Obama & family lose vacation spot

The ladies of the Inside Track are reporting in the Boston Herald that the first family will be on the hunt for a new vacation rental next summer. The Obamas have spent their last three summer vacations at the Blue Heron Farm in West Tisbury.
But this summer, their $50,000 a week vacation spot is not an option. Put on the market in September for $23.7 million, and recently sold, the 28.5-acre Blue Heron property will not be available for summer tenants.

Looks like President Obama will be looking for new accommodations this summer if he decides to make a return trip to Martha’s Vineyard.
Blue Heron Farm, the $22 million, posh, private estate where the First Family has done the fun-in-the-sun thing for the past three Augusts, has been sold. And word from The Rock is that the new owners don’t plan to lease their new summer playground to tenants — presidential or otherwise.
Listing broker Tom Wallace declined to identify the new owners of the West Tisbury retreat but told Patch.com that the “lovely family” is “unlikely (to) want to rent.”
As you might imagine, before Obama’s first vacation, the taxpayers ponied up to retrofit the house with all the security and communications equipment...
