

Editor’s Note: Once again, I’d like to thank the Congressman for speaking out on these tough issues when so many lawmakers refuse to get involved for fear of political retaliation. It is because of leaders like Steve King, that we still see a glimmer of hope that someone does have our backs in DC. I’d also like to take this chance to thank Sheriff Joe Arpaio for doing what’s right as he takes a strong stance against illegal immigration and for supporting federal immigration laws.

We may just have to do the job DHS just won't do like we did in 2006. And this time do it as an armed force.

It's funny how the elitest just get to pick and choose the laws they want enforced. It is obvious that these elitest are unAmerican. They want the US to fail, not just at war but a pease as well.
