Happy New Year...maybe?

Happy New Year... Wait a minute! Can I honestly say that? At the moment the only thing happy about it is that it is an election year and maybe, just maybe, we can turn this country around again. The previous year may go down in history as the year we lost America if we don't soon do something about it.
Hi. I've been inactive since just before Christmas and it may take me awhile to catch up on all that has been going on. One thing that is an ongoing problem is that we still have altogether too many people believing in party politics which is at the heart of the problem...especially among Democrats. I can't help but to repeat that oft used line from an old movie (often referred to as the definition of insanity and wrongly contributed to Albert Einstein) , "They keep on doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." These die-hard Democrats cannot identify anything good that their favorite candidates have done for the Country.
Case in point... Just last week I was speaking to an old friend over whatever good Ted Kennedy has done for the United States. The immediate answer from this long time supporter was that he (Ted Kennedy) was responsible for the National Sea Shore on Cape Cod. Talk about being out of touch with reality! ...and is this all she can think of? What a pity! (By the way, it was John F. Kennedy that was responsible for the National Sea Shore.) When I mentioned, "...altogether too many people..." above, I honestly believe that it includes most of the population in the Northeast. They don't have a clue as to the real problems we are facing...like losing out national sovereignty...losing our monetary system...losing our capability to defend ourselves...and on and on we go...everyone of these problems created by the very people we elected and the insanity continues...they keep right on doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Well this time they may have got what they been hoping for. Change! Change from a Republic to an Oligarchy. Change from freedom to serfdom. ...and on and on it goes and they still don't have a clue.

The entire Congress of the United States is corrupt.
And I mean both Houses and I mean both major parties.
I realize that a few Members of each House are trustworthy,
but, as a group they are absolutely the most corrupt bunch
to ever disgrace our Nation.

In November of 2010
the entire House of Representatives will stand for re-election;
all 435 of them.
One third of the Senate,
a total of 33 of them, will also stand for re-election.
Vote every incumbent out.
And I mean every one of them.
No matter their Party affiliation.
Let's start all over in the House of Representatives with 435 people who have absolutely no experience in running that body,
with no political favors owed to anyone but their own constituents.
Let's make them understand that they work for us...
They are answerable to us and they simply have to run that body with some common sense.
Two years later, in 2012,
vote the next third of the incumbents in the Senate out.
We can do the same thing in 2014 and,
by that time we will have put all new people in that body as well.

We, the People,have got to take this Country back and we HAVE to do it peacefully.
That's what the Framers of our Constitution envisioned.

I am also suggesting term limits on the NEW BUNCH Ý
8 YEARS FOR REPRESENTATIVES AND 12 YEARS OF SENATORS.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
THE LONGER THEY STAY IN OFFICE THE MORE POWER THEY GET
AND THEY LOVE IT AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET RE-ELECTED.

WE HAVE TERM LIMITED THE PRESIDENT Ý
NOW LET'S TERM LIMIT THE LEGISLATORS.

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some Exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back And stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.
In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked,'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. 'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly, the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity. The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America.
The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms- just a little at a time.
One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free Lunch!' Also, 'You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

You apparently don't share a sense of patriotism, Americanism, freedomism, or whatever kind of 'ism' that true Americans believe in... You do however, display a bit of socialism, communism, marxism or whatever kind of 'ism' that you make excuses for... ~ Norman E.
