Back in 2007 I saw this headline:
“William And Mary President Orders Removal Of Cross”One of the nation’s oldest public institutions of higher education is roiled in dispute over a display of a bronze cross in a campus building.Last fall, College of William and Mary President Gene Nichol ordered that the cross, which has been displayed at the Wren Chapel since 1940...continue reading here
It goes without saying that founder, James Blair DD (Doctor of Divinity) would be appalled if he knew that over 300 years later his prestigious institution of higher learning would fall to influences of political correctness...in this case, influenced by not only the Democrat Party, but the devil himself. After all, the democrat party denounced God in their National Democrat Convention.
Well today someone sent me the following headline:
“Bishop Wants To Remove Crosses From Churches To Make Muslims More Comfortable” ...continue reading here
Now that's probably the most ridiculous headline ever to occupy Internet space. Since when do Christians remove their own identity to make Muslims more comfortable when Muslims sole purpose in life is to destroy Christianity, Judaism, and whatever other religious sect does not comply with their own.
Not always having the time to write a long disposition or explanation and the fact that many of my posts are collages and/or picture stories of something that inspired me, or thought of at the moment it was brought to my attention, I quickly put the following together with the hopes that Americans will come back to that which held us together; our churches...and synagogues, mostly churches:
Side story...
Regarding the smallest church in the U.S. of A., We stopped by there some years ago and I knew I took pictures of it but a quick search only found this:

Since that time I've found out that the church was burned...
Headline: WTOC Channel 11 'Smallest Church in America' destroyed in suspicious fire
Did you notice something about that picture?
Here, let me show you another picture (no relation to the above):
This church was bombed... |
Source for the following:
When Jesus carried His cross up Golgotha to be crucified, no one was thinking of the cross as symbolic of a burden to carry. To a person in the first-century, the cross meant one thing and one thing only: death by the most painful and humiliating means human beings could develop.
Two thousand years later, Christians view the cross as a cherished symbol of atonement, forgiveness, grace, and love. But in Jesus’ day, the cross represented nothing but torturous death. Because the Romans forced convicted criminals to carry their own crosses to the place of crucifixion, bearing a cross meant carrying their own execution device while facing ridicule along the way to death.
Final thoughts...
At another time when our country was in trouble and Francis Scott Key penned the words "Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there" as a line in what would become our national anthem, lets pray that in these troubling times that our crosses will still be there when Obama is gone and the Socialist Democrats and Rhino Republicans have all joined the devil in hell.
