Former CBS News president Richard Salant (1961 - 64 and 1966 - 79) explained the major media's role: "Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have." ...and to this very day most Americans haven't noticed they're being brained washed! ~ N. Hooben
Compare Trump's Speech With Obama's Last State of The Union Speech
"President's" last State of the Union endured by Americans by Bill Wilson
He (Obama) took over an hour to lecture Americans on the reason that his policies are not working is because of us, not him. The "president" was hard set on telling Americans that what they fear most is best for them, that change and progress is hard, especially if you fear it. Mr. "president," Americans do not fear the future. They don't fear you. They do have a healthy understanding of the consequences of bad leadership--they have seen it over the past decade. Fear isn't the reason there is so much push back from the Islamic Marxist agenda of this "president." The push back is because Americans know deep down in that it is bad for them, bad for their children, and the wrong direction for the country.
His claims that student loans are more affordable, that healthcare is more affordable, that the Islamic State is not a dire threat, that immigration isn't an economic threat, that the economic and job situation is thriving, and so on, can be countered with the facts. Over and over again, we are told that what we are experiencing in our every day lives, is not real. That the crime and mass murders and terrorism is the fault of a lack of gun control doesn't even pass the straight face test. His horrible and destructive policies of allowing undocumented aliens from terrorist sponsoring nations into this country at will is the hallmark of his legacy, the full measure of the type of change only an enemy would bring.
When he speaks of religious freedom, he is speaking of not criticizing Islam. When he speaks of marriage, he is speaking of homosexuals. He listed the things that "give us everything we need to ensure prosperity and security for generations to come." Among them were economic recovery, a reformed healthcare system, a reinvented energy system, and homosexual marriage. The reality we face every day is $18 trillion dollars of debt (over $8 trillion added in the past seven years), nearly 20 million people who want a full-time job and still cannot find one, a record number on food stamps--12.27 million more Americans than when he took office. Healthcare is unaffordable and he wants to tax us for climate change, something that is documented to be fabricated by unethical scientists. His world is fiction. The one we face is reality.
This kind of change is not something American's fear. They dread it. Deep down in they know it will bring disaster. The basis of survival for any nation is a secure border, for example. This "president" has purposely made our border insecure. He has pitted Americans against one another. Our nation lacks ethical, moral and spiritual leadership. We have endured seven years of this purposeful dismantling of our society. It is time for change--to the God-fearing, common sense we once had. Proverbs 29:2 says, "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn." We are a nation in mourning for bad choices in leadership. If only we can know it and change it.
(Bugout.news) By now most Americans who lean, politically, to the Left have made up their minds about the so-called “epidemic” of police shootings of black men around the country. It’s real, cops are the real threat to peace, and none of the men who have been killed in recent years were doing anything wrong. That is the narrative being put out by the race-baiters and race hustlers for the purpose of agitation; they are seeking radical changes in the way America is governed. The fact that there isn’t an epidemic and that whites and Hispanics are actually being killed at higher numbers by police doesn’t matter; it runs counter to the narrative being put out by the mainstream media and others, so it is a fact that gets trampled under the feet of so many protestors.
So it’s the 1960s all over again, right? No big deal. This, too, will “blow over.” Not so fast. What makes today much different than the violent protests of the turbulent 1960s and early 1970s is that officially, those protests were not being sanctioned by anyone in power. The administrations of President Lyndon B. Johnson and President Richard M. Nixon both condemned and sought to undermine and quell the unrest. The current occupant of the White House, by contrast, is not doing any of those things. Quite the opposite, in fact. Barack Obama the primary instigator of it. To watch him claim that we’re not seeing what we’re really seeing is about as Orwellian as it gets. Obama has been the instigator-in-chief of our racial division since the earliest days of his presidency, and police officers, especially, have been in his crosshairs. What is amazing is that there are still far too many people in our country who don’t understand Obama – who and what he is – and don’t believe he’s a threat to our nation. He’s a revolutionary, but not in the mold of our founders, in the mold of Che Guevara and that idiot down in Venezuela. He’s a prodigy of Saul Alinsky. He is engaging in political warfare because his goal has always been the same: Fundamental transformation of America. Since that utterance, few have even bothered to ask the obvious question: “If you love something so much, why do you want to fundamentally transform it?” Obama has about seven months left in office. There are rumors galore circulating around the Internet that the man is attempting to “start a race war,” “implement martial law so he can stay in office,” “round up our guns,” etc. It remains to be scene if any of these predictions are prescient or just ramblings of conspiracy theorists. But one is demonstrably provable: The American people are being riled up in ways not seen in decades, it’s being done purposefully, there are powers utilizing the unrest for their own personal political gain, and someone is behind it all because they have an agenda. What’s worse, thanks to Obama’s incessant “divide and conquer” strategy, the social change artists have a good head of steam – and no shortage of incidents to exploit. In other words, it appears as though we’re on the brink of societal chaos, and we’re not the only ones who think so. “We are sitting on a powder keg,” Charles Ramsey, the former D.C. police chief and one-time Philadelphia police commissioner, told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “You can call it a powder keg. You can say that we’re handling nitroglycerin, but obviously, when you just look at what’s going on, we’re in a very, very critical point in the history of this country.” What is going to set it off? Ramsey fears “some incident” at one of the national political conventions later this month. These same Left-wing revolutionaries have been threatening one political campaign – that of GOP presidential nominee-in-waiting Donald J. Trump – for months now. The Leftists are behind these protests. That tells you all you need to know about who’s campaign is being targeted and where (Cleveland) the powder keg will be when it explodes. What have you done to prepare yourself? The time may be at hand. If you’re just now getting started, good luck. If you’ve done your homework, prepped and prepared and trained, you’ll be in a much better position to protect and defend yourself and your loved ones. The test is coming, folks. The die appears to have been cast. More:
If America had a parliamentary system, Donald Trump — who spent his first
full day in office having a temper
tantrum, railing against accurate reports of small crowds at his
inauguration — would already be facing a vote of no confidence. But we don’t;
somehow we’re going to have to survive four years of this.
And how is he going to react to
disappointing numbers about things that actually matter?
In his lurid, ghastly Inaugural
Address,
Mr. Trump portrayed a nation in dire straits — “American carnage.” The real
America looks nothing like that; it has plenty of problems, but things could be
worse. In fact, it’s likely that they will indeed get worse. How will a man who
evidently can’t handle even the smallest blow to his ego deal with it?
Let’s talk about the predictable
bad news.
First, the economy. Listening to
Mr. Trump, you might have thought America was in the midst of a full-scale
depression, with “rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the
landscape of our nation.” Manufacturing
employment is indeed down since 2000; but overall employment is way
up, and the unemployment
rate is low by historical standards.
And it’s not just one number that
looks pretty good: Rising wages and the growing number of Americans confident
enough to quit their jobs suggest an economy close to
full employment.
What this means is that unemployment probably can’t fall
much from here, so that even with good policies and good luck, job creation
will be much slower than it was in the Obama years. And since bad stuff does
happen, there’s a strong likelihood that unemployment will be higher four years
from now than it is today.
Oh, and Trumpist budget deficits will probably widen the trade deficit, so
that manufacturing employment in particular is likely to fall, not rise.
A second front on which things will almost surely get worse is health care.
Obamacare caused the percentage of Americans without
insurance to fall sharply, to the lowest level ever. Repeal would send the
numbers right back up — 18
million newly uninsured in just the first year, eventually rising to more than
30 million, according to Congressional Budget Office estimates. And no,
Republicans who have spent seven years failing to come up with a real
replacement won’t develop one in the next few weeks, or ever.
On a third front, crime, the future direction is unclear. The Trump vision
of an urban America ravaged by “the crime and the gangs and the drugs” is a
dystopian fantasy: Violent
crime is, in fact, way down despite highly publicized recent murder
increases in a few cities. Crime could, I suppose, fall further, but it could
also rise. What we do know is that the Trump administration can’t pacify
America’s urban war zones, because those zones don’t exist.
So how will Mr. Trump handle the bad news of rising unemployment, plunging
health coverage, and little if any crime reduction? That’s obvious: He’ll deny
reality, the way he always does when it threatens his narcissism. But will his
supporters go along with his fantasy?
They might. After all, they blocked out the good news from the Obama era.
Two-thirds of Trump voters believe,
falsely, that the unemployment rate rose under Obama. (Three-quarters believe George
Soros is paying people to protest Mr. Trump.) Only 17
percent of self-identified Republicans are aware that the number of
uninsured is at a historic low. Most people thought crime was rising even when
it was falling. So maybe they will block out bad news in the Trump years.
But it probably won’t be that easy. For one thing, people tend to attribute
improvements in their personal situation to their own efforts; surely many
voters who gained jobs over the past eight years believe that they did it
despite, not thanks to, Obama policies. Will they correspondingly blame
themselves, not Donald Trump, for lost jobs and health insurance? Unlikely.
On top of that, Mr. Trump made big promises during the campaign, so the
risk of disillusionment is especially high.
Will he respond to bad news by accepting responsibility and trying to do
better? Will he renounce his fortune and enter a monastery? That seems equally
likely.
No, the insecure egomaniac-in-chief will almost surely deny awkward truths,
and berate the media for reporting them. And — this is what worries me — it’s
very likely that he’ll try to use his power to shoot the messengers.
Seriously, how do you think the man who compared the C.I.A. to Nazis will
react when the Bureau of Labor Statistics first reports a significant uptick in
unemployment or decline in manufacturing jobs? What’s he going to do when the
Centers for Disease Control and the Census Bureau report spiking numbers of
uninsured Americans?
You may have thought that last weekend’s temper tantrum was bad. But
there’s much, much worse to come.

My Two Cents
Things Can Only Get Worse when people believe columnists like Paul Krugman of the New York Times. He and the Times are part and parcel to the elitist/ globalist clan that put all of their efforts into undermining the United States Constitution in favor of a one-world-government which in and of itself is a ridiculous pre-occupation that can only end in world chaos. Each of the major players of this so-called New World Order have their individual agendas. You have the white supremacists of the Democratic Party which includes the New York times who placate the blacks into thinking they're on their side and who are battling for supremacy with Islamic fascists led by Barack Hussein Obama who placates the Russians, the Chinese, the North Koreans, and the Saudi Arabian kingdom in order to increase his army that will be "stronger than our military" and "fundamentally change" America. Of course the Chinese are no dummies so they placate Obama into thinking they're on his side. Then there's the always threatening North Korea that wants to send nuclear missiles to America but just can't get enough oomph into one of their rockets...but they keep trying. So here you have major population groups that want to do their own thing and with each comes a thing called, "language". Now I don't believe Paul Krugman or anyone over at the New York Times wants to speak Arabic for the rest of their lives...nor Chinese, North Korean, or Russian. But you know what? The Chinese, the Russians, The Islamists, and the North Koreans will all want you speaking their language. Ridiculous? Maybe not...some one of the above idiots will one day prove my point. A personal story... (nothing to do with airplanes)
The Lowly Enlisted Man…In Command
In my early days at the Military Dog Center I had
volunteered for the early shift whereas I would open up the clinic, do all the
early morning treatments scheduled for the dogs awaiting school, perform all
the laboratory fecal exams dropped off by the student dog handlers earlier, and
any Knott's test (for heartworm) that may have been scheduled the previous day
(students were instructed to drop by the clinic before attending that day's
class)...so anyway I thought that was a lot of responsibility for a guy that
had barely sewed on his second stripe but I enjoyed the work of working alone
and felt deep down that Dr. Husted had a lot of respect for me...especially
trusting me in this position. Meanwhile, one early morning as I walked from the
barracks across Lackland Air Force Base and over to the kennels/clinic area, I
spotted a dog handler with his dog already waiting for someone to open up the
clinic. It was still somewhat dark at that hour (cold too, I remember) so I could
not recognize the handler's uniform as to whether or not he was Army or Air
Force...and that didn't matter anyway, they were almost always young airmen or
soldiers who recently joined the service and were attending their first or
perhaps second so-called 'Tech School'.
Without really looking at the guy and his dog, I said
something of another that I really can't remember...just small talk that one
would use with people of about equal rank. I did inform him that he would have
to wait outside until I set up the clinic and that when I was ready for him I'd
let him know. A part of setting up the clinic was to place a wash pan with
sanitizer on the stand between the two exam tables. After setting up this last
item I went to the door and yelled out to the dog handler that it was OK to
come in now and that he should always upon entering the clinic yell out the
word's,
"Dog coming in!" ...there was also another rule
concerning that command...if the muzzle was off then please so indicate.
(Remember, this was in the days we only had those mean sentry dogs...not the
patrol dogs of later years). So as the guy was entering the clinic I had
stepped into the lab (in those days it was also a supply storage room) and told
him through the open door (still out of sight) to grab that sanitizer sponge
from the sanitizer placed between the tables and wipe down the table before
lifting his dog onto the table. Now by the time I had finished up in the lab
and entering the exam room I had my first glimpse of the soldier and his dog...the
soldier was much shorter than I but he had his back to me and I wasn't sure
that was a soldier's uniform fatigues or something the Air Force had...there
was just a hint of something that made it look different. Again, without
looking directly at the guy I walked around the table and over to the draw that
contained the syringes at the same time confirming with him that his dog was
here for a heartworm test.Remember now
that the guy is much shorter than me and when I turned I could see his face and
down to his upper part of his collar...the rest of his uniform was hidden by
the dog standing on the table in front of him. I told the guy to let the dog
lie down on the table as I would have to draw blood from the dog's front leg.
As the handler gave his dog the command to lie down I noticed something about
his voice...it was not the voice of a young soldier or airman, but an older,
more authoritative voice...the voice of a United States Marine Corps Brigadier
General! (It was then I saw the star on his collar).
Norm
ps: It's a rare occasion where a young low-ranking airman can give orders to a general!
